Today was our anniversary and we wanted to try a place we hadn't been before. Sapporo is new to Yukon, and close to home, so we tried it. Glad we did! I immediately liked the atmosphere. Small, Cozy, low lights. Our booth had high seat-backs, which I really like because it's more private (They have tables too).We were there from about 6-7 pm on a Wednesday evening. It was moderately busy, no wait time. We ordered an appetizer (crab rangoons, yum) and both ordered drinks. I think mine was called the Rum Jungle -- very fruity with 2 types of rum. My husband had the Cherry Sake-tini. Both very good. Instead of sushi we ordered from the hibachi menu. I had the chicken-filet mignon combo, hubby had the steak-scallops combo. Both came with a small salad and clear soup served as appetizers, then the entree came with stir-fry vegs (carrots, broc, zucchini, mushrooms, onion), fried rice, and a couple fried shrimp. It was all delicious. Chicken was good, steak was tender, scallops were cooked just right. We were both very pleased with the food and the service. Overall we spent $80 including tip. BTW they do have a kids' menu, although it doesn't seem like a usual place to take kids. I would definitely recommend this place. Great for date-night: small, quiet, cozy, classy. read more

I got a meal for take home. Hibachi Shrimp, fried rice, grilled veggies, and clear soup. The staff was very nice and greeted me immediately. The veggies were very soggy, fried rice didn't have much flavor to it, shrimp needed more flavor and the clear soup was more like beef broth. This is normally my favorite meal to get from other Japanese restaurants but I don't think I'll be going back to this one, especially for how much I paid to get it. read more

My family and I have been looking for a good hibachi place in Yukon so we tried Sapporo a couple of weeks ago and tried the hibachi lunch. You can skip the whole pomp and circumstance of the show and just order the food. The restaurant was clean and waitress was very kind and attentive. We ordered crab Rangoon as appetizer and it was sweet just like I like it. We all had hibachi and between steak, chicken and shrimp, it was all very tasty with the fried rice and stir fry vegetables and dipping sauce. Will definitely be back again! read more

This is not your typical "hibachi" so don't go there thinking you will get the chef/show and huge portions like you do at the other actual "hibachi" restaurants BUT you will however be charged the same price (if not more) for no show, sub par waitressing, and probably the worst hibachi I've ever had, I never leave a restaurant without either a clean plate or a take home box (especially at these prices) and my hubby and I both left almost full plates sitting on that table! read more

We dined here last night, my husband and daughter. We got seated right away and that was the extent of the good service. My husband my have gotten one drink refill. The sushi was gross. I thought there was no avocado on the rolls we ordered. Turns out it was yellow. We've ordered three rolls before for four of us and we full. This time we ordered four for three of us and an appetizer and it was barely enough. I never did get my soup. The waitress acted surprised like someone else must have screwed up but she was the one bringing us the food. No apologies. My husband thinks she just thought we wouldn't tip well, so she gave subpar service. I'll go to the other sushi place in Yukon from now on. read more

We are very picky about our food. I ordered a custom sushi roll and it was phenomenal. They did exactly what we asked. The rice was so tasty and my husband's steak was perfectly rare. We cannot wait to go back and try more. Our service was great too! read more

The atmosphere was very nice!!! The food not so much! My family of four purchased 9 different rolls, mostly from the special rolls side, cost 120.00 total!?!?! I don't mind spending money on good food but this was not the case!! The lucky roll with steak on top tasked funny, and all of the rolls were just smothered in sauce which after eating a little bit makes me think they are masking the not so fresh taste of the sashimi or eel involved! So I ate here last night, the food was really good but the service not so much. My lady and I ordered an appetizer and drinks first. About ten minutes later we ordered some sushi rolls. The sushi came out before the appetizer or the drinks. I asked where our drinks were and they said they didn't know. The drinks weren't that great I got a strawberry palmer, it did not taste anything like the description in the drink menu. When it was time to get the bill I had to eventually get up and find the waiter because he kept avoiding us so it was impossible to get his attention otherwise. Food was really good though, we might go back but only if we aren't on a schedule because the service seems really slow and not very good at multitasking. I also wouldn't recommend any drinks here, food and nonalcoholic drinks is where I would stay with. Hopefully it gets better. read more

You can taste the freshness in their food whether it's the hibachi kids chicken or the sushi rolls. The service was quick, seated right as we walked in and the waitress we had was not overbearing in taking our order. We asked for more time and she waited for us to let her we were ready. The food didn't take long at all to come out and tasted great. Only problem we had was having to ask for drink refills but it could have been I was asking before our waitress could grab it to refill. I have eaten here several more times since my initial review, and wanted to update my rating to offset some of the ridiculous 1-star reviews (mainly "Chloe", who seems to not understand anything about sushi prices). I have never had a bad meal here in over a dozen visits. Is it NYC or Hong Kong quality omakase? (which I've had) Of course not. This was literally the most disgusting meal I have ever ordered in my life. I ordered tuna sashimi. Instead I got 2 pieces of what looked like sardine nigiri. There was a whole fish on q bed of rice. Please tell me how that is raw tuna with no rice?! Then I ordered 2 different tuna dishes. One was pepper tuna and the other was some other form of raw tuna. Both of then tasted like they had been sitting out for weeks. Later I went back to my hotel room and threw up repeatedly for hours. Bad food, bad service, small portions. The trifecta of "I won't be back to this restaurant". Wife got teriyaki chicken. Chicken was cooked with absolutely no seasoning and then teriyaki sauce was poured on top of it after it was plated. I got sushi. Let's just say I couldn't finish it and I love sushi. I can't believe that this place has 4 stars with 13 reviews (at the time of my review). Either these people that rated this place high have never been to a good hibachi/sushi place or they have no taste buds and the appetite of an adolescent finch. There were only a few tables seated when we went and there were 2 waitresses so there was no excuse for bad service. We sat for a long time before our order was even taken. Our glasses sat empty from before our food came out until we were finished with what we could choke down before we tapped out. Only when we were ready to leave did we get offered a refill on our beverages and that was after the other waitress pointed out to our waitress that we didn't have anything to drink. We tried this place as our other choice for dinner was closed for memorial day. The pros: the servers were very friendly, gracious and attentive, the place was clean and pleasant. The cons: the "sushi"- it's the only thing we ordered and we are experienced in sushi. We ordered two raw rolls, one being a special on their board at $13.95. Both were disappointing, bland and tasteless. We concluded this is due to the use of something they call "crunchy" which seems to be some kind of Panko shreddings, basically breadcrumbs in and on top of the rolls. Even the spicy tuna on top of the roll was a mix of tuna and Panko which I couldn't even eat. When I mentioned this to our waitress she did say they are happy to special order any roll and that we could order it without this. One roll came with a nice mango sauce which provided some flavor. We did see other warm entree dishes come by that looked good with lots of veggies so if you go here that might be a better choice. read more

Went this weekend (2/4/17). Restaurant is new and evidently not ready to open, Wait and kitchen staff overwhelmed. The sushi (Big Boss and Spicy Cowboy rolls) was good, large and priced right, the hibachi chicken we received was under-cooked and for $14.95 it is not a lot of food even though it comes with a salad and soup (it lists on menu it comes with a shrimp appetizer, we never received so that might make the price better). Biggest issue was food came out at random times, i.e. we received Edamame after we received all other food. Hibachi entrees list on the menu coming with a shrimp appetizer, we didn't receive one, We also never received water, only the hot tea ordered. When leaving it appeared other customers having the same issues and everyone seemed to be having an issue with their bill. Maybe once they get up to speed it will be better, going to be a long time before we return. read more
