This one nails the crackly, the flaky, and the fluffy, with buttery noticeable but less pronounced than some others closer to Boston. Excellent. -- Caramel Almond Kouign Amann: Pretty much what the description says, with the two name ingredients giving a bit of a snickers feel. Dough solid. -- Pistachio Croissant: One of the most eye-catching, and dare I say (ugh) Instagrammable? Fortunately, the textures and flavors match up. It's a thinner, sweeter version of pistachio filling, but a tasty one. Just the right crunch and give to the dough. -- Pain Swisse: Perfect texture, with the wiry dough fibers wrapping the outside contrasting the more delicate dough beneath. Just enough custard and chocolate to round it out while letting the dough shine brightest. -- Vanilla Raspberry Pain Swisse: Same great texture as the pain one, with a beautiful red triangle to boost the presentation. Interior less sophisticated than I hoped -- filling closer to a jelly donut, and vanilla less prominent -- but still delicious. -- Cardamom Bun: Great contrast between crunchy and airy on the dough-- with spicy crumbage outside-- and the creamy, custardy filling.
