There is a variety of toppings to chose from; Nutella, dulce de leche, guava, fruity pebbles and even Oreo!! The ice cream flavors are to die for. My favorite is the coffee flavored ice cream topped with a shot of colada (Cuban coffee) syrup! It is sweet and you can really taste that coffee essence. My husband had the dulce de leche churro, and they all come in a halo shape. I love that they are different from your regular churro, super original! Overall I highly recommend this food truck, the service was quick and the staff was very welcoming and patient when we were trying to decide what to get since there were soo many options to choose from. We got to try them at the food truck event they usually have at Tropical Park every Friday, such a nice location to have all these food trucks to chose from. The halos are mini churro circles with super fun flavors. We got the guava cheese, nutella, and fruity pebble flavors. You can get 3 different flavors for 6 halos. They were fried to perfection, and each bite was so crunchy and delicious. I liked the nutella flavor the best, but their guava cheese flavor was "award winning" (idk what award tbh). It was a bit on the savory side, so it wasn't my favorite. The fruity pebbles flavor was good too. Honestly all the flavors are probably tasty since the halo base itself is the best churro I've ever had. The passion fruit lemonade was refreshing but mid. The best churros in town!!! I love how this Santo Dulce food truck travels all around town! This time, they traveled all the way to Pembroke Pines and bring the goods. They are usually around the Pines City Center like by the neighborhood entrance when they announce that they are coming to town. I always get their Santo Sundae since it comes with ice cream! I have tried the Santa Teresa Con Fresca which has strawberries purée and fresh strawberries! Also, try their Santo de Leches and Santa Crema 1951 since it has the Ferraro Rocher chocolate. The line does get long as there's also another food truck that sells food. So come early and don't forget to social distance! read more

So I've been eyeing this food truck for a little while now and waiting for its return to Pembroke Pines, I came across it on an Instagram ad, and when I saw that they were at "City Center on 7th" we went over right away, however with the very limited parking, and the ridiculously long lines, we decided that we would just have to wait for another time. Last night was that time! After following them on Instagram @santodulcechurros, I saw that they posted their weekly whereabouts, and since we were in the area and it was still early, we figured we could get there before the lines got long. We were lucky enough to get a parking spot, and there was no one in line around 5:40pm on a Friday. They offer 3 main choices in a variety of options, the "Halo" (Churro in a Halo Shape), "Sundae" (Halo over Ice Cream), and "Sinful Sampler" (the sampler box with smaller churros that come in 6 or 9 counts. Luckily, I was able to check in on the Yelp App and got me a free Halo with Cinnamon Sugar. However, since I think we were out of their regular Food Truck zone, my wife had trouble checking in. We proceeded to order sundaes: - Sundae: Halo with Dulce de Leche and Coconut along with the Santo De Leches Ice cream (Dulce de Leche Drizzle, Cookie Crumbles, Condensed Milk, Cake) - Sundae: Halo with Chocolate, Nuts and Sea Salt along with the Cookies N' Cream Ice cream (chocolate drizzle and Oreo cookies) We also ordered a Sinful 6 Sampler - Even though you get 6 churros, you get three choices, so we went with the Nutella and Almonds, the Maple and Bacon and the Fruity Pebbles. They also threw in an extra Cinnamon Sugar one too! Somehow came across their Instagram page and was instantly intrigued. I'm not even a "lover" of churros but as soon as I saw a picture of their rainbow sprinkled churro with vanilla ice cream I knew I HAD TO TRY ONE. I followed them on Instagram and saw that they post their weekly "tour dates" which is awesome and convenient. I was finally able to visit them last night in down town Fort Lauderdale. There was ample parking where they had their truck. They are cashless so they use an iPad to process all payments. For the negative review regarding no hand sanitizer, that is now readily available. I ordered the sprinkled churro with vanilla ice cream and sprinkles. You won't find plain vanilla ice cream on the menu but they do have it. The churro was absolutely delicious! And he was so excited to see the truck. Tonight, the line was long as usual. But, it's definitely worth noting that the truck had 4 people inside working so and so just when I thought we would be there all night, they were popping orders out in no time. This time, we ordered one of the halos with the cookies and cream ice cream for my son and I ordered some minis. And as I mentioned from my previous review, eating the churros right off the truck is the best thing. The churros were still hot and crispy throughout and not doughy. It was just sooo delicious! And the ice cream was so creamy and had so many huge chunks of oreo cookies in it that my son inhaled that first even before the churros! Their presentation is also insta-worthy and appetizing. They paid attention to every details...I just love the simplicity of their brown box packaging, their cute truck and the special spoon for their ice cream that changes color. I am so glad that we came back to give this place another chance. Definitely come hungry, bring your friends/family...have a little party right there at the gas station (but do exercise some courtesy and park at the parking and not at the pump) and try everything and consume the churros on site because the churros do not travel well and you will miss out on the yummy and crispy goodness. read more

Yesterday, my boss treated us to Santo Dulce Churros at work. I have to say they were absolutely delicious! I was skeptical at first as I had just gotten back from a trip to Mexico, the country of churros and my expectations were not high, but to my surprise, these churros were devine. They had the right amount of sugar, soft on the inside and perfectly crunchy on the outside, and most importantly not too oily. I had the Dulce de Leche one, but they have a chocolate and a cookies n' cream as well. All equally tasty. These delicacies are served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream which adds to the deliciousness of these perfect churros. Mexico, you've got competition! I highly recommend Santo Dulce. However they recommend to join loyalty program yet they don't accept it at the food truck location on 30th and Biscayne. There's a flyer to join loyalty program and get $5 off the first purchase through the app but good trucks do not apply. Secondly there is an option on the app to scan for the loyalty card but it does not apply for the food truck location. So unless you are near the business like south Miami, you do not get to participate in the program even if you do visit the food truck frequently. read more
