This is my left overs well worth it!
    Leilani R.

Great tasting food (butter chicken in medium is not spicy at all so beginners go ahead and order this one) they actually use ghee for the naan here 10/10 crispy and comes in two halves. I ate it all so no photos there. This photo is after I ate a proper two servings- left overs for lunch yay!

We came as a group of 4 for lunch and to our surprise, it was buffet only. They have beer as part of the buffet and the food is delicious, flavorful and they have so many options. The restaurant was packed by the time we grabbed our first plate. As a spice intolerant person, I had a hard time eating most of the food. However, I did find some solace in the signficantly less spicy food so I largely indulged in the butter chicken, white rice and naan. We also had some mango lassi and it was refreshing~ This place is a huge bang for your buck but will be more mindful about the nonspicy options in the future.

Konaseema chicken fry: really good. Quantity is on the lower side.

I have never been to the restaurant, however I have gotten food from them through the grocery store. Namaste, India in Ardenwood area . I have got few items from there : Konaseema chicken fry: really good. Quantity is on the lower side. As advertised on the spicier side Paneer dum biryani: not flavorful and not good. Mixed it with above chicken. Nawabi goat biryani: clearly good. The goat was roasted deeply and was flavorful this item as it claims to be extra spicy. I don't think it was as spicy as the about chicken fry, but still worthwhile getting it on a repeated basis. Gongura mutton biryani: this was just really spicy (lot more than typical extra spicy) and did not have the tanginess of gongura. Certainly disappointed with this dish

this might be the most flavorful butter chicken i've ever had. have i had many butter chickens? no. is this markedly better than any other i've ever tried? yes. owner was nice and also offered me some free chai as i waited for my food (kitchen was backed up). i also heard him asking his kitchen staff about my order to ensure they were making it.

Vijayawada Chicken Biryani(Medium to less Spicy)

Fantastic place in Sunnyvale. Super well known for their biryani and it did not disappoint! We tried the Vijayawada chicken biryani and the Chicken 65 appetizer. These were recommended to us by the knowledgeable staff as the less spicy / medium spicy options. The food came out piping hot and was definitely made fresh for us. We personally loved both items and will definitely be back to try other dishes too. The biryani comes with a yogurt raita, which really enhances the dish. The spices are just right and really flavorful. I highly recommend! The ambiance is pretty basic. You aren't really coming for the ambiance. You're coming for the food! Each table has 2-4 stainless steel glasses as drinking cups. To go boxes are available on a table next to the water dispenser. Very easily accessible for leftovers. Overall we loved the food. Definitely check it out. We plan to order takeout next time!

The food was so delicious and excited to go back and try the rest of the menu! The service was quick and there weren't too many people that day. The vibe is very much a no-frills Indian restaurant but the owner was super nice to us and we will definitely be back. We ordered the chicken dum biryani and the gongura pappu. I was absolutely floored by the gongura pappu which I didn't expect out of a vegetarian dish. It had the perfect level of heat and acidity. If you can't handle spice then this dish may not be for you. The biryani was also very good and made dum-style. 10/10 would recommend!

Sankrati was one of the best I've been to in the South Bay! I went on a Wednesday night and luckily there was no wait so we were seated immediately. The menu had a great variety of items which was nice for people who are always looking to try familiar and new Indian items. My friends and I ordered the naan tray, butter chicken, chicken tikka masa, myosoor banda, chicken biryani, & trinon vegetable biryani. What we ordered can easily feed 6 people so my group of 4 definitely over ordered. I also ordered a mango lassi and that was definitely fresh and refreshing for a hot summer day. My favorite item had to be the butter chicken since it was so flavorful and so smooth to taste; might I even say it's the best butter chicken I tried! The chicken biryani was also very flavorful and I loved the yogurt sauce that it came with. The trinon non vegetable biryani was yummy but it was spicier than the chicken biryani so if you love spice, this ones for you. They did forget about one of our dishes and it even made me forget that we ordered a second biryani but other than that, great Indian food for a solid price.

    Chicken Chettinad
    Passportof A.

I was utterly disappointed by the chicken chettinad. It was yellow gravy which was sweet. I've had chicken chettinad at multiple places and this is now how it looks. I was disappointed as I had ordered on the phone and so got to see the food only once I reached home. It seems like they just gave me some leftover curry as it was close to restaurant closing time. Don't recommend this place as they have served subpar food

Selection of sweets: gulab jamun, double ka meeti, boondi laddu

Best Indian food I've had in a very, very long time. Reminds of an Andhra restaurant that I used to go to with my friend's family in Chicago. The food was perfectly cooked, very well spiced. The spicy dishes were hot without being overwhelming. Textures were perfect. The only iddli I've had that compared were freshly made by my friend's aunt--I've never had iddli this good in a restaurant and certainly never this good from a buffet. Best gulab jamun I've ever had, bar none. My friend said he was completely full after sampling only of the items in the buffet, but when he had a bite of the gulab jamun (and the boondi laddu, a sweet made of little balls of fried chickpea dough, nuts, and syrup), he had to have seconds on the desserts. The buffet is incredibly extensive and definitely focuses more on classic South Indian dishes. There's a huge selection of vegetarian and vegan options, including various dals, and several South Indian porridge-like options. There are also many meat, chicken, and fish dishes, at least two biryanis, both fried and tandoori breads, and a heating dish full of small dosas. There was a platter of mini samosas with chaat. The mini samosas were a great idea because they're so tasty but you wouldn't want to fill up on a full-size samosa with so many other items to taste. I loved the chaat--hadn't seen that on a buffet in a long time. There were four different dessert options; based on the reviews, it sounds like these rotate week to week. I'm taking off one star for two reasons: the posted hours online say they're open from 10:00 but when we got there around 11:15, thinking we were going to have to stand in line, they were still setting up. I would advise calling to check when the buffet opens. The corollary of this however is that at 11:30, everything was perfectly fresh. The other minor quibble is that plates were of a nice melamine (I think) but bowls, coffee cups, etc were paper and utensils were plastic. Perhaps this is part of how they keep the costs down. I should mention that the price is ridiculously reasonable when you consider the quality and variety of the food. I'd give 4 1/2 stars if I could. I wish I lived closer so I could come back more often. Seriously the best Indian buffet I've ever had, and makes me miss living in Chicago and going out with my friend's family to Telegu restaurants on Devon St.

When we arrived, the place was empty, but it began to fill up after we were seated. A kind young man showed us to a table and brought us menus and some water. It's beautiful inside. It's a long and narrow space and they have plenty of seating options for small and large groups. The chairs are covered in soft colorful velvet. They were very comfortable to sit in. There is a beautiful painting of a young woman wearing traditional clothing. There is a full bar with seating at the counter. The chandeliers are gorgeous and I loved the colorful umbrellas hanging upside down from the ceiling. Our waiter, Shreeshant, was beyond friendly. He was so kind and attentive to our needs. He gave us some recommendations for appetizers, which I really appreciated. We ordered the Chicken Tandoori Momo's (6 per order), per his recommendation. We also ordered the veggie samosas (2 per order). For our mains we ordered the Dum Biryani with shrimp, chicken korma, eggplant curry and butter naan. I really loved that you can customize your heat level with all the main dishes. We ordered all our dishes mild spice. First to come out was the Chicken Tandoori Momos and the veggie samosa. The momos came out sizzling on a cast iron skillet with onions and peppers underneath them. These came with a mild sauce to accompany them. The samosas came with three different sauces. The sauces were tamarind, mint and a spicy sauce. My favorite was the chicken momos. They were so flavorful from the inside to the outside. They have a tandoori flavor on the exterior and the sauce that it came with paired well with it. The samosas were also very good. I liked the mint sauce best, with the samosas. My husband liked the spicy sauce. I would definitely order both of these again. Next our main dishes came out. They also gave us some plain basmati rice with our food. The dum biryani with shrimp was so good. It's a very large portion. The shrimp were delicious. The chicken korma was creamy and rich from the pureed cashews. It went great with the naan. The eggplant curry was the most mild out of all the dishes. There were three cooked baby eggplants in a coconut curry sauce. I would say the sauce had more of a coconut flavor that stood out. It was good. The naan went well with everything really. We couldn't finish all that we ordered. We were given takeout boxes for our leftovers. We will be eating very good again with these leftovers. I really love their menu here. It's extensive with many different offerings. A big thank you to the staff for their excellent hospitality. We look forward to returning for more meals.

It was also very thin. The garlic naan didn't have fresh garlic, it seemed to be the pre-minced garlic preserved in lemon juice that you can buy in bulk, and it was burnt on top of the bread. I'm thinking they take frozen naan, spread the preserved minced garlic on top, and throw it on a grill to char it. The flavor of the curries was good, but they were extremely greasy. So greasy that when I tried to scoop some up with the naan, it all slipped off and just left the grease on the bread lol. The paneer pakora was pretty good, crispy, and came with a delicious sauce (a chutney of some sort I think). The mix pakora was soggy and flavorless, and we ended up throwing it out. The price for food at this place is on par with or more expensive than other similar restaurants in the area, but the food quality is poor. Hopefully they improve, but for now I'd say skip it.
