This was my first time actually going to this location. I ordered via UberEats Teriyaki Chicken Combo which is Steamed Cabbage/Carrots and white rice Or for 70 cents more you can get Fried Rice!.. I was greeted immediately the guy was pleasant and got my order immediately. The Ambience was clean and organized. I loved. That the food was very flavorful and it was light it wasn't heavy and it was healthy but flavorful all across the board and the portions were filling. I absolutely LOVE their Sushi at whatever location lol . I'd come back and order from here again!

California Rolls and Shrimp Tempura

I've never been a big fan of Sarku Japan and now I remember why. The quality of their food is not great. Shrimp tempura?? How about tasteless fried breading with a Shrimp tail. There was barely any Shrimp inside the breading. You can tell this item was store brought, probably from Restaurant Depot. And where's the sauce? Maybe the sauce could've added some flavor, but that wasn't included. Definitely not worth the $4.59.... I also didn't get soy sauce with my sushi. People shouldn't have to ask for sauces that should come with the food. If you want Sushi, go to Wegmans! I won't be coming back to this place anytime soon.

2 chicken and shrimp entrees Shrimp tempura roll And 1 yum yum sauce

The food is fine, I used to come to this place all the time but I see that things have changed over the years and now you have new people there , I spent a good amount of money on my food for me and my wife and one of the employees packed my bag didn't even bother to ask me did I want sauce so I had to ask , then when I asked she only gave me 1 sauce and I have 2 entrees, the size of the sauce cup is not enough for 2 meals I asked for another for the other meal, and instead she wanted to be quick to charge me for sauce instead of just giving me 1 extra sauce that way both entrees have sauce instead I felt like she wanted to be petty and just charge me for sauce. If you decide to eat at this location just expect people to be rude. I'll be going to quikway for now on.

Shrimp bento box

What I wanted was sashimi, found a rice bowl place that said they had some sushi rolls, or that's the best was to describe it. About 8 different rolls and a number of meats over rice. Tasty but not sushi and definitely not sashimi. What I had was fast, cheap, fresh and tasty but not sushi. (I had the shrimp bento box on brown rice)

I absolutely love this location. The employees are fantastic and the manager/owner is such a sweet guy. He actually cares about his patrons and he's great to chat with. We regularly come here. It's the only fast food restaurant in the immediate area that doesn't have employees who give more attitude than service. I literally despise the area because of the attitudes of all the employees at all the immediate fast food restaurants but not here. Thanks for continued great service!

Service: The cashier was not as prompt and friendly as other restaurants but not overly rude either. Food: Sushi is not truly fresh but still eatable. Also, sushi chef's rolling skills need a little work. The roll wasn't as tight and aesthetically pleasing as higher end sushi places.

We started with the sashimi appetizer for $12. There were 6 large pieces...salmon, tuna, and yellowtail. All fresh and very very good. The wasabi was even of high quality. The sushi rolls were pick any 2 for $13. Absolutely fantastic rolls. I came in for the volcano bowl and I would come back again for the volcano bowl. I like a spicy broth and this was perfect. The curly noodles were just the right size and they were freshly made. The pork was very high quality and was a great treat. The Akira ramen was not spicy, but was still very tasty. The skinny noodles are wheat noodles, but didn't taste any different from regular noodles. The bento box was very good as well. The chicken was cooked to perfection and the teriyaki sauce was excellent. The waitress was really good and finished the night with some complimentary bites of the mochi. Great night, great food, great people! Compliments to all from the servers to the chefs!

Easy access to a garage that's just around the corner because it is on a very busy street. So garage parking is a must. I don't believe they have been open too long as they are still working on their liquor license. Very cute restaurant nice and tidy but a lot of personality in a small space. I was greeted when I walked in and since I was by myself I opted to sit at the sushi bar area. I forgot to take a picture of my food when I came out because I was so hungry...but the rolls were delicious and fresh. I also took some ramen home and I loved how they packaged everything up for me. I would give them a 3.75 stars because I wish they offered more ramen like beef and with the chicken broth not chicken that's fried. As the chicken was soggy and not eatable when I got home even though it was separated from the ramen. I would give them another try if I'm in the area to try more rolls and their alcohol selection.

He walked me through the options and ordering was a breeze. The price point is a little higher than your average all you can eat dining experience, but well worth it. I must've had 15 pieces of nigiri. Having worked in a sushi restaurant I can tell you it was phenomenally well done. Beautifully fresh and buttery and the sushi rice was perfect. The eel kamameshi was a highlight and came with a showing amount of eel. Finished everything off with the matcha tiramisu and a cup of green tea. I won't need to eat for days. Will definitely be coming back! Thank you Kay and team!

If I'm honest, whenever I…read moreshow up to an AYCE I'm always skeptical with the quality of the food, especially when it comes to sushi but wow, I was blown away how great it was for AYCE. The set- up and the ambiance is very comfortable and sleek/modern with the main sushi chefs in the middle and the tables around them. The tables have waiters and a tablet at the table like most hot pot/kbbq places and you can order everything off of there. I have only been here once and wanted to try to low tier without going "all in" on the top tier option of diamond without knowing how the basics would taste. Let me say if the bottom tier was as good as it was, I'm excited to come back to try the next tier! Anyway, the basic tier already comes with a lot of sushi options and should be enough for those who are craving just sushi. All of the cuts of nigiri was great, all tender with great flavor, but what stood out to me the most was actually the yellowtail, super buttery and great flavor. The eel was also a top choice! All the rolls were good basic to the fancier ones, I would say that most of the bang for the buck would be the nigiri. The rolls are good but a little too much rice for me personally. The appetizers, didn't spend too much time on them but the chicken karaage was solid and the seaweed salad was my two favorite. Overall, super solid for the price and I'd totally want to go again to try more of their options! 100% recommend!

REVIEW UPDATE: August 14, 2026…read more Sakura Hibachi and Poke is now SakuraGo Fresh Hibachi & Pho. It is a huge upgrade from the previous iterations of Sakura at this location. They serve pho and rice/noodles bowls. It is a build-your-own bowl concept similar to many other rice bowl chains and small businesses in the DMV. The toppings are all savory and umami flavors. This place is perfect for the buy lunch and save the leftovers for dinner as the portions are large. After a couple visits, the flavors have becomes slightly more complex and the proteins are as good as anything else, but I wish they had more flavors to compliment the proteins. Teriyaki sauce is the sweetest ingredient you'll get. Perhaps plantain or classic street corn will help to cut the dominance of savory flavors. The shrimp and salmon look delicious, although I've yet to try them. They also have delicious pho soup. Overall, a very good rice and noodle bowl option in the Largo/Kettering area. REVIEW UPDATE: December 15, 2023 Since the original review in 2021 I've returned a few times and the food was delicious. I'm giving this restaurant a 4* knowing that it is a restaurant in a league of takeout restaurants. I typically specify restaurant class when giving reviews so that Yelpers understand that a 4* for a takeout restaurant is not the same as a 4* for an upscale dine-in restaurant. Primarily a take-out restaurant this place consistently produces delicious teriyaki and hibachi. The ordering process is seamless and quality of the food is good. You can see them prepare the food on the grill using good cooking technique to cook the proteins. Overall a good experience and I will continue to visit. ORIGINAL REVIEW: December 16, 2021 For a local Hibachi and Teriyaki restaurant this place meets the mark. At the same time when it comes to Hibachi and Teriyaki takeout in the local area you have to go in with lower expectations because sometimes the customer service and quality can be a mixed bag from fresh and exceptional to downright offensive. Sakura Hibachi and Poke seems to take pride in their dishes. I ordered the Chicken & Steak Hibachi with a side order of Shrimp Tempura. Flavors for both dishes were near equal to the quality at a dine-in Hibachi restaurant. I asked for some teriyaki sauce on my chicken and steak and they poured just the right amount. They didn't drench my food in the sauce nor did they come up short. Food seemed to be fresh. However I would have liked to see them take more pride in the self-serve condiments station which looked very unkept and messy. For me that sight turns me off especially when there are open sauce jars with serving spoons inside. It wasn't a deal-breaker for me but the fact this isn't a conventional "sit-down" restaurant I think they could stick to individually packaged condiments and minimize risks all. Yes, there are seats for customers to dine-in, but this restaurant seems to be more of a take-out establishment. Overall, decent experience. I'll return.

You will have to pour your own boiling water broth into the bowl. The broth was bland, watered down and missing the typical rich pho flavor. And the noodles were overly starchy and chewy. In a typical pho restaurant, they will blanch the pho noodles in the broth to get rid of that. In this case, the cook took the dry noodles out of the bag and plopped it into a "to-go" bowl. I am Vietnamese and used to work in an authentic pho restaurant in San Jose. Don't expect traditional experience here. The food is fast, quick, and offers a good variety of menu items to mix in to the fold when it comes to looking for fast-casual places offering healthy options--like fresh vegetable and decent proteins. The menu is mostly comprised of hibachi eats, but surprisingly.....this place offers Pho and Noodle dishes as well. In similar fashion to Chipotle but just on an Asian fare tip....you walk down an assembly line of options starting with noodle/rice choices and assemble your bowl of delicious, healthy veggies, proteins and toppings. Place like this is my kind of playground. It gives you a chance to change things up every now and then......from the same old....same ole! On this day I came here and got a steak and jumbo shrimp bowl that was everything! The proteins were seasoned and packed with flavor. The veggies were cooked just right.....from the cabbage, carrots , pickled onions and mushroom toppings. Not to mention the portions were quite hefty....more than I can say than similar places like this that serves similar format....and we all know who I am referring to. In all, I always enjoy coming here. The customer experience and service is top notch. Not to mention, the food quality and fast has been pretty consistent and has not missed the mark! The establishment is always clean and the food stations are spotless. The vibe is very casual and laid back, with lots of dining space if you decided to eat-in but I notice this location is mostly take out. SakuraGo gets a "Thumbs Up" in my book and I recommend!
