We ordered a pizza and two calzones online. The order was ready in the exact amount of time we were given for pick up. They were cooked perfectly and were delicious. We will definitely be ordering from them again, and may even dine in. read more

I love to support this locally owned and operated pizza option. There are multiple locations throughout the Greater Birmingham region. No surprises with comfortable setup and familiar pizza shop ambiance. Reliable service and quality, But, I'm really excited about the Chicken Tikka Masala pizza that I tried this week. Kudos to Sanpeggio's for offering this unique fusion of a popular Indian dish on a pizza. It seems risky to try, but I thought is was fantastic. If you like Tikki Masala I think you will love it too. read more

Get a Domino's pizza or any in the grocer's frozen food section. The pizza was lukewarm upon arrival at the counter although I ordered it on time. The dough was spongey, the sauce flavorless. An irritated customer was complaining about getting the wrong pizza and the atmosphere was permeated with the smell of an industrial cleaner. No thanks SanPeggio! Oh yeah, the order was taken by an AI bot that they had paid much more attention to perfecting than they did the pizza. read more

Im upset bc they new owners changed everything that made the pizzas flipping awesome. I wish they would of left it the ingredients alone.. bc omg the sauce, the cheese, pepperoni and the crush were all fucking amazing but not anymore read more

It may have been an off night when I ordered or the worst employee was working but it was like 830 on Tuesday night. I ordered a personal pizza which is OK but burnt. I had one pepper ring on each slice that's a dollar extra for four pepper rings, four slices of banana pepper that's a dollar extra like if you had sausage it's a dollar etc. I ordered lasagna which is in a foil to go bowl is burnt all the way around the edges. It was OK and I ordered a meatball sub there's nothing better than a properly made meatball or a sub that's made with brain cells. Let me explain. For anybody that ever goes to make a meatball sub you don't put sauce on the bread before you put the meatballs and you don't put the meatballs on with sauce in the spoon. OK here's why especially because they baked it until the bun was burnt, you put the meatballs on the sub with almost no sauce , then you take your spoon and you put a little bit of sauce on top of the meatballs because we're not eating a bowl of pasta here. This is a sandwich then you put your cheese on there and then you bake it. What happens when you do it the wrong way, and you scoop the sauce with the meatball or put sauce on before the meatball after boat five minutes soaks through the bottom of the sub so when you pick it up, everything blows through the bottom of It, the other reason that happens is because they leave them in meatballs hole. I don't understand why you wouldn't cut them in half the round so when you bite one end of the sub, do you want to shoot out the end of the meatball sub cause a meatball the key word is ball round on top of that the meatballs Were probably the most firm meatballs I've ever had in my life not sure how they make them but I could taste Italian sausage in the meatball and I think I took two bites. So I use Uber eats so for $58. I got a six or 7 inch pizza That I think I ate a little over half of the lasagna had about half of a meatball sub. I think I had two bites if I knew it was coming for all three of those things it wouldn't be worth more than $15 I think they think they're better than they are either that or it was a bad employee which I hope it was those meatballs that's the meatball they use they probably make them, they're horrible read more

Great pizza! Let me say it again, really great pizza! We've been in the Birmingham area for 4 years and have had a hard time trying to find good pizza that doesn't come from a franchise chain. Fresh ingredients, homemade sauce and a fluffy, crispy crust. We love the variety of pizzas that they offer. I can't say that I have a favorite since I have yet to have a specialty pizza that we didn't love. The flavor combinations are that good! I do want to try their calzones as they look amazing when they're coming out of their oven. They also have salads, subs, wings, and cheese bread. read more

When I walked in Brian at the front was rude and inappropriate to other staff and customers. He was dropping the F bomb around children sitting at the table behind me. He was watching TV while other staff members were in the back prepping food. He stepped out for several minutes at a time to smoke at least 5 times within 30 minutes. Overall good experience thought. The food was really good. read more

Love Love Love this place ! Every time I come into town I have to have it before I leave ! Pizza is super tasty and always fresh. This location and the one in downtown Homewood ! Great customer service ! read more

Sanpeggio's Pizza - 14' half supreme, half pepperoni/beef - Pizza Near Me - Birmingham, Alabama

No Sauce Not fully cooked dough Scarce on the pepperoni and bacon. I would of rather went to Chuck E Cheese which I originally planned on. I came across Sanpeggios and remembered how much I used to enjoy the food. The location on 150 closed down and I don't see this one having a bright future either. Spend some time teaching staff how to greet customers and prepare food. If your going to go scarce on toppings just buy cheap pepperoni or at least spread it out more on the pizza. My rating is a 1/10 not 1/5 read more

Ordered two calzones on Friday night. I was told 35-40 minutes. Arrived at the store after 40 minutes & was told it would be ready soon. After 10 minutes I was looking in the oven and there were no calzones cooking. When I asked, was told they had not been made yet because they were busy. I could see 3 people meandering back in the prep area with no sense or urgency. They were moving like deli employees at Sam's Club. Canceled my order and left. Should have been informed upon arrival that my 40+ minute old order had not been made yet. read more

The crust is the best! Sauce is wonderful, and all topping are great! Love this pizza! Crave it!

Grabbed a personal size pizza while I was working, and it was delicious. I'm on the road a lot and usually have to settle for slices that have been sitting out for awhile. They cook it fresh with quality ingredients. The guy working was kind and remember my call in order and had me set when I arrived. I'll be going back for sure. read more

Solid pizza offering with massive salads for the price. No char on bottom like more traditional Neapolitan, but good dough and crust and nice tang to sauce. Odd thing to really call out, but they have the best Ranch dressing ever. read more

Great pizza and great people here! It would be good if the folks would wear their masks properly at least when ringing folks up, but I do understand that it is hot and I wish this whole d**n pandemic was over too so I'm not docking stars for that anymore. Take care, y'all! read more

I was skeptical of going to Sanpeggio's due to the mixed reviews but it was good! My wife and I enjoyed the cheese pizza. It tasted fresh and homemade. Very cheesy with soft crust and good sauce. We'll be back. read more

Sanpeggio's Pizza - Large Cheese Pizza - Pizza Near Me - Birmingham, Alabama

Super friendly staff, great prices, and good food. It's great to have a quality pizza place I can order a calzone for under $7. They make everything quickly and efficiently. The dining area isn't very large making it a good option for Pickup orders. I haven't tried the pizza yet, but it looks good as well. read more

Sanpeggio's Pizza - Build your own calzone for under $7 - Pizza Near Me - Birmingham, Alabama

We have ordered and eaten at Sanpeggios on Valleydale for years. It was always the best pizza, everything. Something has changed. The Italian subs have always been great. But suddenly the Italian subs are half the size. We ordered three large pizzas last Saturday June 11, 2022. We were so disappointed. They were all over cooked. The cheese was hard and the were very little of the toppings that were asked for. So what's happened Sanpeggios? Old Sanpeggios please come back. read more

Love love love the Greek Salad. Asked for extras toppings and they wholeheartedly obliged. Friendly service, will be back.

This place is so good! I used to eat a Sanpeggios growing up and hadn't been back in a couple of years and when I decided to go back and try it, it became my go to pizza place. Fresh pizza or calzones if you are wanting something different, they are both great! Always hot and ready when I pick it up and ready fairly quick.Dine in, call in or even order online which ever is easier for you and it is so convenient. read more

Hadn't tried Sanpeggio's in years. Now I remember why. Ordered a supreme pizza. It was dry because there was hardly any sauce, the toppings were skimpy, and the crust was blah. read more

It never disappoints. From the salad to the pizza to the pasta. The Greek dressing is outstanding...best I've ever had. Service has always been great. It's one of my go tos when I don't want to cook read more

I have been a customer of Sanpeggio's on Valleydale for many years. Recently, there was an ownership change. The quality of the food and service has declined precipitously. For years the food was great and the service was cordial and efficient. Since the change, the portions are smaller and the food is prepared poorly. The subs are smaller, pizza is overcooked, and the employees have obviously not been adequately trained. It is sad to see such a dramatic decline, read more

My family and I visited the new South side location today and it did not disappoint! Everything was fresh made to order and the kids got a kick out of being able to watch their orders be made right in front of them. The portions were more than enough and the Greek salad was especially good! My only hang up has nothing to do with the food or service but rather the facility. No restroom for patrons to wash our hands. The restaurant did have sanitizer on hand, but nothing compares to good ole soap and water. Will definitely be back! read more

Friendly staff. We have not visited for several years. We had the lasagna and a pepperoni pizza. The lasagna was small for $7+ and unimpressive with tasteless sauce. The pizza too was just average. It is a shame as this could be a great place. I am sure they get a great deal of advice from people like me. But, if they could clean the place up, add a few TVs, improve the quality of the food and beer and wine, this would be a great neighborhood hangout. read more

Never had their pizza. They do have the best lasagna I have ever eaten. The Yelp morons want a longer review. How's this snowflakes?

Calzone was trash. Nothing like it used to be.Do not expect quality food when order at typical dinner hours. I called the restaurant to inform and they seemed to not care. read more

They have great pizza and pastas that reminds you of a restaurant rather than a dominos wannabe. However, every delivery they put the pizza in the cardboard box without wax paper so your pizza taste worse than a wet cardboard box....everyone knows thats why you use the wax paper under a pizza in a card board box, omg! Taste horrid, do not get delivery! read more

Excellent service and friendly staff. The prices are good and the lunch buffet is unbeatable. They will make any pizza you ask for during the lunch time buffet. Their calzone is very filling and ingredients are fresh. I've never had a bad experience. The pizzas are good. The dining area is a bit small so take out usually best. read more

I was the only dine in customer; no phone in orders to my knowledge. Why does it take 23 minutes to reheat spaghetti? I don't even know why I even continue to patronize this establishment other than work proximity. read more

Nope. Tried it several times a few years ago and never went back. Average pizza, prices too high. Do yourself a favor and just get Dominos down the street or try Papa Murphy's u-bake across the street. Frankly don't see how they stay in biz, perhaps their other store income supports this one. That and there's tons of kids around this area. read more

Can't beat Sanpeggio's! Alfredo pizza/pasta, pesto pizza, calzones, Italian sub just a couple of my favorites

Super great pizza place! My friend and I both got a personal size pizza for less than $5 each and they cooked it fresh when we ordered!!

I really like this pizza place, I'm a little shocked at the bad reviews on here. The pizza tastes great, not greasy, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality pizza you get. I also love their breadsticks! read more

A family favorite that always delivers a slice of deliciousness. We often enjoy the affordable made to order buffet. Warm and fresh mouth watering pizza. It is a must visit for all of our friends and out of town guests. read more

Need to cook pizza and calzone longer. Dough was mush... To expensive for this..... Had had before it was, OK.... Going downhill.

Delicious food in a bright friendly atmosphere. If you are looking for a wood-fired pie with a glass of wine, this is NOT the place...But, if you want a convenient, great tasting meal from a locally owned business, you cannot beat Sanpeggio's. I prefer light tasting food so I get the veggie pizza or the Greek salad. Both are very fresh tasting and the pizza crust is perfect! read more
