Santé on a Friday night is a vibe! It's sophisticated and lively. Our bartender was absolutely phenomenal. She is truly exceptional at her craft. Our cocktails were amazing. Make sure you come dressed appropriately. The dress code is strictly enforced.

As soon as you walk in, the place is absolutely amazing- so beautiful! We went around 7:30 PM, and it was just getting started, with great music, a lively crowd, and awesome energy at the bar. The service from the moment you walk in is superb. Sophia (front person staff) helped us out and was very knowledgeable, showing us all the seating options indoors and even walking us outside. Lauren was also fantastic, introducing us to both the drinks and the food and making you have a very unique experience! And Alex, our bartender, was absolutely great. The music was a total vibe, loud enough to enjoy, but not so loud that you can't have a conversation (live Dj). I highly recommend sitting at the bar; the service feels more personal, and it's a great way to meet people. Parking was a little confusing at first, but we figured it out. Valet is only $10, which is super convenient, but you can also find street parking around the restaurant if you prefer. Overall, the place is amazing, the food is great, the drinks were amazing and the staff made the experience even better. Houston, you've got a real gem in your city.

Sante!!! Wow, I had such an incredible experience here for a Friday HH. I did not make a reservation, but it was a chilly afternoon around 5:00pm and decided to take my chances. We were directed to a high top, and the vibe was exactly what I was hoping for. It was lively without feeling chaotic. Think large bar, beautiful chandeliers, great energy but not clubby. It felt like the perfect spot for a little date or an early evening with the girls where you actually want to get dressed up and have a real conversation. The HH is a win. Five dollar mini martinis and ten dollar flatbreads felt more than fair and fun to explore the menu. The lychee martini and the espresso martini were both standouts. The staff was fun, conversational, and elevated the experience by bringing over a few complimentary drinks for us to try, which made it feel extra special. I chose to valet for ten dollars just to keep things easy, and for the location and overall experience it felt fair. If I had one small note, it would be that the cocktails lean more flavor forward than alcohol strong. After a few, I did not necessarily feel like I had been drinking much, which wasn't a bad thing (they are just that smooth and easy to sip!). I cannot wait to come back and experience it again, but highly recommend as an early happy hour stop to kick off your evening!

CUTEST AMBIENCE EVER My absolute favorite thing about this place is how they put the flowers in their cocktails to dress it up ... the cutest thing ever! And then they LIGHT IT UP. For food, the flatbreads were so dayum DELICIOUS. We got the Frida - chorizo hit the spot omg! The guacamole was spectacular as always - the pomegranate seeds made it especially sPeCiAl. I definitely am looking forward in returning - to try their hazelnut brown butter bourbon. It's forever on my mind hahaha.

First off....learn about tequilas & whiskeys/bourbons! Because for the price of a drink the words 'Jim Beam' should never be uttered! Let's start with - recommended by our dinner waitress.... NO parking so $10 to valet required.... It was about $25 a drink and my margarita was served the old fashioned champagne stems (yesterday the ones that hold 4 oz of liquid).....for $25? And it wasn't even that great and their tequila selection was sub par for a typical bar. Then my husband orders an old fashioned and had 3 whiskeys/bourbons to chose from (JB, Woodford, or Bullet) that's it????? The ambience could have been cool, the decor and design inside and on the patio was awesome. But we had one drink and said let's leave! Neither was worth $50 and at that price & size you would have to spend $300 each to even get a buzz.

Hopefully not too soon to speak, but this is probably one of the top bars in Houston right now. Women get in, but men usually need to pay to get in. Reserving a table costs an arm and a leg, but that's the price of being Houston bougie. Atmosphere is beautiful. The bar is beautiful, the DJ area is beautiful, the people are beautiful, and it feels like a tropical escape in the patio area. The food is meh, but not bad. Tends to be very busy on weekends. Valet parking is a lot, but there are a lot of side streets as well to attempt parking. Always an enjoyable experience here. House music overall with an occasional violinist!

In my opinion, Sante is the most beautiful bar in Houston. The space is dreamy & chic, the ambiance is grown & sexy. It was my first time here. Upon walking in we noticed the bar seats were all taken, not surprising ofcourse for a Saturday night. We didn't have a reservation but the hosts were very kind and accomodating and were able to offer us a table for two. The presentation of their cocktails is impressive but they are also strong (no skimping on alcohol here) and the food was delicious! We ordered a flat bread and it was bigger than I expected but fresh & so glad we ordered it. I believe there may be time limits on tables, not sure if that's everyday or just weekends but we were asked to close out our tab for the next party maybe after an hour & a half. I didn't mind as we were lucky to even get a table without a reservation but a heads up would've been nice so we could've ordered quicker & had more time to enjoy our food and drinks. The DJ was great, we thouroghly enjoyed the music and mixes, they even have a violinist, Jacob, and he is amazing!! He serenaded me and although I am probably old enough to be his mom he sure made me feel special. This was by far the highlight of my night. Jacob is very talented and certainly adds to the charm at Sante. The valet was busy when we arrived but especially when we left, we must've waited 15 minutes on our car. Nonetheless, our experience was great and I will certainly be back!

Super vibey, upscale spot to grab top notch, IG worthy drinks. Vibe is more bougie/loungey/sophisticated so get your cute clothes on. We visited on saturday night post dinner. I snagged reservations in advanced which require a deposit. (The deposit can be refunded or applied towards the bill). The biggest question for me was where to reserve -- so your options -- Overall the space is not giant so you won't be missing out on anything at any of the spots -- first choice is in or out (in my mom's mom voice)!! --- Inside - - loungey/moody vibes with a dj type music. --- Outside -- super cute but more like rooftop bar vibes (minus the rooftop) you can't really here what's going on inside but they have music of course. Lots more causal sitting and ability to move around -- Verde Room tables - these are kinda out of the main room vibes. Good if you want to just be with your crew or maybe entertaining a group so you can focus -- Fire place - cozy spots for more of a date night vibe. Near the entrance so could feel a little in the way -- Olive tree table - i really liked this spot. cozy but more space for a crew and still in the mix. Super cute. High tops -- these area is at the furthest end of the indoor space closest to the patio. Nice for like friend group vibes and would give you bit of a vantage point. DJ - kinda a long couch so cool but not if you are trying to chat with the crew. more like observe in a line Patio -- see above. worth checking out. we actually ended up out here because we were cold inside. A must see - - get the crew, snag the resys and get your fancy drinks on!

The food and drinks were absolutely delicious. I ordered the pepperoni cauliflower flatbread and a lychee martini during happy hour The ambiance & decor of Santé was also nice. I would recommend dressing up. A few friends says it's a nice vibe in the evening so I plan to go back.

One of the most beautiful places I have partied at. The food was phenomenal, the drinks were unique, but a little pricey. But the vibe was on point.

Wow! Amazing venue with gorgeous spaces, creative drinks, delicious food, and overall coolness. We stopped by for brunch which ended up three hours long because we kept trying everything. Day drinking at it's finest. I can only comment on half of what we had or this review will be 8 pages long. This is the secret brunch place you've been waiting to spring on your someone special. Opens at noon. Start out with one of the fabulous brunch-only libations (alcoholic or not). The sunflower was my favorite but the two kinds of sangria are both outstanding. Then think over the Michelin worthy menu while munching on the deviled egg trio and the avocado mousse. That mousse will wake you up tonight craving more. Think creamy avocado, garlicy herby soft cheese, topped with the tart crunch of pomegranate seeds and accompanied by crispy lavash crackers. It's 13/10. Now have another cocktail. Try the cucumber kiwi thing in a Tajin crusted glass. The burger is not to be missed. It's so good it's almost insulting to call it a burger. Talk about elevated. It's more like hand minced tartar lightly cooked to your preferred doneness (medium is best) and served on a toasted brioche bun. If you ask they'll cut it into quarters to share. The lobster roll on brioche bun topped with caviar is decadent, but somehow simultaneously comfort food and elegant. A must order dish. The lobster is so obviously freshly cooked and good quality. Last, I'm going to gush over the mandatory desserts: creamy gelato topped with fruity olive oil and caviar. This is a flavor combination I never would have dreamed of previously but I'll be dreaming about it now. The other delish bite is the Dubai chocolate croissant. Pistachio. chocolate. croissant! Enough said. We tried lots of drinks and food and enjoyed everything. The fancy little shots are so fun and creative. Hats off to Chef Kevin and his team, and the awesome bar staff, and all the servers. The owners, managers, and cocktail and food consultants/wizards have outdone themselves. Highly recommended.

Coming here was a surreal experience - in a bad way. I felt like I was in a knock off version of Vanderpump Rules or the Real Housewives. Although the decor is beautiful, the service was laudable. Our bartender literally said "please wait one moment" and didn't even come back to take our order - ever. Eventually we caught the attention of someone else who made our drinks. Of course this took twice as long as it should as they would stop to gossip. And there was a lot of gossip and not a lot of mixing. The drinks though were good but it almost seemed as if the people were hired based more on looks than on skills. It took 30 minutes for my husband and I to get our drinks which is crazy considering there were so many bartenders just standing around.

Chic moody decor. Gives an upscale vibe. Has 2 large trees located in the bar. When making reservations you are asked which seating area you want to book but if you've never been there how do you know?! Here's a quick guide & pics. High top table: 3 high tables close to bar DJ area - long L-shaped couch/bench area. Maybe can seat around 12. Verde room- couch seating with low tables. Typical bottle service looking area. The area is closed off behind a curtain when they are not crowded. Patio - nice size covered area. Bar - circular bar seating with good amount of seating (about 20 seats) Garden tables - don't see it listed on the reservation site but there are 3 low couch & chair tables which is a seating area by the front window looking out into the street. Drinks were good. Tasty & well balanced. Mone were not very alcohol forward but a good tasting drink. I went on a Tuesday night which is an "off" night. I can only imagine how busy it gets on the weekend but I prefer the intimate atmosphere of the "off" night. The staff was quite friendly. It's a great place to take pics, enjoy the decor & have a drink before or after dinner.

I ate at Norigami Tuesday night and it was great as were the cocktails served up at the nextdoor bar called Hidden Bar. On Tuesday, I tried the Thai Chili Ginger Margarita ($13) and it was great, complete with a hunk of candied ginger which I "gingerly" consumed throughout my drink experience...see what I did there? Next, I had the Three Dots and a Daiquiri ($13) with Rum, Lime, Velvet Falernum, All Spice and Pineapple and it was very similar to one of my favorite tiki drinks, the Three Dots and a Dash, complete with 3 luxardo cherries. To finish, I had the absolutely incredible Golden Laurel ($16) with Gin, Italicus Bergamot, House Greek Botanical Bitters and Sea Salt. It is equally beautiful served with a clear bay leaf and delicious. Last night, I was guided by the friendly bartender to try the Et Tu Banana" ($15) with Banana Bourbon, Spiced Pear, Creme de Banane, Campari and Citric Acid. I was a little worried about the cocktail being overly banana-y but it wasn't at all. It was a fantastic drink. For my last call, he recommended the Left Hand ($13) with Bourbon, Campari, Sweet Vermouth and Chocolate Bitters. Again, fantastic. Both nights, the bartenders and drinks were fantastic. Ambiance is nice with moody lighting. They even have a bidet toilet seat in the bathroom! Hidden Bar is a "hidden" gem, for sure. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

So we walked on over to this little speakeasy and were immediately greeted by the bouncer. On a Thursday night, it was quite crowded, but were able to find the last remaining seats at the bar. We were seated at the left end of the bar, which was nice because we had our own little "nook" away from the rest of the bar. Adjacent to us was the server station - the one server tending to the tables, Marilyn, frequently came by and we immediately befriended her. She gave us excellent recommendations and provided her opinion on several drinks. Robin was the bartender who took care of us throughout the night. She was super friendly from the moment we sat down and gave us stellar recommendations on food and drinks. She was happy to tweak a couple of their seasonal drinks to our liking, and even offered to mix other drinks that weren't on the menu. Fantastic service from Robin throughout the night. I started out with Tommy's Margarita - this was just their take on a classic margarita, nothing super special. I then ordered the Oaxacan Old Fashioned - think of an old fashioned made with tequila and mezcal in lieu of bourbon. I was a bit cautious about this one since I am not a fan of mezcal, however the smoky flavor was not very apparent in this one, which was a huge plus! I also got the Ardilla - very unique drink made with mexican corn whiskey, cocoa nibs, sherry, and a milk punch. I award this drink for most unique I've had in a while, definitely give it a try if you're up for something new. To finish, I had the Cariña - their take on an espresso martini made with reposado tequila. I really liked this espresso martini - it was a great way to finish out the night and I left feeling inspired to make my espresso martinis at home using tequila now! With the little room we had left in our stomachs, we tried the Pato Tinga Memela, which was duck leg (no bone) with beans and onions and cilantro atop a memela. I haven't had memela specifically per se, but consider me a fan. It is basically a mini "cake" of masa that is pan fried to a slight crispiness. An Oaxacan speciality, where else can I find these in Houston!? We also tried the Guacamole y Tostadas. The guacamole was unique in the sense that it was Oaxacan style, so contains pepitas, pickled onions, and queso fresco. The tostadas were super crispy and reminded me of how they serve guacamole in Mexico (rather than with chips/totopos). Fun fact is that this bar is owned by Goode Company. Next door to this is Goode Co. Cantina, so it's nice that they created an adjoining restaurant + speakeasy concept within the same strip. At one point in our visit, Levi Goode was standing next to us. We didn't know until after he left and Marilyn informed us, that that was THE man. Just doing a casual check-in of his bar. We really had a good experience at Bar Buena and look forward to returning. The food menu has quite a few offerings I wanted to try had I not come from a cooking class. We were also told that the seasonal drink menu was set to change shortly after our visit, so I look forward to trying these drinks!

When I tell you this is the friendliest service I've ever had at a bar or restaurant, I mean it! We tried out three of their drinks: enamorada, uno amargo, and their classic frozen mezcal margarita. I say this as someone who is stupid about cocktails, but I think if you're a fan of old fashioneds you'll be a fan of the uno amargo - it'll put some hair on your chest! I loved the frothiness that the egg white brings to the enamorada but I think the frozen margarita was our winner. Imagine your favorite frozen marg but better - the mezcal brings an earthier flavor to a cocktail that us Texans all know and love. Finally for food we had the pato tinga memela, gulf crab tostadas, and carnitas flautas. I genuinely loved them all so much, every protein was so juicy bursting with flavor, which makes sense considering everything is made to order. If I had to pick a favorite I would struggle (I'm not kidding, it was all that good), but I think the crab tostadas won us over with their freshness. We had such a great first visit to bar buena and I can see this quickly becoming a cozy date or after dinner drink spot!

First, the vibe. It is warm, stylish, and very Montrose in the best way. It feels elevated but still relaxed enough to just sit, talk, and enjoy your time without feeling rushed. We came during happy hour and it was such a great deal. I ordered the Sweet Like Peach Tree, which was light, refreshing, and perfectly balanced with the peach and ginger. My husband got the Frozen Paloma and it was just as good, super smooth with the right citrus bite. We also shared the churros and they were honestly a must order. Warm, crispy, and paired with Nutella and caramel. What really made the experience stand out though was our bartender, Manny. He was incredibly welcoming from the moment we sat down, had such a great personality, and made the whole experience feel personal. You can tell he genuinely enjoys what he does, and that kind of service is hard to find. He also told us about their upcoming two year anniversary party on May 3rd with rotating live DJs, which sounds like it will be such a fun time. We will definitely be back. Between the drinks, the atmosphere, and the service, this place really gets it right.

It's a little small inside and a small parking lot, but if you're lucky and can walk there, do! The quality of the drinks are really excellent and the burgers have been voted some of the best in town! I can't speak for them, but the drinks and the spot, are phenomenal. They have bingo nights, dj nights, and other themed events that keep the place packed out. Maybe once I try the burgers, it'll be 5 stars, but the smallll parking lot and lack of safe street parking keep me at 4.

Their chicken sandwich is a must try and has gotten well deserved accolades. Perfectly breaded, toasted bun, and very juicy. We paired it with the churro French toast, an almost cloyingly sweet (but perfectly cooked) dish that definitely needed a savory balance. Their bacon is delicious, super thick with a slightly herby flavor. The evening hours can get loud between the crowds and the DJ, but the vibe is still really cool and chill. Definitely one of the more unique, fun spots of the Montrose/Upper Kirby area.

The only unfortunate part of my experience was that the two of us at my table got the same dish - biscuits and gravy. The biscuit was dense but softened under the rich and savory gravy, and I got my eggs over easy to get the yolk mixed in. I also added some of their house-made habanero curry hot sauce, which is absolutely delicious. I'll definitely have to try a few other dishes next time! Their coffees are also great, with unique flavors for their lattes like spiced guava and molasses. Both of these were super tasty, hot and iced! Ultimately 93' Til is staying on my brunch list as a top tier choice, I can't wait to come back!
