Burnt Hills Cafe is a neighborhood landmark in our beautiful tiny hamlet. I have been here many times. The food is very good for a diner and I have never been disappointed. My favorite items are the french toast and the various omelette selections. The servers have always been kind and efficient. This place really makes you feel cozy like you're part of the community. I love that!

Fantastic middle of nowhere all-day breakfast Diner. The way it always was and should be! The staff are the greatest. The food took like 3 mins. to get to my table. Coffee refills delicious and really fragrant. Texas burger's really, really good and so were the sides. Burnt Hills Cafe has the total 'old school flair' going for it. The mix of folks was young and old. A few groups were just some friends kicking it. It was really delicious. The food is a top-tier 5 star. Burnt Hills Cafe specializes in breakfast dishes - but my lunch here was just as tasty and hot! The bar area is short and jammed so be ready to sit at tables, like back in the day. Review: 5+

So here's the story ... it's winter break ... me and the kids and their friends went ice skating ... mom met us at the end and we decided to take everyone to lunch. And my oldest picked this joint. Full disclosure I've been here before but I let him think it was a new place. He was excited and I didn't lie I just didn't call attention to it. Service was really good. Quick attentive and courteous with that old school diner vibe. You know a bit pushy kind of in a rush calls everybody sweety or hun or darling. Total NY vibes. The food was good. Huge menu. Tons of specials. Really good soup I had manhattan clam chowder. Portions were big. They gave everyone fries and we didn't order them so that's what's up. Only negative was my boy who picked is a vegetarian and other than breakfast there wasn't much for him. He was bummed but he made it through. Price was good too there was 7 of us and we all ate and drank and tipped over 20% and we got outta there at $115 all in. Plus it was super quick. Like 5 minutes to order and another 10 and all of the food was on the table. Pretty crazy because the place was full too. We'll go back just won't bring the vegetarian lol.

It was a last resort for breakfast... so disappointing, this could definitely use some remodeling... The menu is you standard typical American diner items eggs toast home fries waffles and pancakes. We had veggie omelette, Greek omelette.. honestly both were the same...Waffles and pancakes .. everything was so below average. Given a choice to skip breakfast or eat here... I'd skip. And that mostly had to do with the cleanliness of place. Sorry was not for me!

Their Greek pizza is great, it has artichoke hearts, broccoli, garlic on I think, onions, Kalamata, olives, mozzarella cheese, and sliced feta cheese. I usually tell them to go late and the cheese because they do do it very heavy, but it's to die for. For an appetizer I usually get the dolmades. They are great beliefs, stuffed with lamb and rice and dill seasoning and they give you a tzatziki sauce on the side delicious.. they do have chicken, Parm dishes and chicken, marsala and other pasta and seafood dishes too. It's not all Greek and their soups are wonderful.. The service could be a little better. They need to work on that. It takes time for them to get to you, but I can't complain about the food at all. I've never had a bad dish there and all the servers I had were very personable. I think they could use some updating inside the building, but if you want some pretty decent Greek food that's the place to go and very inexpensive and large portions.

I understand on a holiday it can be busier. our issue wasn't with the wait, despite our section not being busy. our issue was no one checked on us and said we are running a bit behind we will be right with you. our issue was the hostess knowing who our server was and what area we were seated based on me complaining she never came over. she called her "messy" and asked what i wanted her to do. lastly when i spoke to the owner he apologized after we sat in his establishment for an hour hungry and didn't offer to feed us. It seems as though they know they have an issue with this waitstaff and won't address it. We had a reservation and would not have minded a wait that was not the issue. My husband said i wasn't rude when I asked for an apology. After our waitress took our drink orders she asked if we were ready to order food. we said yes and she stood there looking at us for a minute before disappearing for another 5-10 minutes without saying anything to us and without taking our food orders. our drive was a 20-30 minute drive to this establishment. All we expected was to eat. The owner apologized but never offered to feed us or rectify the situation. if you enjoy poor service grecian's is for y

Heads up that they are CASH ONLY. I ordered the Chicken Shishkabob Plate, which came with chicken skewers, lemon potatoes, Pita, and tzatziki. Everything on the plate was delicious, and the chicken was nice and juicy. It also came with a Greek salad, which is one of my all-time favorites. Most places make it the American way with lettuce, but after visiting Greece, I realized it doesn't have any lettuce. It's cucumbers, tomatoes, red onion, olive, and Feta. In the summer, it's especially good because it's light and refreshing. My boyfriend ordered the lamb Gyro, and it was cooked perfectly. Such a delicious meal! We also had a great conversation with one of the staff members, who was so welcoming and appreciative of our business. I highly recommend The Greek House!

Even with our high expectations, Phos definitely didn't disappoint. The space is beautiful and the staff were so kind and attentive (a few of them came over from Gaskins as well!). We kicked things off with a round of cocktails and appetizers, and the Voyager was one of our favorites from the drink menu. I also tried the Elysium martini, which as promised was super strong, but it was probably the only thing I tried during my entire visit that I wouldn't order again. I would have liked a little more of the olive brine and lemon verbena flavors to come through, most sips really just tasted like vodka. The meal only got better and better from there, though! We ordered a couple of the Mezze spreads with pita, the beets, and the roasted parsnips to start. Everything was delicious but the parsnips were an absolute home run, everyone at the table was blown away by how flavorful such a simple veggie could be. For entrees, some of the favorites at the table were the Phos Gyro, Sea Scallops, and the Swordfish special. You can really tell everything is farm-to-table, it's all so fresh and flavorful. The greens, which the server noted were watercress, looked completely unique and locally sourced. Also ordered a Mr. Midnight, their take on an espresso martini, and it was divine. Indeed, upon entering a new restaurant, we ask ourselves: Is it managed by The Wicked? Will they gnash upon us with their teeth? We choose to still take the risk. Will we will be gnashed to tiny pieces, or will we feast upon the fine goods of the earth? So, of course, this was the concern to be had top of mind upon entering Fo'Castle Farm and proceeding into the depths of Lunch Thyme. Indeed! Lunch Thyme is somewhat within the bowels, or--we might say--the entrails of Fo'Castle Farm, which is not to say that it is walled in and airless like a prison cell. The guest finds an open and welcoming space, a thick leather couch, many screened windows, and the vast smile plastered upon the face of the owner(s). Lunch Thyme welcomes its visitors into its warm and breezy arms. It offers a small but finely chosen selection of items. Quiche lovers, sandwich lovers, salad lovers, and soup lovers alike will find solace in the menu at Lunch Thyme. One can sample a roast beef sandwich on a tender ciabatta roll, a salad with roasted beets, or several juicy and meaty balls on a bread as if it were taken from Italy itself. And the prices. The prices, it may be said, are reasonable for the area: not a bargain per se, but nor does Lunch Thyme greedily tear away visitors' wallets to gorge itself upon their contents. In short, it is reasonable. That is it. That is it indeed. In a word, Lunch Thyme is reasonable.
