Stuffed grape leaves with arils - Egyptian style, I believe
    Brien M.

We had great service and delicious Mediterranean dishes. We understand the selections are a fusion of Egyptian and Lebanese. The ambiance is simple but nice. It's small so we were smart to have a reservation. There was a selection of interesting cocktails, wine, beer, sodas, Saratoga Water, and cider. Sadly, there were no gluten free desserts but otherwise, they're really good at dealing with celiac needs. We had a lovely evening.

A great meal with great service and a good glass of wine. What's not to like?! Unique for the area.

Outstanding. Among the best Middle Eastern meals I've ever had! We got the Mezze platter to share (must-order!), plus small plates individually tabbouleh salad, Egyptian falafel, and halloumi. Every bite was fresh, original, flavorful! I wanted to start all over and eat this every day, it was that good! Also try the limonana, amazing!! We bung out talking with beautiful charming Sarah, and suddenly she brings out a beautiful plate of Baklawa. Amazing!! 5/5 across the board: location, atmosphere, food, service. Must support and enjoy this classic small town high quality restaurant!! Highest recommendation!

Enjoyed a quick bite to eat and got a few small apps to go. Beautifully decorated, friendly staff and quick lunch service. Looking forward to going back to dinner to try an entree.

Excellent Food. Obviously made with LOVE

Trying to be objective and some less then a positive review. I can't. We walked around for about 30 min trying to find a place to eat. Looked at menus and even set down in one place and left. We are in Saratoga and we want excellent food and maybe something different. Then we see Sara's Place. Definitely different from the type of restaurants we are used to visiting. The look, the smell and the look on the patrons faces made it easy to be seated by Sara. Sara is personable, friendly and took the time explaining the dishes and answer any questions. We ordered a few things and if I say it was great, it would be an understatement. All of the food was fantastic. Talked about it a few times on our 5 hr drive home and told family and friends. We will be back in Saatoga again and we will be eating at Sara's Kitchen. Just wish we were closer. Would be my regular place. I think everyone should experience eating at Sara's.

Not your routine gyro place! Sara's chicken shawarma stands apart with a warm-spice flavor profile and interesting ingredients including crispy potato bits and a mysterious middle-eastern pickle. Tabbouleh had pomegranate seeds (vs tomato, which is also available) and a touch of honey. I had tried other Sara's products at the home a friend who is a big fan and everything is equally good and out of the ordinary. The little shop on Broadway is almost done with its growing pains (the customer in front of me had a problem with her order, but mine was ready as requested in two minutes) and is a beautiful place to dine in with inviting green cushions and a gentle soundtrack. I will be back for sure.

Visiting Saratoga Springs from NYC and stopped by Sara's for a late, last minute dinner. We love middle eastern food and were excited to try this. Firstly, we were seated without a reservation. The ambiance is relaxing and it was clear the owner strives to create an environment where you feel like you're eating in someone's home, which we appreciated. I had a beer and he had a mint tea -- both lovely. I recommend the mezze spread as a starter, particularly if middle eastern cuisine is new to you, so you can try a sampling of dips. Standing ovation for the muhammra and hummus. Seriously was some of the best hummus I've ever had. My ONLY critique of the meal is I think we needed two more pieces of pita. We ran out pretty quickly and still had more dip to eat! We split a shish tawok entree. The chicken was perfect and vegetables perfectly charred. I may pick up some rice and hummus to bring home with us at the end of our weekend haha. We took some Turkish coffee and baklava to go and we left "fat and happy." Thank you Sara! We will be back!

Service and ambiance was very pleasant even though we only picked up the food. My wife and I moved up from Queens a little less than a year ago and were dying for some good Mediterranean food. I understand that we come from a place with higher cost but this is just sad. 47 dollars for small portions and bland meat.

Best restaurant experience I've had in a while. Went around 2pm lunch time with my family of 6 people and were seated immediately. Atmosphere is very comfortable and calming. The owner, Sara, came over to our table and introduced herself and her story. Very kind and personable. We enjoyed our conversations with her as much as we enjoyed our food. With food this delicious, she is truly successful as a restauranteur. For our meal we ordered the kofta kebab, the stuffed grape leaves, 2 orders of the baba ganoush, 2 orders of hummus, and 2 orders of tabbouleh salad with fresh pita bread and delicious pita chips. For our drinks, we ordered limonnana and iced hibiscus tea. Everything was delicious and seasoned to perfection. As an Armenian, I have been served tabbouleh and baba ganoush for years without particularly liking either of them. One visit at Sara's Kitchen changed that and I could not get enough of either! Super fresh and addictively delicious. Halloumi and baklawa were given to us on the house as well. It's a shame we live in the boroughs and not in Saratoga springs or else this would be a regular spot for us. Will definitely be checking in when in the area! A must visit for sure!

We frequented this place over the past two weeks while taking care of a family member in their final stages of life. Pita and Olive became our family's go-to spot for comfort food. We all ordered various plates from kebabs, falafal, beef and lamb pitas, chicken bowl, and sides of their delicious rice. While running errands a few days ago I actually stopped in JUST to pick up a side of rice and a small cup of their creamy dill sauce (which tastes amazing on everything). Fresh ingredients that are seasoned beautifully and plates that are crafted to satisfy and bring happiness to your tummy and your heart. I want to thank Pita and Olive for providing us with nourishment during some pretty chaotic and sad times.

The addition of the coffee bar/cafe menu has only further endeared me to the place. Just like their food, many of the components of the coffee menu are scratch made, including the milks. They make a pistachio, almond, and oat milk all in house. There may be more too, but those three I know for certain. The attention to detail is also impressive, such as the presentation of each beverage. The cups the drinks are served in aren't just pretty, but also sturdy. Which as a clumsy person, I appreciate. Harder for me to spill. Ha! Something to keep in mind about the cafe menu is that since everything is mainly scratch made or ordered special (their Matcha is from Japan) they will be out of things at times. But there's nothing bad on the menu so I humbly suggest going in with an open mind. The lack of one item being available has caused me to try others, and I haven't disliked anything! I hope they continue to do well and are in the area for a long time to come.

What a gem located near me on Upper Union Street in Schenectady. First time to visit!…read more Ordered: Chicken Chapli with Pita instead of fries (choice) Chicken and Lamb platter with Pita Swarma Wrap Received generous portions of flavorful Mediterranean food. The Chicken and Lamb were moist and tender. I am not a lamb lover, but this lamb could change my mind. The rice was spiced mildly and tasted great with the meats. The pita was cut into small pieces, but I would have preferred a whole or half pita. I will ask next time. The owner supplied me with three different sauces on the side to try ranging from mild to spicy (green one). The Chicken Chapli was a cut up well seasoned chicken patty. A few meat combinations are available. (See pic of Menu) The Swarma Wrap was moist and a little messy to eat since I sliced it into two portions. It had a medium spiced sauce and small salad pieces such as cucumber. Not my favorite. The owner was friendly and thanked me for my business. He said they cater for as few as ten people if interested. I commented on the long hours they are open (10 am to 1:15 am), and he responded with a smile, "We're from the City." There are several tables to dine in if wanted. Lots of natural light from the large front windows makes the place inviting. The pick up counter with kitchen behind it is beyond the tables. The walls are decorated nicely, and the place screamed CLEAN. Parking is in front, and the restaurant is easy to access. There are no steps to enter. I look forward to ordering again soon, especially when family visits. Quality, healthy well prepared food to enjoy at home. Please check out my photos to get a sense of the experience.
