My friend and I were browsing, speaking to each other and I looked at this woman and she was actually staring me down with the most evil, nasty look on her face. So, if there was a million things in your store I wanted to purchase, I would have not bought one because of her. I'm sure she's turned many a customer off. I was reviewing the online listing, trying to gather pertinent info to share with the client - ie cost, colors, availability, shipping time in transit so they could make an informed decision. The shipping time wasn't listed online but I saw they had a customer service chat function. I sent my question on shipping time and waited a minute for someone to connect. They sent "?????" and "are you there?" right when they connected. Weird. I wrote back hello and they said they needed to know what color to answer. I shared the potential color. They said it was in stock, goes out within week of the order, and ships fedex. I asked how long it would be expected to take in transit. (This was my question initially). They said they don't make any promises. I said is there an estimation... 2 weeks, 5 months, roughly what should we plan for? They then wrote "why would you say that when I just said one week?" But as you recall, I was told after ordering, they ship out within one week. They never said the timing in transit. Then they disconnected. I was dumbfounded! Needless to say I absolutely will not recommend my client orders from Bon Marche. Hope this customer service person has the day they deserve.

Defective items and threatening customer service. This does not follow US trade law, where regardless of a claim or not they are responsible for non-defective items. When I reminded them of their responsibility and graciously laid out options, including sending back for a normal return, they called me at SEVEN PM at night to threaten me and my family like thugs. I cannot get over the disgusting behavior of such thugs, this store is like a criminal enterprise. They may just get defective merchandise from Bon Marche and try to pawn it off onto customers who do not know better. Avoid this vendor at all costs - they don't even provide a price advantage vs. the Fermob website, or even Pottery Barn. I tried to support a small business - however an attempted scam and criminal behavior is what I was rewarded with. I may have to file a restraining order against their bizarre and undignified customer service representative, Jean Phillipe. Don't waste time, just buy from Fermob directly.

The craftsmen were plying their trade on the other side of an open wall. For those who want instant gratification they have a lot to choose from. I had a specific goal in mind. As difficult as it was I stayed away from the other temptations. I found a beautiful set of wooly mammoth tusk grips(10-15000yrs old). I had an idea of the 2nd pair - blue mammoth tooth, turquoise, meteorite, one made up of mineral deposits, or a combination. Well, until I went into a back room and was shown a mammoth tooth in red/pink. Red/pink it is. It'll be 4-6 weeks until they're ready. You can't rush good craftsmanship. Regardless of what you select, price is commensurate with the level of craftsmanship. Unique, exotic or unusual in knives, cutlery, jewelry or handgrips it's probably here.

He found us the right oven and instead of upselling, he actually recommended the most practical product for my needs. I love when companies are treating me how they'd want to be treated, helping me make a decision that's best for me, not selling me the priciest product I won't need. Tyler recommended a wonderful GM double oven that I now have had for maybe half a year -- beautiful oven and I've been enjoying it. GM is a great brand! My unit is older so the space available for the stove was smaller than the standard. We asked Tyler if he could find maybe a European brand that would fit and still be good and he did -- Bertazzoni! Never heard of them before Tyler found them but the stove he found was so terrific -- better than any stove I've had before. I cook quite a bit and this thing has been a BLAST to use. I especially love the center burner, it has ZERO issue in bringing things to a boil, which can be an issue at altitude and has been and I sometimes make small amounts. This thing is the most powerful burner/stove -- yesterday I brought 6 liters of preserves to a boil VERY quickly -- my old burner wouldn't be able to do it at all. I am now a fan of Bertazzoni stoves. And it's smaller so it fits right into my space but still amazingly powerful. When they came to install, there were some issues with the fit, they took great care of it and were very professional, conscientious, and pleasant to deal with. There was a slight issue a few weeks after the installation -- I think maybe one of doors on the oven was a bit loose. Tyler came over himself within a day or two and took care of the problem. This has been such a wonderful experience -- dealing with Sierra West had been a blast and Tyler as well as all his coworkers were honest, conscientious, and helpful. I felt like I could trust them and they were looking out for me. Most importantly, I am now enjoying my new beautiful oven and stove.
