Seven years ago we hired McKenzie Disposal to remove some wood debris from a job site, the total…read morecost for this service was supposed to be around $200. After they removed the dumpster, we were shocked to get a bill for around $700! When we called, they said the home owner put a garden hose in the dumpster, so it was no longer wood debris, and they charge $500 more for garbage than they do wood. Rather than asking me to remove the garden hose, or spent five minutes themselves removing the garden hose they just decided to charge an extra $500. I called the owner and asked him why they did this, and he just offered to split the difference and only charge me $250. Okay, I'm still not happy but I appreciated the offer and promptly paid. Fast forward seven years, and I call to order another dumpster, and the owner tells me that for seven years he has been upset that he gave me a $250 credit, and that he will never again work with me again. Anyway, the guy seems to generally run a pretty disorganized and unprofessional business, if you have any other options I would suggest you use them.

Easy to drive through, pay (by truck load size not weight) and easy to back in areas to unload. Sometimes the young guys working will even help unload. Always try to have some cash on hand to tip them for their help. Also, great place to get your decomposed granite, fill dirt, sand and rock. Great selections, good prices and good customer care!! Highly recommend this place, they always make me feel welcome and are very helpful.

The half yard of the Blended Mint I just finished distributing was disappointing. A lot of big dirt clods that had to be broken down either by hand or by pounding with the back of a shovel. This load also included rocks, sticks, several scraps of blue tarp and other unidentifiable plastic bits. Many of the clods were just clumps of dry, brown, hard, dirt. A contrast to the rich black color of the Mint Compost. We really like Lane Forest Products and it's convenient location and nice employees. In comparison to prior seasons we are disappointed in the quality and consistency of this once great product.

I had 12 years problem free, then this woman, that is in the same Facebook groups as I am, starts hassling me over my bill, like I had never seen in 12 years. Only issue I had with Apex is that my can was not getting emptied fully. I learned to put the heaviest garbage on the bottom of my can, and they gave me an extra bag pick up, free. I did have to adjust for their equipment, but it has been smooth sailing with Apex for years. No street activists, singling people out for their opinions, working in Apex's billing department. Next Step's retail store set him up with a 2006 iMac on OS 10.7.5. The base price was $299.99, but, any time you make a donation at the donation end of Next Step, you get a 20% off coupon for the retail store, so we made a donation in advance of our purchase and got the computer for $239.99 with the coupon. Had my dad been willing to switch to a PC, he could have got something even cheaper -- and Next Step's PCs are all on Windows 7. Next Step also referred us to Techmedic in the Big Y Shopping Center for transfer of data from the old Mac to the new-to-him one, and that cost only $80, less than the $99 quoted at The Mac Store. As for the donation end: If you have privacy concerns about donating old computers, techs at the donation center will remove the hard drives for you if you ask. For most computers this is a simple process, but I once brought in an old Mac laptop on a Saturday afternoon and was told to bring it back on a weekday so a more experienced tech could extract the hard drive -- I did so, and then I didn't have it sitting in my attic any longer.
