She offered to throw in a smash cake for free, and even offered to deliver it before the 1 pm party. I was so excited. At noon, I received an email from Tiana saying the cake had been damaged. She was working on fixing it. Her next email came at 1:30, saying the damage was worse than she thought, but she was still working on repairing it. That was the last time that I have heard from her. I tried to call her, no answer, and her voicemail was full. So now, throughout the party with 30 guests at my home, I was checking email, calling her, and finally, had to send my husband out to the store for a cake in the middle of his son's first birthday party. As of now, I still haven't heard from her. No explanation, no reason why she never delivered the cake or let me know what was happening. And, although I'm very disappointed about the cake, it is just a cake, and my son will never remember. I am most upset about the lack of communication by her after the fact. She is a businesswoman and a mother, I just can't comprehend how she can do this to someone. Look elsewhere for a more professional cake designer and baker.

They are abundant (try almost every checkout line open during rush) and helpful, and friendly, and the store is well stocked and well managed. No self checkout crap. You don't need it, there's always a line open. We'd kill for an upgraded facility like the nicer newer Market Baskets that do exist, but our Bellingham store crew, from the managers to the baggers are amazing, and make shopping here worth the visit. Their meat department is wonderful, the seafood is great and if you can get near the deli, they work hard and are great too. Finally, a shout out to the bakery and prepared food folks - they are awesome. The food is great and they couldn't be more helpful. We love MB, just wish it was as a new one. Oh, and don't go near the place the day before a major snowstorm, or any Sunday at noon. Plan your visit if possible. 5 stars for the staff and people and management, 3 for the facility. The woman who helped me was kind and friendly. I got a few cheesecakes to go with my ice cream and then got in my car to head home. I ate the ice cream on the way. I chose strawberry. It was a solid strawberry ice cream. Good flavor, decent texture. When I got to my kitchen, I took a bite of each of the cheesecakes I got, because I NEEDED to know what they tasted like. Mango Tango, Key Lime and Lemon Blueberry (can you tell I like fruity flavors?) The cheesecake itself was thick and creamy but not too rich. Each of the flavors came through.
