Had to stop by here after seeing the wonderful reviews. We were watching a movie nextdoor so figured it would be perfect to try some food here after. We walked in and there was no one else there, so plus for us! The lady there was so kind and helpful! I was trying to describe the dish I really enjoy at another indian restaurant and she listened and offered suggestions. You could really tell she wanted us to be happy with our order. She asked the chef for his recommendation and we decided on one paneer, curry type dish and the stuffed naan bread. The restaurant is cozy inside, plenty of tables and chairs, plus they have a cute patio attached, which is also nice for people watching and being outdoor. Great location as they do have the movie theatre and there was a small farmer's market going on, and the brewery is across the way. The food was good, I didn't like it as much as the dish I had before, but the service here is so great, its worth it to come back and try more! Let me start by saying that service is excellent! Everyone is extremely polite, very knowledgeable about the dishes and very respectful to customers. They have an extensive menu with vegan options clearly marked so you don't have to guess or request changes. Unfortunately, the food itself is missing the strong flavors that define Indian cuisine. Yes, they can cook the food as spicy as you want but that doesn't change the flavors. I would say, this is more "commercial" Indian food that caters to 90% of the people and not to the 10% who enjoy truly authentic dishes. The inside of the restaurant is dated and cluttered and the bathroom is in very poor condition. If this is the first time you try Indian food or if you enjoy a blander taste, this is a good place to go to or even better order take out. read more

First time going to Sattava. Was craving for Indian food and it did not disappoint. Curry's, Naan, and Rice were all very good. What surprised me was the beer. That was very light and refreshing. Server came outside multiple times to check on us and turned on the outside heater since it was getting chilly. Yes, it was so good that we craved more and came back again with one of our sons. After trying the butter chicken Frankie wrap, our 2 other sons wanted more, specifically for their lunch tomorrow. (Yes, we were warned that it's best fresh, but we informed the chef that they had the leftover wrap this morning after it being refrigerated overnight and reheated.) On top of our regular items, we tried a new curry that was recommended by the chef (chicken andhra), as well as a new bread (paneer kulcha).
