I appreciated the hotel pickup and drop off and the drive was beautiful. If you're staying in Santa Barbara, be sure to check the weather for Santa Ynez - it ended up being about 10 degrees warmer up in the valley on the day we visited. We stopped at 3 wineries as well as a farm stand style olive oil place. At two of the three wineries, the winemaker themselves led our tasting. Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to answer any questions we had. I'd be happy to attend another tour with Stagecoach in the future.

The tasting rooms were each unique from the outdoor setting of Vega Vineyard with its farm animals, to the lodge feeling of Brick Barn - which is dog friendly and had a 90's cover band named Smelly Cat playing in the outdoor patio - to the family run Saarloos and Sons (OUR FAVORITE) where Brielle shared stories of her family wines paired with ah-mazing cupcakes. We had a fantastic time and recommend everything about this tour.

The vehicle was pristine, incredibly comfortable, and filled with refreshments. Our guide was great, really knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly well-connected in the Santa Barbara wine community.Because this is a private agency, they cleared away all the usual hassle of wine tasting. Instead of standing at crowded bars, we were taken to exclusive, behind-the-scenes estate tours and private estate pavilions. We tasted incredible, limited-production Pinot Noirs and Syrahs that aren't even open to the general public, all while overlooking rolling hills. The highlight was an artisanal lunch served alfresco on a private vineyard terrace, perfectly paired with library vintage wines. The pacing of the entire day was awesome we never felt rushed, yet everything moved with a good steady pace. The level of personalized, concierge-style service we received was unmatched. They handled every detail, tracked our preferences, and even arranged for our case purchases to be seamlessly shipped directly to our home. This wasn't just a wine tasting trip; it was an unforgettable, five-star luxury experience. We will absolutely be booking again next year!

A few of my mom friends & I decided to take some time for ourselves & one of them suggested we go wine tasting, the obvious question arises: who will drive? When another mom said, "Let's do the jeep tour", I was like, "I'm no tourist!" (being born & raised in Santa Barbara & living in Ojai for over a decade) definitely the wrong attitude to have, & I am so grateful I was overruled. Our tour was AMAZING! The owner curated the wineries we went to base on a conversation with my friend, four perfect picks, the jeep ride up with our guide/driver Michelle was great, she had lots of history, I swear I learned some things about my hometown area I had never known! Fortunately they did prepare us ladies by recommending hats/scarfs or hair pulled back, I wore & ponytail & tied a scarf around my head & was perfectly fine in the windy jeep, bonus it gave me a great excuse to pull out a scarf I bought in Paris last year (#humblebrag) The wineries were postcard beautiful, the Cloud Climbers people have cultivated great relationships w/ the wineries, you could feel the mutual respect, our included lunch was to die for, I am still thinking about the bread! The wineries offer some amazing clubs & you are able to drink some vintages not available anywhere else, of course we all scooped up our personal favs, Michelle did an incredible job of keeping us on track yet still allowing us to feel free to enjoy each winery at a leisurely pace, never rushed. We were all loving the Cloud Climbers wine glasses included, they all came decorated with cute bead wine charms to keep them straight, mine magically matched my outfit! I especially enjoyed the drives down the dirt paths of the vines & learning about the growing process, it was something I had never considered in wine making & I must add: enjoying the vistas, in the open air jeep, with the warm new Summer wind breezing over your skin, I closed my eyes & felt so grateful for the moment. Being with treasured friends, drinking delicious wine, creating new memories, really just stopping to enjoy the moment, I believe it's the feeling we are craving. Don't miss your opportunity to have a wonderful experience, the Cloud Climbers people are pros in every way. We are already planning our next outing with Cloud Climbers!

if you're able to book cloud climbers, you're going to have a good time…read more I've taken cloud climbers twice previously and had a blast each time. I recently booked for 3 couples, a party of 6 for next weekend Feb 16th for belated V-day celebration. But the other 2 couples couldn't make it so I called today to update the party size to 2 people. Because we were only 2 people, we were told that they couldn't guarantee us a spot since it's not profitable for them to host a tour with only 2 people. He said he'll put me on a list, so if other people book, the tour will continue, if not, tour will be cancelled. I was a little surprised because I had received an e-mail from them that says buy a valentine special for a party of 2 (picture attached). I think it would've been nice to put a note that tours do not run if there is fewer than 4, nice to have but I didn't rate them a 4 instead of 5 star for this since I get it, a business needs to run on a profit. I decided to cancel and explore other options. When I called another tour, they explained that it was their slow season, also mentioned that there's a minimum number of people for them to be profitable, but provided me other options like instead of semi-tour, maybe first book a private tour, which is more expensive, but they'll be happy to lower the price if other people sign up too, or if I'm flexible, there's other days if I wanted the semi-tour. This was where I saw the difference between a 4-star vs 5-star service. And so to my previous statement, if you're able to book cloud climbers, you're going to have a good time. But what sets a 4-star from 5-star was this recent booking experience. 4-star was them politely letting me know they can't service two people. 5-star is letting me know, explaining why, and seeing if there's other options that might work.

You also should refrain from touching people's plates and cups as you discuss and show them the food items. I understand it's a food tour, but especially when you don't have clean hands, it's highly unsanitary! It's also a good idea to not greet dogs and let them lick all over you ... your hands.... your arms AND your face while you're interacting with people who are eating food, bringing them food from the restaurant & leading a tour. It's a good idea to give people space after you give them the information about the tour and the food and the art and let them socialize with the people that they came with. We should not have experience the person who is giving the tour or learning how to give a tourist next to you constantly asking you questions about what you're eating, what you're trying, where you're from or other questions that are really irrelevant .. it is pretty annoying & doesn't allow you to enjoy the experience fully. It's not a good idea to take shortcuts, because it's easier for you as the tour guide. One of our group members ate meat. The other 2 are vegetarians, but to keep it simple or make it easier. She was repeatedly offered vegetarian options and not given the opportunity to try the meat options along the tour. This was frustrating as you were very clear when setting up the tour, what the food restrictions were, we reminded them again when we got to the beginning of the tour and also reminded along the tour. How often will we need to say it in order to get the full experience. Although the tour guide and her trainee were very nice & social, it is not likely not an experience we'll do again.
