Unfortunately the food and drink didn't quite live up to my expectations. I ordered a cortado and a slice of carrot chai tea bread. The cortado had an unpleasant bitter aftertaste, like the espresso beans were overroasted. I did not realize the bread was gluten-free until I took a bite. The texture was good between the softness of the bread and the crunch of the pumpkin seeds, but didn't have the chai flavor I hoped for. I was asked if I wanted the bread warmed up and buttered so I said yes, not realizing the butter was an extra 75 cents until I checked my receipt. Feels like a bit much for a slice of bread that's already $6.75 (more than my cortado which was $4.50). On the more positive side, the shop is large and spacious with plenty of tables and chairs. There's a play area for children which is pretty cool if you have little ones with you. The ambiance is pretty unique since this is a repurposed garage. They seem very community-oriented with the event posting board at the entrance and the other local products for sale near the register. I saw ingredients like cinnamon, cardamom, and coconut, and I was sold. Were there ingredients I didn't recognize? Yes. Did it say "medicinal hot chocolate"? Yes. Did I think anything of it? Parking is obviously simple since there is entire plaza's worth of parking spots to choose from. Grab a cup, fill it up with whatever flavors and toppings your heart desires, and get it weighed at the end to receive the final price. I've got no complaints about any of the offerings; everything is what it is and I've never had anything that tasted off. Your bowl is only as delicious as your deliberate choices. The owner is very friendly and also a fellow Vietnamese resident, and his sons take over the register on his days off. Stumbled across this place had good ratings and it was open late. Walking in is very cool vibe very casual. Seems like a good day place good dessert, desserts and some adult beverage dessert drinks. Staff extremely friendly. There looks like they're having as good as time as people who were visiting, which makes it a good thing. The mixed drinks were very good too nice and sweet and not too crazy heavy on the alcohol but enjoyable and the desserts were good. Definitely worth checking out.
