They say it will be picked up that day. But it's not. I call again. Customer service says they have no control over dispatch and it will be picked up a week late. Finally cancelled my service after many years. The driver constantly left debris in my driveway or would not completely empty the cans. During any weather delays, they would tell us to leave our cans out but would never come and then just tell us to wait until the next pick up as the trash piles up. Customer service reps are rude and after finding out that they are no longer locally owned, I made the switch to Lane Apex. We have choices! See ya, Sanipac!!! read more

After I had received 4 years of service, Sanipac missed the last two weeks of trash pick-up and has decided to stop serving my whole street. According to the "Customer Service Representative" that reached out to me this was done because the leaves on the roadway create a safety hazard and the truck driver feel safe. While I understand safety issues, and do not want anyone in an unsafe situation, leaves aren't new they have been happening and falling for a long time. Sanipac has been servicing this area for many, many years and hasn't had an issue until last week. The other two trash companies in town, Lane Apex and Royal Refuse, have not missed any pickups. For years, I never interacted with Sanipac, and it was fine. Now, when there is an issue, I find a lack of customer service. I am sorry for folks who don't have any other choice than Sanipac. For those of you who do have a choice, heed the reviews here that go back for over a decade and choose a local company that might actually care about you and removing your rubbish. read more

Absolutely worst trash company, I've done business with. I only stayed with the company for 2 months within that time they never pickup my recycling. When I called to cancel they said they would take everything. But no they only took the cans and what was in the cans and left the pile of recycling that I had nicely stacked next to the cans because, like I said it hadn't been pickup for TWO months. read more

There was a mix up with addresses and Sanipac took my trash and recycling bins instead of taking the bins from the correct address. When speaking to customer service, they were rude and dismissive, not interested in correcting the mistake. read more

Sanipac has a long litany of very picky rules. The quality of their service and drivers is very poor and they are unreliable. They are much more expensive than trash pickup in most areas. It's a terrible value. Just pick up the trash and do your job. read more

Sanipac charged me every bill at least $16 or more because my trash can was not complete it closed. The driver never has to get out of the vehicle so it doesn't cost them any extra time or manpower. They don't tell you this when you sign up and when asked about it, that said it's in their contract with the City but I'm in the unincorporated area and a private customer. They also said Apex charges for it too but Apex only charges if it's over a 45 degree which is reasonable to me. It is just a way for Sanipac to make extra money at the expense of good customer service. They have lost my business. read more

I live in downtown eugene and three times a week i have to deal with sanipac drivers blowing their airhorn to back up .. at 7:30 a.m. The driver loves to blow goofy little tunes with his airhorn in between the Florence apartments and 13th and olive apartments usually wednesday morning at about 7. every time i see those trucks i see 2 people. if you are that insecure about your reverse skills then get your lazy passenger to back you up. no matter how many times you blow your airhorn in reverse, you are still the one backing up and if someone hits you, it is still your fault regardless of you blowing your horn to spite the residents of Florence and 13th and Olive, its still your fault. read more

I've been with Sanipac for well over 25 years and in those years I can't tell you how many times they don't pick up my yard debris or recycling. I then have to call only to be told I'm not sure why you were missed and I'm sorry. This time I'm done!! I'm canceling my service with them today...there's no reason why they should miss my pickups...so frustrating, and they don't care. Not to mention charging me a $5 fee because my lid to my garage can was open a crack. read more

6 months of service and they have never emptied my cans completely. The bottoms have been full with the same stuff i put out on week one. I know your jobs are extremely difficult to perform but if you took the time to just lift the cans ALL THE WAY up. Then they would empty completely. And i wouldnt have to switch services. I live in an apartment complex in the middle of a neighborhood on West 11th and South Bertelsen and I have to practically fight over space in the dumpster for my trash because my neighbors will fill it to heaping full before I get a chance to put mine out. This is also because the side of the complex I live on does not have a wide enough dumpster for bigger trash to go into (it fits little waste paper basket and paper shredder bin trash but anything bigger, you're SOL) Sanipac needs to find a way to accommodate the needs of those of us who are living in apartments and Student housing so that some of us don't have to wait for our turn to take out the garbage. read more

It's unbelievable how often Sanipac forgets to pick up my trash/recycling. I even started calling specifically to let them know I'd put my bins out and would they please remind the driver to pick them up...and even that didn't work! (Though somehow they never have any trouble collecting my payment.) Today is Day #3 of waiting for my glass recycling to be picked up, every day I call, and every day they say "Someone'll be out to pick it up!" They always ask a bunch of troubleshooting questions, aimed at proving their drivers blameless ("Did you have the bins out at the street by 7am? Were the lids closed? Were they visible from the street?") and insist on reconfirming my contact information. All that plus waiting on hold to even get to that point means 10-15 minutes wasted every time I put the trash out. Ironically, when I got home today, there was a Sanipac truck in the middle of the road blocking my house, engine idling, and the driver, out stretching on the road beside the truck, lazily waved me on, even though there was about 6" clearance on either side of the truck. But no, he wasn't there to pick up my glass recycling. After years of trying to work with them, I'm finally giving up and cancelling my "service" (or lack thereof). Walking to the landfill would be easier than trying to get this company to show up on schedule. read more

I signed up for this service about a week ago at my new residence just outside Springfield. Spent 20 minutes on the phone with the rep discussing options, recycling, and pricing. Was told my new bins would be delivered yesterday. When the bins didn't arrive, I called to find out why and was told that they don't pick up at my new residence. No call from anyone. Nothing. Not cool. :/ How can their reps NOT know where they do and do not offer service? I'd say some additional training is appropriate on confirming/double checking details and basic customer service. read more

I live in a senior village and it has a commercial account with Sanipac. I also have multiple disabilities and have an arrangement with Sanipac that they are to make a reasonable accommodation with them (Federal Law) of coming up the driveway and getting, emptying, and returning my containers. They almost always do the grey bin (garbage) as agreed. They frequently neglect to pick up, empty, and return the blue bin for glass/recycle items and have to call. Sometimes they send someone out to get the blue bin (after I have called) and sometimes they say they can't and I have an overflowing blue bin for two weeks. Each time their excuse is the same. They say that they hired a new employee for this route. MY QUESTION IS "WHY DON'T THEY INSTRUCT THEIR NEW EMPLOYEES FULLY AFTER HIRING THEM AND BEFORE PUTTING THEM TO WORK??" Some of their employees are terrifically nice, by the way. Others can't seem to find my driveway and empty the blue bin, or their management can't seem to find time to TRAIN employees before putting them to work. read more

I'm not sure how you managed with the paving on Hunter rd, the boat, basketball hoop and all the cars....You are so much appreciated, thank you! Our service fee jumped to $111.00 for 3 months of service when we moved and weren't told there would be a price increase. We have a Springfield address but are considered living outside the city limits. Sanipac has a lock on the area so using another service is out the out of the question. read more

Sanipac purchased our route from Star Garbage over a year ago. We are not impressed. Right after they took over, we noticed they were dumping the recycle can into the garbage truck along with the garbage. When we called and asked why, they claimed that they dump it out and separate it later. Ha Ha. After awhile, they announced that they no longer recycle in our area. Last week we put out an extra can of trash using our own roll cart. They driver dumped it in the truck as I stood there and the can slipped out of the jaws and fell into the truck. He said he did not want to climb up in the truck and get the can out so he would bring me a new can to replace it. So after a week and no replacement can, we called them today and they told us that they are not responsible for personal cans. So we are out of luck. Not impressed. read more

This company went way downhill after they were taken over by a California corporation. They constantly missed our garbage and recycling, often left messes and made excuses as to why they did not pick up our recycling by claiming it contained trash when that was not the case, did not pick up when they promised to take care of it after missing us - they went so far as to claim on more than one occasion that we did not have out cans out in time, even though they were set out the night before. I'd finally had enough of their lousy service and nonsense and switched. When I called Sanipac to cancel my service the person on their end never asked why were we're canceling in spite of having been with them since 2002. Switched to Lane Apex and so far so so good. read more

Pros: - We had some issues at our second home with suddenly no longer receiving our mail (USPS error) and our account then getting inadvertently closed. However, Sanipac's representative (Candy) took care of the issue entirely and everyone was very friendly and easy to deal with. - More reliable than Lane Apex - Can start/stop accounts, resolve issues etc online and via email Cons: - Long wait time on the phone and it can be hard to get a hold of supervisors - Far more expensive than other places we've lived. Last house we had about $16 in charges a month, at Sanipac the same amount costs us around $40 a month. read more

Sanipac has such friendly drivers, my daughter loves the big trucks and while at the gas station the other day one of the drivers Ryan was so friendly and let my daughter walk around and look at his truck, it wasn't anything crazy but it made her day. They have the worst billing department we have ever encountered. .. and we have seen some terrible billing departments. We moved across town this summer, within the same zip code, no less. We have not received a bill from them (at either address) in probably six months. Oh but they are great and calling and sending past due notices. Today provided the icing on the cake: a collection letter for our old address. And yet we have not received a bill from them (at either address) in probably six months. And he did something that not everyone does anymore, went above and beyond in finding out an answer to one of my questions, even giving me the phone number I needed to call. That was refreshing. I've had Sanipac for a year and a half now and I have never had a problem! Even with the snow storm the notifications they sent to my phone was very much appreciated! (If you don't have the App then now is the time to get it) Sanipac values the safety of the community and as a mom with kiddos playing outside in the snow we appreciated them not driving in the snow with it being icy and the power lines down low! I appreciate how close they are to my home so if I need to pay cash I can do that in their local office here in town. Their value on helping out in the community is amazing! They give out bikes to kids around Christmas time for those who aren't able to get one. If that isn't helping out the local community then I don't know what is. I say they're pretty local to me!
