Dulce de leche, coconut alfajor (Inst: @restospoiler)

I really love this ice cream, not just for the flavor but for the experience. Enjoying your ice cream in the charming surroundings of Buena Vista, paired with a coffee from Finca's, is the perfect way to spend time alone or with loved ones. My ultimate favorite flavors are dulce de leche with chocolate chunks, coconut alfajor, and Ferrero Rocher. With such a wide variety, you'll definitely find a flavor you love. They also have a bunch of house-made toppings, but I never use them because the ice cream itself is perfect. The prices are a bit high--around $10 for two scoops--but as I said, it's more than just ice cream, it's the whole experience that makes it worth it.

YUMMY! Service - 5 Flavors - 5 Ambiance - 5 Service - 5 Price-to-quality ratio - 5 Peek a Treat ice creams in Upper Buena Vista is the coolest ice cream truck you'll come across. Their truck is beautifully decorated and just stands out on your way into Upper Buena Vista, drawing everyone in. The ice cream is nothing short of exceptional with a creamy texture and vibrant flavors. I'm a huge fan of the guava cream cheese flavor--it's absolutely my favorite, blending tangy and sweet perfectly in every scoop. The service is fantastic too. The staff are friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome, turning a quick stop into a real treat. Whether you're in the mood for a midday pick-me-up or a sweet indulgence on a warm day, Peek a Treat delivers every time. Every visit leaves me eagerly anticipating the next delicious experience. Absolutely unforgettable.

Peak a treat More than a treat it is a spoil you will give to your mouth So many delicious flavors to pick from that's the only problem with this pop shop Personal favorites: 1. Miami Mix Pavlova . 2. Baklava/ Pistachio with Caramel Pistachio3. Cheesecake Almond Guava, but to be honest I tried all of them and they are all superb . Don't miss the hazelnut Ferrero ! And the Coconut Almond Alfajor Ambiance n Service: The special topping is that they are being prepared by the best of the best, Laura and Juan Pablo ! Setting up the sweet escape you always imagined

Yummy sweet treat perfect for a date night out! -- every order comes with a chocolate disk plopped on top and it adds an extra bite. Staff are sweet and accommodating, allowing you to sample flavors before committing.

Juan Pablo was amazing and gave us the best service !! We ended up going with pavlova and dulce de leche ! The scoops were a good size and you could taste how fresh the ice cream was. Will be going back!

Phenomenal gelato. The kind you'd drive a long distance to and the location is great. Pistachio is top notch, no artificial colors

Exceptionally friendly ice cream food truck entrepreneur. Good selection of tasty vegan sorbets as well as regular ice cream. He also had some baked bites as captured in my photo (menu). Peek A Treat was also quite proud of their vegan and gluten free ice cream cone. I left with the passion fruit mango sorbet, which reminded me of a childhood drink of mine. My friend got a strawberry one. There were some uniquer and rotational flavors as well. The vendor seemed to be having a good flow of customers. It's a truck located sort of off center in the upper buena vista area. It's fine to show up whatever you're style is and you can find seating around the common area.

Delicious. Delightful! Flavorful. Creative! Perfect! My husband took me here after a dinner date. The ambience is perfect, the flavors are on point and it's so adorable.

Alfajor Dulce de Leche (excuse the crappy photo it looks so much yummier irl)

The dulce de luche is to die for here. I was so full after the Turkish restaurant but the owner sold me with the ice cream sample. I got the dulce de leche alfajor dipped in chocolate & nuts. Not to mention theres dulce de leche stuffed inside the ice cream. It's perfect bc its not too sweet. I'm extremely stuffed but that was mf worth it.

While I do appreciate that they say you can ask for the fee to be waived I feel that puts the customer in an extremely uncomfortable position to ask the server (whose healthcare cost you would be helping) to remove. Also, while I think it is nice for the employees and I do support everyone having access to affordable healthcare, we quite literally had three people at our dinner table who didn't have healthcare so the juxtaposition was really strange. I think that this should be an added question to the check on the tablet when you go to pay such as "would you like to add a X% charge to help our employees pay for healthcare" and should absolutely not be an automatic added fee to the check due to the discomfort it puts the customers in. Before I wrote this review I wanted to see if maybe I was alone in thinking this was strange so I texted about ten people and every individual agreed it was. Food wise, they have some great options on the menu! The peaches and burrata was the star of the show it was so delicious. The rodeo Za is definitely pretty fishy so if that isn't up your alley I wouldn't recommend. Also wouldn't recommend the lasagna. The watermelon matcha lemonade was so good!

That said, several things impacted my experience. It was very hot inside and packed with people, which makes it nearly impossible for the staff to provide good service. The exhaust/ventilation system doesn't seem sufficient for how busy the space gets, so you end up leaving with your hair and clothes smelling like food. The terrace looks lovely, but with Miami heat (easily 90°F), sitting outside isn't really a comfortable option. Lastly, most of the seating is uncomfortable, which doesn't help when the atmosphere is already overwhelming. Sorry, this is a place that I won't go back.

I will say that I was a little confused when I arrived because I wasn't expecting it to be a food truck. turns out they used to have another brick-and-mortar location, but the building got bought and they had to vacate head, so they're currently one of the food trucks in a little food truck park. The food truck area has good vibes, though very limited parking! (I walked from down the street a block.) The staff of Nude Pita are SO nice. The owner actually took my order that day, and we chatted while my food was being made since there was nobody else in line at the time. The fresh pita with tzatziki on the side just brought everything together perfectly. But honestly, the side salad stole the show for me. With cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, onions, and a few olives tossed in a delicious dressing, everything complemented each other so well. I also had the zucchini falafel with hummus -- crispy and crunchy on the outside, while the inside stayed moist and firm. The hummus was smooth, creamy, and topped with olive oil... chef's kiss To top it off, I tried both the double smashburger and the vegan smashburger. Both were so good, but the vegan one with mushrooms and truffle sauce really stood out. The chef and staff were incredibly kind and attentive, and the food came out hot and fresh every time.
