Realized the first day something was off when he had trouble using multiple glue down products he couldn't get right so he decided to nail. Ended up not nailing properly, or not even at all in some areas, since we have boards shifting and leaving huge gaps. His recommendation was us paying for his mistake by going over 2000 sqft with wood filler putty. He constantly made promises he never kept, had horrible communication, rushed his work which left damage and improper installation, and constantly demanded more money despite not finishing the work. Even the work on my stairs were so badly done despite him telling me it was the easiest way for him. The floors were never properly leveled by him before install despite him assuring me it would be fine. It wasn't and feels awful to walk on when you can notice this huge bumps and dips. Baseboards now need extra work to fit flush with such huge gaps. Him and his crew never cleaned up either. In fact, they even left their cigarettes and trash in our yard for us to clean. Very unprofessional. Cruickson even had the audacity to threaten to not finish work I had already paid him for if I didn't pay his gas and other projects he hadn't finished. He constantly reminded us how poor he was to try to prey on our sympathy. Don't do business with this dishonest crook. Stay far far away.

I recently used Carpet Control in Graham, North Carolina, and I am extremely pleased with their…read moreservice. I called them to clean four carpets in my home, and they were able to come within three days of my call--talk about efficiency! I spoke to Valerie, who works alongside her husband. She was friendly and professional, even calling me when they were on their way. When they arrived, they quickly surveyed the carpets and quoted me a very reasonable price of $200 for all four. They told me it would take about an hour, and they delivered on that promise! The team managed to remove oil, ink, soda, and other dark spots that I thought would never come out. The carpets look fantastic now! A note for future customers: this is not a full-service company that moves furniture, so you'll need to do that yourself. However, for the price and the quality of cleaning, Carpet Control is absolutely worth it. One small thing to be aware of--Valerie's husband is quite the talker. He loves to chat, and while it may be a bit much at times, the excellent results they deliver make it all worthwhile. If you need quality carpet cleaning at a great price, I definitely recommend giving Carpet Control a call!

The estimate he provided was far more detailed and thorough than any of the others we got. They were very fair as far as price, too- there were a lot of people charging a lot more for less detailed estimates. He explained what we could expect from day one through completion of the project, which made it really easy to manage our expectations about when we would be able to use our (only!) shower again. We went to their showroom and Heath guided us through the tile picking process, which initially seemed overwhelming but he made enjoyable. He coordinated with our plumber, and handled the painting crew. We are thrilled that the process was so smooth! We would hire Flooring by Design again in a heartbeat.
