The good: very cute spot, very kind employees, beautiful and creative drinks. I was visiting Hudson for a friend's birthday and this was the first stop on his bday crawl. I'm not drinking alcohol because I'm nursing my child, but the alcoholic drinks looked delicious. Since they had teas and nonalcoholic beverages - even asterisked to show which ones had caffeine - I was happy to order something, and I opted for their hot chocolate, the "Third Eye." I saw ingredients like cinnamon, cardamom, and coconut, and I was sold. Were there ingredients I didn't recognize? Yes. Did it say "medicinal hot chocolate"? Yes. Did I think anything of it? No. To me, ALL hot chocolates are medicinal. We all had our drinks and moved on to the next location. As we were walking, I felt...off, almost like I was drunk. By the time we sat down at the new spot, I said, "I feel like my head is expanding," like it was being pumped full of helium. "It's your third eye opening," someone said, I thought jokingly. "Ohhhhh yeah," said my birthday friend. "I forgot that when I went to the evergreen room when my wife was pregnant, there were a bunch of drinks they said she couldn't have because she was pregnant." So I began googling the ingredients I didn't recognize and noticed that all of them said "Avoid consuming while pregnant or nursing." Therefore, the bad: if there are ingredients that people don't know offhand are bad to consume while pregnant or nursing, they need to be indicated on the menu. If they can asterisk drinks with caffeine, they can denote this as well. I would not have ordered the hot chocolate had I known. I wasn't aware of the "hippy dippy" nature of this place, as the locals were, so it didn't even occur to me to ask. If they fix that one thing in the menu, I'd give them five stars! read more

This is a really cute cozy cafe/bar with small bites, teas, alcoholic beverages, etc. They also sell teas and some other products, and are attached to a vintage shop. I got one of the specials which was a pandan cocktail, we tried one of their iced teas, and also got a slice of lavender crepe cake (it had a bunch of other things in it too that I don't recall) and we sat outside. The drinks are creative and I wouldn't say that they were exactly our cup of tea, but they were enjoyable and I'd definitely come back to try more things. The cake was tasty and topped with a creme brulee-like top layer. We saw people with some of their grazing boards which looked promising. This seems like a nice place to chill with friends and I'd maybe try the evergreen board with some wine next time. read more

Loved the ambiance of this little shop. All the dishes come out in different types of dishware or glasses. I had the third eye with oat milk and it was just the thing to feel cozy on a gloomy rainy day. We got the evergreen board to share which had an abundance of different spreads. Everything tasted delicious and I wish there were more crackers or bread pieces because there was so much spread/jams leftover so it was quite wasteful if I'm honest. I would suggest ordering the bread and butter as well if you wanted to get more use out of the evergreen board. My favorite thing on the board was probably the warmed nuts, so delicious! The deviled eggs were different but still great! The girls are very friendly in there. It's a small team so it's not a quick turnaround so plan accordingly. It's worth it for great flavor. read more

What a cute place! Located right in the middle of downtown. Went for a bridal shower. It was beautiful. Just enough space. One side was for shopping and the new addition was the cafe. I loved the charcuterie spread. There were so many vegan and gluten free options I was shocked. The service was amazing. The Evergreen Room opened in January 2023 in Hudson, which is connected to the Crose Nest Apothecary next door. The Evergreen Room is a tea room/cocktail bar which provides a chill and cozy atmosphere with a few tables, comfortable seating in front and a couple high chairs at the small bar counter. They offer a variety of teas, cocktails, beer, wine and non-alcoholic drinks. As for the food, they offer specially curated grazing boards and plates offering breads, house made crisps, fruits, cheeses, pickled veggies, jams, yogurts, bisques, fresh greens, toasts, panna cotta, and other special items. They also offer a brunch menu on Sundays. I stopped by the Evergreen Room for a light dinner very recently. I took a seat up at the bar for prompt service. I was given filtered water and a clipboard of brown cardboard menu pages, which were a bit difficult to read with the low lighting. There was a mix of groovy classic rock music playing over the speakers. I was deciding on a Graze Board. The ideal board was The Evergreen Board which serves 2-4 people offering a spread of assorted cheeses, jams, mushroom pate, pistachio & Swiss chard pesto, pickled fruits/veggies, chef's specials, and house made sourdough bread. However, since I was solo, I went with The Sapling ($15 plus tax) which was served on a round plate and had a house-made sourdough grilled cheese sandwich dipper, cup of butternut squash bisque, small side of pickled fruits/veggies, and yogurt with honey and house-made jam. The grilled cheese sandwich was like a pressed panini of sourdough bread and plenty of melted, cut into triangles for dipping into the thick and smooth bisque. For a dessert, the Milk Tea Panna Cotta ($11 plus tax) was an excellent choice which had vanilla rooibos infused Mapleline Farm milk panna cotta, topped with Saturn tea syrup and house-made Maine blueberry jam. This dessert was very enjoyable, like having a creamy semi sweet custard topped with light syrup and blueberry jam. The check was settled on a portable digital card reader, $27.82 with tax and before tip. Overall, a great meal here. Next time, I will bring my buddy with me so we can enjoy and share The Evergreen Board and sip on some cocktails. read more
