I was so nervous going into the day of because I didn't book a trial beforehand, but Sarah went above and beyond to assure me that everything would turn out stunning. And it did! I felt so beautiful the day of and it couldn't have happened without Sarah! She has major big sister vibes and I can't recommend her enough! I would book her again in a heartbeat. I also added hair last minute because of some personal conflicts with my original hair person and Sarah was more than willing to step in as well as get me out the door within the same time frame. Our SF city hall ceremony was at 9 am so she came to my hotel room in Burlingame at 5:45 am and we were out the door by 7:45 am. Everything went so smoothly - I hope ya'll give Sarah a chance to make your special day just a little bit brighter. read more

Sarah helped me with my make up on my wedding and she was amazing! I am someone who do not usually wear make up so I was nervous that I would not look like myself with make up on. Sarah patiently listened to my concerns and shared her professional opinion. I loved her work! She was so talented, passionate, and gentle. Not only had she done a great job doing my make up, she also provided me with guidance and eased my worries about all the logistics of my wedding. She made my wedding day the best day ever! read more

Sarah is truly professional--punctual, respectful, and passionate about her craft. I was looking for a makeup/hair artist for my engagement shoot and wedding day for me, 5 bridesmaids, an officiant, and my mom. I found her through scrolling on At Romance's IG page and loved Sarah's portfolio. Her work speaks for itself. She does natural and light makeup that just enhances the models and I could not be happier with the pictures. Since my wedding party was so big, she brought in an assistant to help her out. On wedding day, we started at 7am and finished all 8 of us by 12 noon, so 5 hours total. Both Sarah and assistant were punctual and very good at what they do. They pay attention to our individual facial features and all of my girls' makeup and hair turned out so beautiful. My pictures from wedding day speak for themselves! Every one of us received touchup kits and last minute touchups and setting spray application before they left us. From booking her to wedding day, Sarah must have checked up on me a few times just to ask if I had ideas of what makeup/hairstyle I wanted. I trusted her artistry and let her do what she thought was best for my face regarding makeup. For hair, I waited until I picked out my wedding dress and she gave me some hairstyle samples of what would look good with the strapless dress that I chose. She also gave me suggestions of what hair accessories and jewelry would pair well with the dress+hairstyle combo I chose. For someone who had never gotten her makeup done, I felt really good about Sarah making these tough decisions for me. Again, very professional, arrived to our getting ready location on time and gave herself ample time to set up, and performed amazingly. Her makeup application was gentle. Both the makeup and hair held up really well through a 10 hour day. She finalized the makeup schedule about a month before the big day and shared with us instructions for what to wear/show up with dry, clean hair for our appointment. I recommend her to any bride-to-be, especially to Asian brides because she used to be a makeup artist in Hong Kong! read more

My wife and I booked Sarah for our wedding back in August. Sarah met us in our hotel to do our make up then moved to the venue to help my wife change into her dress. Sarah continued to stick around until the reception for my wife's second look. We appreciated Sarah's patience and calm presence during the busy day. We were very happy with Sarah's professionalism and willingness to help. Her makeup style isn't heavy handed and we liked the natural look she gave us. I personally appreciated Sarah giving my nervous wife emotional support. Any couple would be lucky to have Sarah for their wedding day. read more

I truely think Sarah is a very professional make-up and hair artist. Sarah has extensive knowledge on how to bring out each client's facial feature. I like to have a more natural and light make-up and she delivered it very well! During the day of my wedding, my face has slight flaw due to my skin condition, Sarah was able to cover it very well and naturally. She took every steps very detaily and did an excellent job especially on my eyeliner and eyebrow, making me looks more energetic and glamorous. Sarah also helped both my mom and mother-in-law with their make-up and hair. Both moms gave great feedbacks afterward! Sarah also provides sets of exquisite hair decorations and necklaces I can choose from, this save me a lot of times and headache. With the beautiful make-up Sarah did on my face, some of my friends who attended my ceremony already told me they will contact Sarah for their wedding day. She took her job seriously and provide great make up and hair styling services. Sarah would also communicate with me 2-3 weeks ahead of time, making sure what I like and don't like. Not only she gave me a lot of suggestions on choosing wedding gown, what hair style I should go with, and helped me look at which earrings and necklaces will match my wedding dress, but also gave advise to my husband on the color of his suit. She is very patience and attentive! read more

I was looking for a make-up artist for my San Francisco City Hall wedding in May 2022 and came across Sarah's work on Instagram. I thought her work is natural and brings out the characteristics of each client well. I contacted her for details, and the whole process was very pleasant. Sarah replied promptly, answered all my questions, and sent me reminders a week before the wedding. She was also very flexible with minor changes in the schedule. On my wedding day, Sarah arrived on time and knew exactly what she was going to do. She asked great questions to understand who I am and what I like. She also paid attention to my skin condition and asked questions about it before starting. I thought she was very thoughtful and meticulous. After she completed my makeup and hair, I felt very myself and glamorous! I thought she brought out my facial features well. She made my eyebrows look beautiful; my eyes brighter than usual; and my skin radiates and glows. I looked stunning on my wedding day, and I received many compliments! Sarah is truly amazing. I LOVE the makeup and hair soo much. I've never felt so glamorous and beautiful in my life. Sarah is organized, talented and caring. I received so many compliments, especially for having the baby breath on my hair for the first dance. I now regretted that I hasn't asked her to do my makeup for the engagement photo. Sarah also has a really great selection of accessories (both hair and necklace/earrings set). They compliment everything that I wore that day, and completed the look. Thank you for helping me to be camera-ready the whole time. On top of that, Sarah was calm and sweet, making the whole prep time so enjoyable. She also stepped in to help putting my wedding dress on when we were having troubles. Her calm and warm presence made my day so much easier and stress-free. Her knowledge and experiences in tea ceremony and wedding in general was a HUGE plus. I can never thank you enough for all she did, and I'm so lucky to find her for my wedding day. Highly recommend!! read more

Sarah is so good!! I love my makeup and hair at the wedding. As someone who doesn't do makeup normally, Sarah was so gentle and made sure I was very comfortable during the long makeup process! I wanted a natural makeup look, and Sarah did such a great job that I loved my look in all the wedding photos! She also helped me with the dress and others when we were so busy right before the wedding. What's special about her makeup service that she also has a set of accessories and earrings that I can choose from. Everything looked so cute from her collection, so I don't need to prepare anything before the makeup. Thank you Sarah! Sarah was my bridal make up artist for our pre-wedding photo shoot. She was very detail oriented with the make up and hair. The photo shooting day in San Francisco was very windy and cold in February. Surprisingly the hair and make-up last to the end of the day. I was also surprised how Sarah applied foundation that can fully cover all my dark sports. She has a great collection of hair accessories that I can borrow from her. Highly recommend Sarah to my friends and other brides. read more

Sarah is very professional and personable. She did my makeup and hair for my wedding which included a tea ceremony and a garden ceremony. She was able to create a hairstyle that could change from all up (for the kua) to half up (for the wedding gown). One of my bridesmaids helped with the conversion and we were able to consult Sarah by video chat when we were uncertain about how to convert it. Everything turned out great! The makeup lasted through both ceremonies! In addition, she did hair and make up for my mother and future mother-in-law. I highly recommend her makeup and hair services for weddings! read more

Sarah is an amazing MUA! My original MUA had a personal emergency and had to cancel last minute so my wedding planner introduced me to Sarah. I worked with Sarah for both pre-wedding shoot and wedding day. Since I was in a rush, I didn't even have a makeup trial but her work exceeded my expectations.
