We had a great time for my birthday with Jon from Coastal Concierge. He offered to take photos without us having to ask, made sure we were supplied with water and fed well, he gave us tips and secrets since we were first time wine tasters. Coastal Concierge supplied us with a great lunch and cheese/fruit board which was phenomenal. They accommodate for food restrictions in advance. My best friend was in need for a relaxing bachelorette weekend and Coastal Concierge provided just that. To start off, they provide you with door to door service wine tours. This is amazing when you are drinking and don't know exactly where you are going. Second, we had 8 girls and they had a van big enough for us all. The driver was very nice and knowledgeable about the wine and region. He doubled as our photographer for the day and he did a great job! We went to 3 different wineries. The first was Dierburg Star Lane. This winery is in a barn and we were enjoying sitting out on the patio in the sun. The second was Foley, my favorite. This is where we had out gourmet lunch. One of our girls has celiacs disease and is also a vegetarian and they brought her her own Salmon and quinoa salad. For everyone else we had pasta salad, chicken strips, salad, bread and yummy cheeses. This lunch was so good! Foley also did our tastings with our lunch and gave us a second round on the one we liked. (Thanks Sniper Dave!) I highly recommend Coastal if you ever want to take a private wine tour. We were booked through the Four Seasons Resort, The Biltmore, Santa Barbara. Our guide was knowledgeable and crafted a tour around our wine tastes (Pinot Noir). We left at 10am and were back at the resort by 3pm. We had a nice picnic lunch provided by our guide at one of the wineries. We had a very nice time. We used this group for a celebration of my 50th birthday. Matt guided us on a comfortable ride on a big bus (there were 30 of us) to the Santa Ynez wine country. I booked an aerial tour followed by wine tour with coastal concierge through Bacarra to celebrate my husband's bday. I have to admit, it was the best experience ever. Paul, our guide was wonderful & we got everything we asked for & more! Paul, picked us up from our resort, Bacarra, in Santa Barbara & drove us to SB airport first for our Aerial tour. Then he picked us up & took us to three different wineries. He was very pleasant & friendly. He taught us so much about different wines, the temperature the fruit needs to grow in, & all the interesting information we wanted to learn. In addition, he prepared a private lunch for us at the Spear winery with the most fabulous view. We are vegetarian/pescatarian so he prepared the most delicious grilled salmon, with kale salad & another Mediterranean salad. We were so impressed & couldn't thank him & coastal concierge enough. Mathew Cooper is one of the owners. He was my first point of contact. He is amazing as well. Friendly and professional Santa Ynez wine country car service and tour operators. My wife and I have used them twice in the last 3 years when on vacation in Santa Barbara. They will drive you in a nice clean SUV to the wineries you wish to visit or they can suggest tour destinations. Wineries all waive tasting fees for you if you're with them, and some offer special discounts, too. A gourmet lunch (bread and cheese, cashew chicken skewers, pasta salad, dessert) is also included, which they set up for you at a winery while you're inside tasting. read more

Coastal Concierge did such a great job on our 10th anniversary wine tour. My wife thought I was a hero for setting all this up, but Matt Cooper of Coastal Concierge was the real hero! We got a delicious gourmet lunch a, knowledgeable and friendly driver who knew how to graciously walk the line between attentiveness and intrusion. What a wonderful value and a great day! One helpful reminder: Work out the tip before you start to drink. Later, when I realized I hadn't tipped enough the hotel that we booked it through couldn't do anything to correct it because it was a third party charge. read more

We booked a tour with them three weeks before our scheduled wine tour. They called us three days before to say they were sorry but they had overbooked and could not accommodate us after all. Such a bummer. I'm sure they probably give a great tour if you actually get to go with them. Good luck when booking these people...you might want to have a back up plan in place just in case. We did NOT have a back up plan and now we will not be wine tasting in Santa Barbara since all the tours are now booked. Thanks a lot SB Coastal Concierge. Severely disappointed. read more

Very very good. Our driver, Ryan, was knowledgeable of both the area and the wine. Took us to three different wineries and was very detailed in the description of the differences in the wineries and what we were seeing and drinking. Lunch was great wine was good. We decided last minute on a "weekend getaway" to Santa Barbara. We live in LA and ironically, neither of us had ever been to Santa Barbara. Having always heard about the wine tasting in the area, decided to book a tour for one of our two days there. After reading some reviews on various places, decided to go with Coastal Concierge. I am so glad that we made this choice. First of all, I can not say enough good things about our driver, Derek. He was simply amazing and catered to our every need. Also, just a wealth of knowledge. We spent the entire afternoon riding around to various wineries, none of which were crowded, but all amazing. Derek allowed us to go at our own pace which was really nice. Never felt rushed at all. We lost all track of time and before we knew it, it was time to head back. Not before, we enjoyed three amazing wineries and received an awesome picnic lunch that Derek set up for us. I recommend this company to anyone who is looking for a fun relaxing, no worries kind of day. And if you are lucky enough to get Derek as your concierge/driver......you will not be disappointed. My husband surprised me with a trip to Santa Barbara for my birthday, a place very special to us and one we visit as often as possible. We always try and do wine tasting while in Santa Barbara and have used a variety of other tour companies. Without question Coastal Concierge is the single best tour company either of us have ever used, not just in Santa Barbara but in Napa, Oregon, and New York. Derek, studying to be a master Som, was incredibly knowledgable, a fantastic teacher, very, very funny and maintained the perfect mix of service and letting my husband and I have time together. The food was incredible, the vineyards he chose were unique and incredible. He tailored it to our likes and preferences and we ended up going to three different AVA's and buying half a case of the fabulous wines we tasted. I have been to the wine country in Santa Ynez many times but this was the best experience I have ever had. And it was for my birthday! First off, our driver was engaging and knowledgeable about the area. He encourage us to learn more about the places we were going and enjoy the subtle amenities that we might have missed. That was great but the best part was the wineries themselves. These guys have connections to wineries that are not open to the public that I didn't know existed. Booking private tastings allowed us to spend time with the wine makers/owners so we could learn more about the wines and the great stories behind each property. The entire experience made for the best birthday I have had in a long time. I will definitely be using them again for my next trip out there. read more
