Use "the spot" app for online orders. Make sure to pick the correct location before ordering. There is a " The Spot Food Hall" in Rockville, MD. They have signs telling customers to use the kiosk. Special orders are handled at the register. Here are the 4 dishes that were ordered: 1) The Seaweed Salad had a well-balanced flavor of sugar, salt, sesame oil, and rice vinegar. The texture was slightly crunchy, which was just right. My wife and I enjoyed it. Soy sauce instead of salt would make this more flavorful and better tasting. 2) The Fried Pork Roll sushi had crispy pork and avocado with a bit of spicy mayo between them. They were wrapped in 2 layers of nori and rice. The pork was a little dry and slightly chewy. It had a good fried flavor. It reminded me of tempura pork. They had wasabi in packets. You have to request it. Overall, this sushi was good tasting, especially when a little wasabi and soy sauce were added. 3) The Tan Tan Men noodle dish had spicy sesame flavored soup with fish cakes, boiled egg, scallions, corn, bamboo shoots, and roasted seaweed. You get a choice of spicy ground meat, chicken thigh, or chashu pork. We chose chashu pork. The noodle choices are ramen or udon. We chose ramen noodles. The broth was moderately spicy and nicely balanced in flavor. It had flavors of soy sauce, sesame, sugar, rice vinegar, chicken broth, and red chile. Everything was cooked well. Chashu pork is pork belly braised in a sweet soy sauce based broth. It was tender and somewhat moist. My only complaint is that it had only 4 pieces of pork. 4) Their poké bowl menu had a good variety of choices. 5 bases (rice, noodles, or salad), 13 mix-ins, 14 proteins, 8 sauces, and 6 toppings. All proteins cost extra. We got the Seared Salmon bowl with all the mix-ins except jalapeños, pickled ginger, and pineapple. We chose roasted sesame sauce and wasabi yuzu sauce. We got all 6 toppings. They were fried onions, fried garlic, sesame seed, furikake, bonito flakes, and shredded seaweed. We went home and poured everything into a large bowl and thoroughly mixed it. It was incredibly flavorful and a harmonious blend of umami flavors. The seared salmon was moist and tender with a decent flavor (no grill flavor, though). There wasn't a lot of salmon. This was a lot of food and worth the price. It can get pricey if you put a lot of protein in it. FYI: furikake is a dry condiment that typically consists of a mixture of dried fish, sesame seeds, chopped seaweed, sugar, salt, and monosodium glutamate. Bonito flakes are smoked, fermented, and dried fish fillets that are shaved into thin flakes. The service was polite, relatively quick, and patient. The restrooms and dining room were clean. Seating is plentiful because they're in a food court. There's no outdoor seating. They're located in a shopping center called Restaurant Row Apollo. Parking is plentiful and free. This eatery is in an upper middle class area and is easy to access. There are 5 other eateries in the food hall. But, if you're in the mood for Japanese food, then this is the place. Their sushi was typical, but the bowl and ramen were good. Those are the dishes I would recommend.

Enjoyed the sushi here. The fish was fresh and flavorful. The spicy tuna roll was a hit. Staff were…read moreattentive and polite. Would visit again.

There is security that will come after you if you parked way too early, so just be aware to wait a little bit before parking in the spot. Like probably 10 minutes before they open. I had a lot of fun looking at all the seafoods that they have there. For a Monday morning it was semi busy. My husband and i got a bushel of the female crabs. Remember prices may very so make sure to check their instagram or facebook for updates. We lovedddddd the crabs, we also got shrimp and some fillets of fishes. It was all great. But the crabs were phenomenal. I would come back again because it was great experience. And if you want them to steam your crabs it will only be $5.00

And the seafood is FRESH fresh. I even got a live performance from one of the crabs trying to make an escape. I vaguely remember Captain White's from the old Wharf days, so it was nice finally checking out the newer setup. If I were big on cooking seafood at home, I could definitely see myself stopping here whenever I'm in the area. I picked up shrimp and a whole Dungeness crab. Very expensive, in my opinion, but I wanted to try it. This was actually my first time eating Dungeness crab. It had a LOT of meat, which I appreciated. The flavor was a little different for me--definitely an acquired taste--but it was good. The shrimp was tasty too. I cooked it at home in a light Old Bay butter and THAT was the move. Overall, quite the seafood experience. Come prepared for crowds, plenty of choices...and apparently live entertainment from the crabs.
