We stopped by here to grab some pastries for our guests. It looks like a small family run business, which is confirmed on their website. I liked their about section, and a few excerpts follow: I love to provide baked goods and help make your day a little sweeter! With cupcakes, cookies, whoopie pies, cake balls, cheesecakes and more; you are sure to discover something sweet that puts a bounce in your step. I love baking so much that I even received a Baking Award when I graduated High School. I started baking desserts and custom cakes here and there for my friends and family for fun. Realizing how much fun it was to bring joy to someone by adding a bit of sparkle to their celebration was rewarding to say the least. My friend and I recently stopped at this shop on a whim. What a great gem!! We were trying to decide which of the beautiful treats we wanted to try so we asked the owner Timothy Jay about the fillings and he was more than happy to give us a detailed description of each one!!! Timothy Jay is delightful, we ended up talking about all sorts of things with him and he had us laughing. I picked a white chocolate raspberry cupcake for my mom and husband and a triple chocolate for myself. My cupcake was chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and real chocolate sprinkles (not the candy sprinkles you usually get...these will actually melt if you were to hold them in your hands)on top. It was amazing... I'm usually not a big frosting lover, but that ganache was perfect. I also had one of his peanut butter cookies that he makes using his moms recipe and that was also delicious. We will definitely be returning to try some of his seasonal flavors (he has St Patrick's cupcakes now). Thank you Timothy!!! read more

The owner was expeditious in returning my call, answering all of my inquiries about a potential birthday cake order for. Then I Picked up my cake to find that the flowers that I requested were not present on the cake & it looked lot it was decorated but a 5th grader! It only got worse from there. I got home ready to enjoy my cake only to cut into it and have the knife resisting my knife at each layer (there were multiple layers of lemon filling) because of the hard crust that was on each cake pans contents, having the resistance on the knife exceeding that necessary to cut ANY of my other ANNUAL birthday cakes for the last 54 years! Now on to actually attempting to choke down the most dense piece of cake I've eaten in my entire life. It brought Christmas fruitcake to mind in its density. The buttercream frosting was thin & essentially tasteless despite allegedly being vanilla flavored, but dry and crumbled and cracked when cut. This was by far the worst cake I've had in my entire life! My sister went with me when I picked up the cake and purchased a cupcake, and the Baker told her about allowing it to reach room temperature before eating it. And some story about people having complained about them being cold. She did as directed and told me it was still disgusting and dry. My cake also was extremely dry despite being dense and flavorless. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BAKER OR YOU'LL BE WASTING YOUR MONEY. I SPENT NEARLY $50 FOR AN INEDIBLE CAKE! Note: Because of this experience. I am going to learn how to make my own birthday cake. Exactly the way I've been having it for the last 54 years. It's sad that I have to make my own birthday cake. Because a bakery has made such a terrible cake that you don't even wanna trust to other bakeries any longer. read more

Cupcakes were awful bought a couple for my grandson's bday hard not fresh and literally the weirdest frosting ever . Nasty and the frosting got hard like lard. This is my personal opinion. Your experience may vary. A recent visit has renewed my suspicion that highway robbery still exists and is alive and well in Millbury. I am also firmly convinced New Englanders have no idea as to quality food unless its deep fried if the previous reviews are to be believed. I sampled their hocus pocus, chocolate boston cream, and cookies and cream cupcakes and have just one word to describe the experience. GARBAGE! Heres a few more in case that didnt resonate. DISGUSTING! DISAPPOINTING! MY KINGDOM FOR AN ENTENMANNS! First, the icing is nasty, it has the consistency of and finishes on the palate, lips, teeth and tongue like it was made from lard. Not something I would expect from a $3.75 cupcake. Second, the cake itself was dense NOT fluffy, again a characteristic shared with lard baked goods. Not something I would expect from a $3.75 cupcake. Lastly, the cupcake was the size of a normal store bought product possibly a tiny bit smaller but hey lets give them the benefit of bad lighting. Not something I would expect from a $3.75 cupcake. In summation. These cupcakes are not tasty, not visually appealing and quite frankly an insult to real cupcakes. I have no issue with paying $3.75 for a decadent treat and had I known what awaited me I would have hi tailed it to dunkin donuts down the street. At least you know what youre getting and no one is going to mug you at the register. Figuratively of course. It is my opinion that you should pass this one by at warp speed. read more

Where to begin? Well, I was desperate to order a custom cake since the place I normally go to cancelled my order last minute, so I reached out to Timothy. He was gracious and kind enough to do my cake, and even did some of his own research to make sure my custom cake came out exactly as I wanted. Also, the pricing was very reasonable, especially considering the last minute custom order. Walking in, even with a N95 on, I was greeted with the most delicious smell. Everything was clean, and obviously there were markers to help guide customers in and out while abiding by social distancing guidelines. Timothy greeted me and then brought me back to see the cake. Holy Toledo, this man is a true artist. Aside from being one of the kindest people I've ever met (and I've met A LOT of people), he oozes passion for his craft. I've been to other cafes or bakeries multiple times a week for years and treated like a stranger, and yet in my first encounter with Timothy he made me feel welcomed. The cake was delicious. It was everything and more that I had hoped for. I truly believe this place can be successful, but it's going to take our local community to help it along throughout all the current restrictions. So, please go give this place a try, you won't be disappointed. read more

The cupcakes were hard and stale and definitely not made the same day. The frosting reflected this as well. Same with the cookies.
