Just another greedy business owner scamming hard working tax paying people. He believes he entitled to get over $300 for 45 minutes of work. Unbelievable because we got towed for parking "over the line". They get called by the local police and believe they're entitled to those rates. If you need a tow and you're in a jolly mood, count on Víctor Antonio to dampen your day. This guy was trying to argue with me as a customer with a call he was an hour and a half late on and for the second, two hours and a half later for the second call. Usually they'd call right away to see where the location is to confirm. He even tried to lie several times about arrival times like I can't see his real time eta on the app and calls. And after I told him I'm riding with him, he said I can't do that but the tow states clearly that one person can ride and it's two or more that gets omitted. Usually the customer is the angry one bc they're getting a tow, but I'm really relaxed with these issues, it's this specific employee with this company that obviously is not experienced and need more field training. UPDATE: So I got the work order rerouted but they tried to talk to Sb Towing and they said that a new employee would be routed to the tow and I asked who it would be and they said Victor Antonio. Lmao, honestly if you're a woman that has to sit with the person driving and trying to fight you, for a call from seven hours ago they really think their customers are idiots really. read more

their driver David showed up to two young women at 2am and thought it was a great idea to hook the car up by the complete WRONG part and bend BOTH my tire rods out of shape. cannot even believe this level of incompetence can be in business. the pic is the rod bent completely at an angle, they are supposed to be completely straight. this is $1070 of repairs including replacement of both tire rods and the re-alignment! the alignment is costly at $115 because he screwed it up so bad my prius was pulling 25 degrees or more to the right! i can only hope driving it didn't bald the tires before i realized how much freaking damage this rude tow truck driver had caused to my poor vehicle! on top of all this, the guy working was a complete ass, he was rude the whole time, hanging up on me twice when i said it was too loud on his end to hear him. once my girlfriend and I got in the truck with him, he continued blaring his extremely vulgar music, blasting out cuss words and terrible misogynistic lyrics! do not ever let david touch your car! reassign the call immediately! update!!!! do not trust david specifically, if he hasnt been fired by now. Frank, the business owner, made pretty good on this one. came down to big brand to meet with me and check out the damage. he's taking responsibility for it, he was very polite to me after learning what his tech had done. hopefully frank will consider vetting his guys a little more closely! he doesnt need any more of this kind of headache. changing rating to 2 stars because my experience was still pretty bad, hopefully this company can do better in the future especially because the owner frank seemed like a nice guy. read more

Frank is a true hero! He is very professional, thorough and he puts safety first. My car was involved in an accident, and it was not drivable. While I waited for several hours for the tow truck to arrive via AAA, the reason was because it was a busy Saturday evening with high demand and few drivers, By the time the flatbed tow truck arrived, it was early morning (1am), and we had the unfortunate misadventure of driving behind an incapacitated, drunk driver who was swerving across lanes of the 101 south. Frank advised for me to call 911 to report the incident and harrowing activity, as we watched the car swerve in and out of lanes. At one point, the car hit and bounced against the guardrail, only to get right back into the traffic. Frank was able to astutely keep a smart distance away,kept calm and honestly protected our lives as the catastrophic episode unfolded before our eyes. Thanks to Frank for being an incredibly professional and safe driver. Jerome went above and beyond for me in that he took the time to actually explain to me what was going on with my car, was patient and kind and also provided some good creative thinking for offloading my car safely into sort of a complicated driveway. I mentioned a few times "oh gosh this is taking for ever I'm so sorry", but he explained that when he's with a client they are priority until the job is finished, so while the wait time was long-ish he did give me his full attention until my issue was resolved and I really appreciated it. I'm torn writing this review. The service is friendly but the wait time is atrocious. My truck has a nearly dead battery. It wouldn't start this morning at my home. ToyotaCare had dispatched this company to come to my aid for a jumpstart. The driver showed up in an hour and 20 minutes. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, and had given me a courtesy call 10 minutes prior. That transaction was satisfactory in my book. Fast forward 45 minutes, and my battery is once again dead. Per the driver's instructions, I had left the car running for 30 minutes and even took it onto the freeway to warm it back up. Turn the engine off for 5 minutes, run into a coffee shop, come back out and my car won't start. Called ToyotaCare again and they immediately dispatched SB Towing. After 90 minutes of waiting this time, I call into the towing company's office. The woman on the other end tells me the driver will be here in 20 minutes. It's been 40 minutes after I placed the call into SB Towing, making my total wait time 2 hours and 10 minutes for a simple jumpstart. I understand it's Saturday but this is kind of ridiculous. Because this company is the only one Toyota roadside assistance contracts with in Santa Barbara, I am left with no other choice but to continue waiting. Would not recommend. Dreadful service. They were supposed to collect my vehicle at an agreed time and were late with no communication at all. They then were supposed to deliver it first thing the next morning and did not with no communication at all. When I called to enquire their attitude was "we will get to it when we are ready". When I complained I was told "that is in the past" which is an excuse I am sure we would all love to get away with. When you entrust a vehicle to a towing company you need to be able to trust them. I called them up and gave them detailed directions about my location. They said they would have a tow truck to me in exactly one hour. I waited in my car for an hour and 20 mins. Was stuck on the side of the road as my fob/key had fallen out while I was hiking. Santa Barbara towing (Jerome) was great and came as wick as he could when he found out I was sitting by the side of the road in the cold and the dark. He got into my car in less than 2 minutes. I also spoke to the owner to find out when the driver was coming and he was really nice. Jerome gave me a ride back to my house to get my spare key (which he did not have to do at all). For a new girl in town I was impressed by the friendliness of the staff and their concern. I see there are other lower reviews - but my experience was wonderful. read more

Police officer made it a point to list items left in my vehicle since I was sent to the hospital. After going over to recover items from my vehicle, it had been completely cleaned out. It's been an hour since original ETA, two hours since the driver "left", and I've been playing phone tag with their clueless operator, who can't contact her driver. The operator told me she would transfer my call to her manager, then told me he would call right back. No call. Next thing I know driver calls me asking for a cross street and the address again. To which I provided the information and asked if they already had that information. Yes he says but his phone is on the fritz. Then I ask him where he is now, and he hangs up on me. Granted this is a full two hours since the driver left Ortega Street down town to go to montecito. Hopefully never have to use this "service"ever again. read more

Disgusting customer service, if you can even call it that. Roadside assistance contacted this company on my behalf, so it's not like this started out bad with a repo or anything like that. They showed up in a decent timeframe, that wasn't the problem. The problem started when they saw my husband and me(the gays) or later to be muttered under Martin's breath, "fags"! My vehicle wasn't taken to the intended location and was not able to be found by anyone, Martin wasn't answering his phone, and when he did answer, gave the wrong address of the place he actually did take it to. After being given the run around I sought out to find my vehicle calling shops throughout Santa Barbara and Goleta finally locating it. The shop it got dropped off to 1. Didn't have the parts needed 2. Informed me the vehicle just "showed up" 3. Tow driver (Martin) just unhooked the vehicle and drove away. 4. I had already started placid the order and dropped off the keys to the intended shop (to which I canceled and just had the work done at the location it was wrongfully delivered) I talked with several people at sb towing -Martin (a driver who didn't know how to do his job or customer service) -Gabby (the secretary, who when she didn't know what to do claimed to be the "supervisor" "manager" then the "owner" -Frank the real owner, I got a hold of the day after (and surprise didn't know any of the happenings of the day prior) he defended his employees like any manager would, while apologizing. This could have all been a misunderstanding But from the beginning comments and actions it felt like discrimination due to our sexual orientation, leading to theft and vehicle abandonment. read more

They were prompt, they were very polite, and I would certainly choose to use them again. I can't tell by looking at my receipt who the driver was but he was very friendly and took care of my car. Do not buy a car from these people! I purchased a Moped / trail bike from these guys on 27 Dec 2013 and at the time the owner of Santa Barbara towing was the person I was dealing with. He told me the bike ran great but that the battery was dead and that he had just ordered a new one for it that morning so if I wanted to buy the bike he would send me the battery once it arrived at his shop. He then told me that the battery cover was missing as well, but that it was on the bike when he got it so he would find it and he would get it and the battery to me in a week....What he did not tell me was that since it had been sitting in his tow yard with expired registration the $350.00 moped I bought from him was going to cost me $450.00 to register through the DMV and he knew this. Here we are on 20 Jan 2014 and not only has this guy not followed through with his promise of replacing the battery but when questioned via text about it twice now he does not respond....His word is worthless so don't trust him! read more

3 months ago my car broke down while traveling from New Mexico to Santa cruz ,Ca. Santa Barbara towing towed my car and told me I needed my clutch replaced. I took a bus and left my car with them to be fixed.They were very "polite and friendly" but that's as far as I'll go. Today my car broke down again. You guessed it,the clutch. After my mechanic broke it all down,he let me know how bad these people had ripped me off. Missing bolts,the clutch in shreds,my flywheel so scared it was trash. They told me there was no way they had done the work I was charged for. When I called I got an answering machine and no one yet has contacted me. No wonder the public has a hard time with mechanics. On 1/27/15 we contacted SB Towing; our car wouldn't start. They said it would take a 1/2 hour to get to us. It took 10 minutes! The tow truck driver got the car started and discovered the battery terminals were the problem. He said he would follow us to the shop to have it inspected. We said no thanks; not necessary. Once we were at the shop, the tow truck driver called to make sure we made it to the shop OK!!!! That is Four Seasons Hotel type service!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Worst customer service. Lady on the phone was very unhelpful. I was told by the extended warranty company that SB towing could come 3 hours from my initial call because all the local towing companies were busy and SB Towing didn't show up until 5 1/2 hours after my initial call. I asked the lady from SB Towing to call the tow truck driver and see if they were on their way after being an hour late and she said she would and give me a call back. She never called me back. I called at the first and second hour they were late and the lady who answered kept telling me the "driver was on their way", they "are stuck in traffic" and "they should be there any minute". It took them an hour to show up after she said they would be there "any minute". The only reason I used this company is because it was the company provided to me by my extended warranty. I called the extended warranty company and the lady from SB Towing gave them the same excuses. I've seen other reviews of this company that mimic the same situation. I've never written a review on Yelp, but I had to warn the public not to use SB Towing unless you like waiting for hours and unhelpful people. read more
