    Chicken and shrimp
    Gregory B.

Something is missing. I can't quite put my finger on it. The flavor is absent and when you try to add the yum yum sauce to compensate, it's a moot point because the yum yum sauce has way too much mayo. I don't want to be too critical because criticism can be rough. It's tough because the chef seems like he loves his job because he was singing songs (in what sounded like arabic?) behind the counter. More power to him. I'm just saying... think more "Top Chef" and less "American Idol". I'll spend the rest of the review saying that the place is clean, the customer service was friendly, my soda was good, and the actual cook of the food was decent. A simple purchase of some salt... maybe a little sugar, and and this place could jump two stars.

The underwhelming chicken bento box...best part? The dumplings
    N3wcovenant ..

I had high hopes because the images of their chicken bento box looked appetizing...especially after missing breakfast. I ordered fried rice with my chicken bento box that came with a salad, 3 dumplings and 4 California rolls. The best parts of my meal were the sides. I expected a ginger based salad dressing but the type used was more oily like a vinaigrette but tasty. The dumplings were awesome and the rolls were as expected. I did not like they wasabi...quite mediocre and the pickled ginger slices were lacking and did not have much of a flavor. The chicken terayki was not great...I've had better at the mall to be honest. The fried rice unfortunately still resembled plain white rice in some parts. If I ever return here it would be for the dumplings. And perhaps the shrimp tempura.

Must admit the food here is quite tasty & fresh!!…read more This spot definitely has become of my "go-to"s" when in this area. The food is fast, quick, and offers a good variety of menu items to mix in to the fold when it comes to looking for fast-casual places offering healthy options--like fresh vegetable and decent proteins. The menu is mostly comprised of hibachi eats, but surprisingly.....this place offers Pho and Noodle dishes as well. In similar fashion to Chipotle but just on an Asian fare tip....you walk down an assembly line of options starting with noodle/rice choices and assemble your bowl of delicious, healthy veggies, proteins and toppings. Place like this is my kind of playground. It gives you a chance to change things up every now and then......from the same old....same ole! On this day I came here and got a steak and jumbo shrimp bowl that was everything! The proteins were seasoned and packed with flavor. The veggies were cooked just right.....from the cabbage, carrots , pickled onions and mushroom toppings. Not to mention the portions were quite hefty....more than I can say than similar places like this that serves similar format....and we all know who I am referring to. In all, I always enjoy coming here. The customer experience and service is top notch. Not to mention, the food quality and fast has been pretty consistent and has not missed the mark! The establishment is always clean and the food stations are spotless. The vibe is very casual and laid back, with lots of dining space if you decided to eat-in but I notice this location is mostly take out. SakuraGo gets a "Thumbs Up" in my book and I recommend! It's definitely worth a visit when in this area. *ELITE TIP: Join the rewards program Lots of perks, deals, discounts and a cool way to earn a free meal.....and who doesn't like that!! :-)

I usually get the hibachi rice or noodle bowl with chicken teriyaki, and it's consistently tasty. Recently, I was craving pho but didn't want to travel far. I've tried the few pho options in this area before and was always disappointed, so my expectations were low. This time, I was genuinely shocked...in a good way. The pho was extremely flavorful and honestly exceeded my expectations. I was excited because now I don't have to go all the way to DC to get pho that actually has flavor. I highly recommend this place, especially if you're looking for something quick and convenient. There is seating available, but they also package food very well for takeout. I'm honestly surprised this place doesn't have higher ratings. Sorry, no pics. I was hungry!

It's so flavorful, the noodles are so bouncy and don't get overcooked in the broth. I often don't finish ramen broth anyway bc it's quite salty (they do offer ramen broth bowls if that's what your feeling). All that to say, the aburasoba that they do here is really good. I was aware of this spot for a while now after the old Foxfire grill closed but taking the time out to try it has been tricky. Well, what's a better time than 30 minutes before closing time to just pop in and grab a couple of bowls then! It's cold, it's night, it's ramen time! We stumble in grab some shoyu, miso, seaweek salad, takoyaki, karaage, and tiramisu at the end. This place feels like a Japanese version of a Pho shop. Clean restaurant and clean bathrooms. Service was good, straigh forward, skip all the pleasantries. No Bars here but there is a connected space where you can get matcha drinks and boba but its matcha. Everything was matcha. If you're into that stuff, then that's a matcha for you. Ramens were okay. Broth was blowing my mind in flavor. I would say the depth was not too deep but this will work for a cold night. Karaage was okay. Takoyaki lacked impact in flavor also, missing the oomf! Seaweed salad was good but I'm not gonna rave about seaweed salad. We wrapped things up with the tiramisu cake. Oh boy, that was a surprise. It fell flat. The layers were overcooked and had a tough bite. I expect tiramisu to have a tender bite to it. We didn't finish that slice of cake. Well, we left full but half fulfilled. Was it worth it? Not really. If you need ramen and cup o noodles isn't cutting it, this is an option. Then again, there are options.

It comes loaded with a California roll, spring rolls, and a few dumplings. The Yum Yum sauce is the perfect sweet-and-spicy balance and pairs beautifully with the teriyaki. One things is that the shrimp are not abundant so order extra, I think we had about 8 in each order, a bit of a bummer. It's an all-you-can-eat experience where the food is brought to your table and you cook it yourself. The service was the highlight of our visit. Our server was wonderful, the hostess was welcoming and full of personality, and another staff member even stopped by to make sure we were being helped. That level of attentiveness is rare and appreciated. We ordered quite a variety, including squid, shredded chicken, shredded beef, shrimp, rolled beef, top steak, and several sushi selections. Most of the food was good, and everything arrived promptly. The sushi was decent, though not quite as fresh as I expected. I was also surprised that the top steak came as small cubes rather than a steak portion. The biggest disappointment was the no take-home policy. As first-time visitors, we didn't realize how much food would come with some of our orders and ended up leaving a significant amount behind. It's frustrating to see good food go to waste after you've already paid for the meal. The restaurant itself could use some updating. Several booth seats were worn and cracked, with foam showing through the upholstery. At $32-$37 per person, the dining area should feel a little more refreshed. For drinks, I had the Lychee Martini, which was weaker than expected, and my husband tried one of the Ocean cocktails and thought it was just average. He ended up ordering his usual tequila shot and a beer afterward. The drinks weren't bad, but they didn't live up to the rave reviews we had read beforehand. Overall, we enjoyed the experience, especially because of the excellent service and unique dining concept. With a few updates and some reconsideration of the leftover food policy, this could easily be a 5-star experience.
