    Three enchilada lunch....
    Sean M.

Thursday lunch. Arrived just before noon. Order at the small counter and found one of the only 12 tables ... Only 3 were occupied... That soon changed ... Within 15 minutes it was full. I ordered the combo meal - 3 enchilada; one beef, chicken and pork c/w refried beans and rice. Fresh and fantastic! Perfect lunch size and reasonable at $11.50 all in with a can of pop. Salsa was just spicy enough. Service was quick and helpful ... I was served by a female... Seemed like a family business. They also sell fresh made corn chips and Mexican hot sauce. Fresh made tortilla wraps are for sale on a small fridge. I will definitely be back for lunch ... A little early to beat the rush!

    Review Highlights - Santa Rosa

We stopped by here on a whim to only buy their tortillas since it's a tortilla factory, but when we walked in, I had to try the burrito since the price was only $6.

Part 2 of 2: Some…read moredishes I quite liked, such as Keto Grillin' (my favourite), Macro Shred, Paleo Foody, The Sea Ghost, Vegan Pump, Italian Passion, Iron Macros, and Seaside Paleo; but the majority of the dishes were so-so and not worth ordering again, and the Globe Trottin' Keto was downright nasty (I don't know if it had gone bad, but it tasted somewhat rotten). Also, the wraps were awful -- dry and bland. I initially really liked the Daybreak wrap -- it was moist, cheesy, and flavourful, but when I ordered it again, it was dry and bland like the others. Conclusion: some of their food is pretty good (for the most part, they do steak, chicken, and potato/yam mashes well), but most of it is meh, and for $12.99 to $15.99 per meal, it is not worth ordering. And if I do find something I really like, I can't always re-order it because the menu changes every week. Despite being disappointed with the majority of the dishes, I decided to place an order last week. I ordered: my favourites Keto Grillin' and Macro Shred; Grecian Keto (chicken souvlaki with cheese and zucchini fritters, cauliflower hummus, and tzatziki), Those Thighs Oh My (paprika-seasoned chicken thighs, mashed potatoes, grilled zucchini, and red onion), T-Rex Goes Hunting (beef and broccoli stir fry over brown rice), and Sexy and You Know It (blackened chicken breast over pasta with sun-dried tomato sauce). The T-Rex Goes Hunting and Sexy and You Know It dishes were quite good (I'd re-order again), but I was disappointed with the Grecian Keto and Those Thighs Oh My. That being said, would I order from them again? Probably, from time to time. However, I will not be regularly ordering from them as there aren't always dishes I like, and when I try something new, the majority of the dishes are just so-so. Not bad, but not worth the price. Give them a try, and if you like their food, awesome! Note that they only deliver on Sundays and Mondays (you must place an order by Thursday of the previous week), and the delivery fee is a very reasonable $5 for orders under $100 (free delivery over $100).

They are complicating the receipts. I ordered five different dishes on my first order, and I'm very sad to say that none of them was good. My partner couldn't even eat two bites . Very strange flavors. Sometimes simply is better. Also, they forced you to pay a deposit for the cool bag. and when you stop the service literally you have to contact them multiple times to get the deposit back. The website is also very confusing. definitely they need some branding and some new people working in the team to give them a different perspective.

After carefully researching all of the meal prep and delivery services in the area I settled on…read moreFuud because (a) the meals looked the most delicious and (b) the ingredients are all local. After a month of Fuud deliveries, I can say the experience has been positive overall. The ingredients for the recipes come in separate kits, but you have to do your own chopping. We have really enjoyed all but one of the meals we received, and the recipes feel very well thought out. It has definitely made dinner time more exciting (chicken cacciatore, madras lamb, banh mi bowls - yum!), and gotten us out of our repetitive dinner rut. The portions are very large - we have the couples plan but one dinner usually works out to be dinner and then lunch for two again the next day. So even though it's probably the priciest meal delivery service on the market, we feel like we're saving money by not having to buy stuff for lunches anymore. There has been the occasional hiccup with the online ordering system, but it has always been resolved quickly. My only real complaint is that we've found the timing to be way off for some of the recipes (i.e., prep is often quoted as taking 5 minutes but there's so many things to chop that it's more like 15, or the recipe will say to cook for a minimum of 30 minutes but preferably longer so it's actually more like 45).

I had a few friends who brought me some from their favourite bakeries too. When I moved back to the West Coast, I missed those patties (amongst other Toronto eats.) And that's why I was so glad to find Morgan's Harbour was just around the corner from my home offering authentic Jamaican patties. They're currently supplying groceries around the Lower Mainland and seem to just started their their retail business up and running. They're open for pick-up on Mondays and Fridays only. I emailed them my request to order 1 dozen spicy beef patties for $32.50 and the following day, Friday, they confirmed that I can pick-up my order. Payment can be done by cash or etransfer to their published email address. Pick-up was at their factory at an industrial area in PoCo. (Almost missed it as the door wasn't labeled - kinda comical, actually!) The patties were frozen and had instructions on how to heat it. We were so excited to try it that we just popped them in the microwave. The crust was so flaky and the finely minced beef was so flavourful with the right proper spices to make me want to keep on eating! These patties are much better than my TTC patties! I'm ordering more next time and sharing them with my family!
