I spent so much money in this store, but when I visited last time to buy gifts for my friends, ( I bought 3 each few items) they just put everything together in one bag and told me 2nd , 3rd bags are charged (just small paper bag ). Never ever happened like that before. Besides using cheap plastic bag .. it's looks grocery store kinds. I told other Sanrio owner (who knows me well )about it and she hardly believe it . So I took photo of the plastic bag which Arcadia store is using for customers and showed her . She was totally surprised also shocked. Last visit was NO trinkets. Only 2 part time employees are there. They look like still high school students , besides never say thank you to me. Well , I spent 3digits tho. They carry a lot of great items, but I don't wanna buy anymore in this store. Maybe owner was not there my last visit, that's why..... No matter what , they should do better customer service !! A lot of Sanrio stores are closed and they don't use Sanrio bag anymore. started use cheap bags ..besides some stores are selling Disney, Totoro , Pokemon etc lol. They should change the name from Sanrio Surprise to others. Yup it's really surprise ... grocery plastic bags they are using for customers lol. I only stop by when I go to Hello Kitty Mini Cafe , but don't wanna spend so much money in this store anymore. read more

I love this Sanrio store! The customer service here is always amazing and it's very easy to find someone to ask for help. I like how their ig is very active so I can just look at the items they have to offer without driving to the mall to look. Also, they are willing to place items on hold if you ask on their ig! Their no food or drinks policy is strict so remember to go to the cashier and place your items there or an employee will kindly ask you to do so. read more

This is the BEST Sanrio store ever. It's a little far for me but worth the drive. I came to pick up the kittypatra and the sales girls were so nice and patient with me. I had to look at several boxes before finding the perfect one. This store has an amazing assortment of hello kitty items and other characters too. I will definitely be come back here to shop again. Been here through out the years and it's usually good to excellent on the customer service. They've helped me out on presents for friends... Watching a 6ft big mixed guy freak out in hk ville is always entertaining. I was greeted today and for some reason I thought the asian woman that greeted me was going to watch me throughout the store. She didn't, she was very cool. Oh they have my little ponies or something like it there (don't judge me, I have niece's. Gotta maintain being the cool uncle). I would say while they have some unique stuff its mostly Lil girliesh where as the site has stuff for women etc (The girl I'm with likes hk... sue me. She's asian... show me love). First time here from bay area; At least 2~3 staff said hi to me. They have ju ju be tokidoki collab stuff. (In fact i bought the animali pod few days ago online). Small. Sanrio was cooler back when they had pochacco and pekkle and badtz maru and so many other characters. Now they have a bunch of Hello Kitty in all different forms and some characters that i dont think are even Sanrio characters. Sad sad sad. I used to love Sanrio! Oh well. One of my favorites Sanrio stores in the area! They are super active on instagram and almost immediately post their new items. I love that they give their followers plenty of updates! I've reached out to them via instagram to hold items or inquire about holds and maybe 80% of the time I would get a response but the other 20% I wouldn't get a response and it gets a little frustrating. I know how quickly items can get sold out so I think if they are allowing us to contact them via instagram for items, they should be able to respond and honor our requests! Especially since I often call in to pay ahead of time to secure my items. The in-person shopping experience is fantastical! The workers are all very friendly and helpful. They don't hover while you shop and are readily available for help. They have some many followers on Instagram that their items get sold out so fast. Their store is just great because they are not stingy with stamps. I believe they still give them to you for sale items and best of all, they give you trinket with purchase of more than $20 and sometimes, they'll even let you pick which one you would like! Whenever I come to the Arcadia mall, I have to come here! It's pink and cuteness overload at it's finest. I haven't had the same experiences as other people, as far as rude workers go. They've always been nice and smiley to me whenever I've gone in and they always greet me as soon as I walk in. The store is always well organized and clean, which I appreciate. It smells good too-something about all that plastic in such a small area, seems really nice to me. Things I don't like---it's small and cramped. My husband is in a wheelchair and I'd love for him to be able to come in, but the two times that he's come with me, he hasn't been able to go inside the store. 1. because it's so cramped together and 2. because it always seems crowded. Seriously, this place gets packed, especially on the weekends, I usually end up leaving with nothing and un-happy whenever I come on the weekends. Weekday nights are okay, I can actually look at things for as long as I want. The other thing I don't care for is the prices. Seriously for cheap plastic little bits that are going to break in a short time, I don't want to pay premium prices. Nothing is cheap here or even worth the price that there selling for. I went to go buy a water bottle there, because who wouldn't want a water bottle with cute sanrio characters? The prices ranged from $13-15 for a blinking water bottle! Needless to say, I left without my bottle. Another time I took my niece there for a shopping trip. She got a lollipop, 2 pens an eraser and a stuffed animal for about $40. Not many things for that much money. I'll still come back to glance at the pretty things, but I probably won't be buying much there again. read more

I AM A FAITHFUL HELLO KITTY LOVER. The five-stars are probably given with a bias though, since I am such a Hello Kitty fanatic. PROS: This store carries almost everything that is offered on the Sanrio website, and inventory even beyond! The huge windows are always SO clean! The store is reallyreallyreally organized. There are some really helpful workers there, and they're really good with helping you find the perfect gift for someone, or helping you find what you need. CONS: You have to leave your food/drinks behind the counter. :( But it's for the sake of keeping the store clean. There is a really rude worker there... Oh dear, if you hate your job that much, there are many high schoolers vying for a part-time job that would be much more excited to work at Sanrio than you are. read more

The first time I came here I thought I had died and gone to Hello Kitty heaven!!! They have some of the best selections of hello kitty! The girls that work there and nice and are always roaming around the store! EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! The girls in the store after close, were the sweetest angels in the entire world!! They made my night!!! Stayed open a little after close and allowed me to purchase my collectible figurine for a Tokidoki signing event that is tomorrow morning. This Sanrio store has the best selection of any of the Sanrio stores I've been to. A lot of the inventory here is just not available where I'm at. They have a lot of the Japanese import stuff and more characters overall, and more "Sanrio originals" stuff. Worth the drive if you're into all things Sanrio. Walking around this store reminded me of why I loved Sanrio as a child. read more

The worse workers in any store that I've been into. A bunch of Asian girls working here, pretending to be Japanese, with no greeting, no people skills, and no maturity. I came here because my kid wanted to buy an item for her friend's birthday. Bought an expensive item, and no "thank you for shoppping here". It's like they don't talk, but I hear that they do speak perfect English to you, only if you're Caucasian. This place has poor customer service and horrid business practices. Went in, and sales clerk/cashier was so ill mannered. Instead of welcoming me, she wanted to take away my drink(wich had a closed lid)and put it behind a counter. They should post policies in door. Horrendous business practice, shady, and I'll mannered. I have two girls who are crazy about hello kitty, so I shop a lot in Sanrio. Last week, two girls had their last day in school, so I took them to this Sanrio to buy something for them. They picked out some candies, color books, so my total amount is about 19 dollars. I asked the cashier(asian lady with glasses who had been put her eyes on everybody shop in the store) to put them in two different bags and she told me she could only use one Sanrio paper bag(which has all the characters printed on it), if I want to add one bag, I need to pay 10 dollars! She said it's the company policy because Sanrio doesn't make gift bags anymore. My god, I have been shopping in Sanrio for 5 years and you asked me to pay 10 dollars for an extra bag? Never shop here again for this kind of unreasonable policy and unfriendly service! read more

Petty and stingy would be my discription of the staff (perhaps the owner) of this store. I visited this store to purchase Hello Kitty for a school auction. Most of the time, the sales associates didn't bother me much. When I went to ring up my purchase, the sales associate (new) was pretty nice and converted my stamp cards to the new ones. She made a mistake and converted them one to one. This resulted in me getting a $5 discount. She then completed the whole transaction. That's when the older asian lady came over (I am guess that she is the manager). She came to scrutinize her work after everything was already done. Complained about my service cards being old (even though they don't have expiration dates). She proceeded to redoing the stamps, voiding my transaction, refunding my credit card, removing the discount and charging my purchases. I really can't believe how stingy she was. These service cards don't even save the customer much ($5 is what you get after spending over $150, that's only 3%). If she left the transaction where it was and noted that it was their mistake, I would have more than likely returned to the store for future purchases. Instead, I most likely will take my business elsewhere. Actually, the Temple City Sanrio Store is much friendlier and have a lot of stuff too! read more
