The food and entertainment were spot on. Our group ended up with pizza and wings. I expected it to be average food you receive at these type of places. But it was way better. The bar selection is quite full as well, with all types of wine, beer, and cocktails. We ended up doing axe throwing (a great stress reliever) and playing a lot of the games. This place has the system where your winning points are stored to a card, like Dave and Busters, and one guy in our group had a good 10,000 points on it. Some of the points were from an awesome victory of knocking over a coin tower on that game that takes more patience than I have to get all the coins at the edge. Sadly, he left his card behind on accident, which ended up getting stolen. The great news is the staff handled it quickly. They were able to transfer his points to another card before it was used and gave him free movie and food vouchers. What outstanding customer service! I will have to return for some bowling, and it looks like they have virtual reality activities as well. The prices seem pretty reasonable compared to several of the competitors. I would not recommend working at this location or for this company. They do not appear to take workplace harassment seriously. A friend of mine briefly worked here and experienced harassment almost immediately from another employee. It spread around the entire work place. The employee went to HR first to make complaints about workplace gossip that they had started. To my knowledge, they faced no consequences for their actions. HR was supposed to contact my friend and they told me they were never contacted or had the situation resolved properly. Meanwhile, my friend was sent home multiple times simply because they were scheduled to work at the same time as the other employee. Rather than holding the person responsible accountable, it seemed like my friend was the one being penalized. Eventually, they stopped scheduling my friend altogether without any clear communication. If an employee is being terminated, they should at least be informed instead of being left wondering why they are no longer receiving shifts. It's very concerning to me that employee who allegedly caused the issues remains employed while my friend was effectively pushed out. read more

At first, our family absolutely loved this place, until we had a rude encounter with an employee who got up in arms over a water bottle. For reference, our family has allergy problems and dietary restrictions, so often we bring our own bottles of room temp water, and a small bag of popcorn from the store that we put in our bag. Nothing crazy at all. The employee was so rude, I was trying to explain our specific needs of not being able to have cold water and not being able to have buttered popcorn, and she literally cut me off and said "I don't really care" while waving her hand, motioning to get us out of her face. Never in my life, especially on this side of town. I was so shocked, but I kept my composure and walked away to enjoy the movie with our kiddos. But what a disgusting and disrespectful way to behave, especially over something so trivial as a water bottle. And ironically, no other employees had a problem with it. So it was just her trying to be disrespectful for no reason. Such a disappointment. I hope one day that poor girl grows up and learns how to talk to people properly. And I hope they're checking bags for weapons as frequently as they're harassing people over bottles of water. read more

You know a place is going downhill when they start searching your purse and questioning every personal item you bring. Be prepared to carry only the bare minimum, as items like bottled water, candy, gum, and other everyday belongings may be confiscated or you'll be asked to throw them away. I visited this location on June 5th. Upon entering my bag was thoroughly checked at the first checkpoint using a drumstick to poke around through the bag. I proceeded to the concession stand to purchase snacks and beverages and then to the theater entrance. At this point, they asked to check my bag a SECOND time. So, balancing my popcorn and beverage, I had to unzip my purse again for another bag check. At this check, the teenager barely glanced in the bag. I was quite annoyed at this inconvenience and cursory second check. My issue is that the bag checks seemed haphazard, not consistent (every bag, every time), nor thorough ( the teenager at the second check was bored and going through the motions). I've since been in contact with Santikos Guest Services as well as the manager at the Cibolo location. Guest Services shared that it is corporate policy to check all bags upon entry, but the second bag check is location-specific and not part of the whole corporate policy. The manager at that location stated that they need to recheck bags because all the doors into the theater do not have checkpoints - the bar area, for example, does not have a checkpoint at that door. She shared that they will be setting up a checkpoint there at some time in the future. At this point, however, there is not one there, so were you to enter through that door and not go to the theater, but rather the arcade or bowling, you would not have your bag checked at all. This is a HUGE safety risk if that is their true intention. If this were truly a safety concern, and they ARE aware of the unchecked door, then I have a serious issue with them keeping their patrons safe. If this is more to protect their bottom line of not bringing your own outside snacks, etc. in, then I am greatly disappointed in their customer service. Either way, I won't be returning to this location after the poor customer service. A night at the movies has become too expensive to deal with these issues. I will gladly drive elsewhere to have a better experience, and I suggest you do the same. read more

I visited on 5/29/26 and was surprised to see several bats flying around inside the building, including inside the theater room during a movie showing. The staff refunded our tickets and food purchases, but only after we requested it. What was most concerning was learning that the theater was already aware of the issue and chose to remain open anyway, continuing to sell tickets and food despite the presence of bats. This raises serious questions about cleanliness, health standards, and customer safety, especially given that bats can carry diseases transmissible to humans, including rabies. read more

I only go to the movies when my child wants to see something. What makes it worse is encountering teenage workers who seem completely unaware of how important great customer service is. The concession area was staffed by teens who showed little interest in being polite or helpful. It is disappointing but not surprising, as many of them simply do not understand the value of good service. On top of that, the theater was obviously short staffed or relying on low cost labor. The restrooms were filthy with tissue paper all over the floor, and the soap dispenser was completely empty. It is unacceptable, especially considering how much money people spend just to be there. read more

This was our first time visiting. We came with our infant and intentionally chose accessible row seating so we could quietly step out if needed without disturbing anyone. About 15 minutes into the movie, our baby became antsy, so my husband stepped into the hallway and stood off to the side to calm him. Staff then told him to move to a spot where he could no longer see the movie at all, despite him trying to avoid disrupting anyone. We ended up leaving early. Tickets were refunded, but over $50 of concessions were wasted. Customer service later said a popcorn/drink credit would be added to my rewards account, but it never appeared, and follow-up emails went unanswered. Very disappointing first experience, especially for a family trying to be considerate of others. read more

If you happen to be an Apple Pay/Samsung Pay/Google Pay user, do not go to this theater. I may be an old man (60 yrs old) but I have been using Apple Pay at all establishments for the past several years since Apple Pay was rolled out close to a decade ago. Absolutely every place that I go to these days takes Apple Pay except Walmart but they at least have Walmart Pay which is a decent alternative. All fast food drive thru windows accept it as well. I haven't needed to use a credit card for quite a while now. I've gone to several Alamodome events over the years and when you pull into the lot to pay the parking fee to the person standing there, they take Apple Pay too. Anyhow, today I went to the Santikos theater in Cibolo, stood in line for a few minutes at the concession stand, was ready to pay and asked where the NFC terminal was to hold my Apple Watch in the vicinity of and was told they do not take Apple Pay or any mobile payments at all. I was so annoyed because my movie was starting in a couple of minutes and I had left my wallet in the car like I always do because everyone takes digital payments these days (even vending machines, and anything else you can think of that requires the consumer to pay at the point of sale). For me to have to go back out to my car to grab my wallet meant that I was going to have to miss the previews before my movie started. I told the attendant "never mind" and went and sat down in my seat in the theater and was really annoyed that I did not get some popcorn and a drink. A few minutes later I got up, went to my car, grabbed my wallet, and went back to the concession and got my stuff. Over the years I had been to the Santikos Embassy location and they have always accepted Apple Pay so I am confused as to why this relatively new Santikos location did not accept it. Needless to say, it will be a cold day in hell if I ever set foot in the Cibolo Santikos theater again. Of all of the stores that I go to, there was one store that held out for years not accepting Apple Pay and that was H.E.B. but they started accepting it in the past year or so. This may sound like a petty issue but convenience of not having to have my stupid wallet with me in an establishment matters to me! read more

Had a big family group come here last month for bowling. We got there on a Sunday right when they opened without reservations. We were able to reserve our 2 hour time with no problem. There are many bowling lanes. Staff is nice. They have a full service bar and concession stand. There was an arcade too but we didn't make it over there. Was a nice time and fun place. read more

This is my favorite theater to go to in the greater San Antonio area. It's big, clean, and comfortable. I believe there's recliner style chairs in each theater. I've enjoyed the bowling. They make strong drinks at the bar and the popcorn is all you can eat if you order the large. The food is good and there's a full menu from 11" pizzas to sandwiches and salads. The only downside is that you pay extra to have your food brought to you in the movie theater. Otherwise you have to pick it up yourself from the concession area. read more

If you stay and watch the changing screens on the ticket pickup kiosk, eventually after 4 screens, the notice says no cash accepted. Very clean. Impressive arcade. The consession clerks were pleasant. cannot buy a small popcorn, that size is only on a combo, that includes a very large soda. Strange rules. But I like clean! Plenty of help here. Quickly climbing to the top of must-go theaters in town, while I haven't swang through for the arcade or the bowling, the movies have not disappointed. The AVX screenings are incredible, gorgeous picture with great sound, the seats are super comfortable, and the food is pretty tasty. Being a long time Santikos Membership holder, when this location opened I was gifted a plastic popcorn bucket good for $4 refills every visit through the end of 2019. I've managed to take advantage of it a few times already, I just clean it and keep it in my car for last second movies. The biggest drawback I see people reporting on this location is that they don't serve you in the theaters, you have to pick up your food when its ready. From my experience that's standard for every Santikos theater except for a couple auditoriums at Casa Blanca so its no deal breaker for me. My go to order has become the chicken quesadillas, gooey cheese and tender chicken without breaking the bank. I've had the mushroom burger as well and it was another winner. Ticket prices are also a couple bucks cheaper then similar theaters, this location being so new seems to be drawing huge crowds though so be sure to try and cop your tickets ahead of time. read more

Nice theater, it feels roomy today because there aren't that many people this morning but I do wonder how it transforms when it is at full capacity. They have all the signature treats you just don't get at other chains. For example, the cheesy nachos. Not just the crap Rico in a small container but also the nacho tray which tastes better. They have a pizza assembly bar which is cool. Employees were all nice. This is a nice amenity for Cibolo. Congrats guys. read more

My 15 year old can go watch a movie there but when she gets out cannot enjoy arcade or anything else. They have a "curfew" for those under 16 due to kids having "fistfights". They have a police officer on duty there. They have a sign at the front door that no one is gonna read. They also give a notice when you buy a ticket except not on Fandango. Do better Santikos, handle those that misbehave and don't generalize all kids. You are okay with a 16 year old working there but not as a patron. read more

Im going to be giving this facility 3 stars, nothing bad with the business just some workers are very uptight and demented. Matthew is by far my favorite worker there... but that's besides the point. Let's be clear...most places are relatively expensive nowadays. Santikos included. That said, I take my boys here every Tuesday during our holiday breaks because it's their Family Fun Tuesdays. Unlimited games and discounted food (ie $4.99 pizza, popcorn, drinks, etc) and specialty game attractions (ie VR, laser tag). Movies are also discounted all day to $4.99. We stayed for 6 hours (continuously) the last time we went and spent around $235 because we also bowled for 1 1/2 hours (the most expensive attraction that's never discounted). Bowling was $75 of our total bill. Our total bill also includes three cocktails (two that were discounted @ $6.50 and one that wasn't @ $13 because my husband never asks for deals! ). Anyhow...the bottom line is this: if you budget for it, you can have a great time at Santikos and not stress it. Otherwise, you'll spend your time there calculating every cost each time you swipe your card. By the way, you can always just do the $11 all day game play and leave for food elsewhere and come back to play later since it's good all day long, and skip all of the other stuff. We've done that before, too. You've got options, and that's what I like about this all day deal. read more

Horrible food service!!! Just go for a movie. I urge you not to ever order their food like nachos. Somehow they thought this lump of cold, frozen chicken breast was fit for their spicy shredded chicken nachos. It was solid lump of inedible chicken ligament and breast. The nachos has some nacho cheese, some shredded cheese, that was so cold it wasn't even near melted. It took 25 minutes into the movie go be ready. If we had known it would interrupt our movie we wouldn't have ordered it. There's plenty of staff to take orders, but apparently no staff to make orders and the ones they do have no sense of decency to make it half way respectable. This is a reflection of the management here, and needs to be dealt with. They are out of tubs for the popcorn. And give thin bags that leak any popcorn butter if you apply it. If you order a large the bags are much smaller than the tubs. Another reflection on management. Over all a poor, very expensive for not receiving anything half way decent. The good things are the movies and the seats. Other than that. Do not expect much! read more
