We love Spanish tapas and came across this place in an Internet search. We were greeted an invited to sit anywhere we like. We chose a table in the back beside two nice people that lived in Galway. We had a great conversation with them through dinner. I wish I would have asked their names. We ordered the Tostones per our new friend's recommendation. Tostones were three house chips topped with beef filet and blue cheese foam. They were very good. We also ordered Dobladas de Puerco which was pork in a tortilla shell. Everything was delicious. The Tempranillo I had with my meal was great and paired very well with the tapas. The service was great. The seating was very comfortable. Our server lit the candle on our table which was a nice romantic touch. I wish we were in Galway longer so I could try more tapas here but I guess I'll have to wait til our next trip.

Super service and amazing flavor, just take the waitress recommendations, they work to engage the ambience of an already great place.

We had to wait a couple of minutes for our table then were seated. Prior to coming to Cava Bodega, I had tried some tapas but not much so I wasn't sure what to expect. To start, my friend and I got a glass of wine then ordered food. For dinner, we ordered the anchovies with piquilla pepper, patatas bravas, and paella marinera. I had never tried anchovies so I was admittedly nervous but the dish was sooo good. Patatas bravas is a dish I've tried before but I really liked Cava's version. This was also my first time trying paella and it was delicious! Everything was cooked perfectly and had a great combination of flavors. For dessert, my friend and I ordered the churros. Can never go wrong with this sugary cinnamon delight and we were definitely happy! Overall, I had a great time at Cava and it was the perfect birthday celebration. If you want to give it a try, definitely go for it!

This two-story restaurant (with dining in the basement) is bustling especially on weekends, so making reservations is recommended to avoid disappointment. We started with a Spanish red wine and ordered the following tapas to share: 1. Mussels with almonds and white wine sauce 2. Gambas al ajillo 3. Paella marinara 4. Squid with lemon mayonnaise 5. Croquetas 6. Churros with chocolate sauce and ice cream We had a lovely dinner here, the vibe was casual and fun, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. They have great, efficient customer service with good price points. If you happen to find yourself tired of bangers and mash or fish and chips, some Spanish tapas are a good recommendation for something different while in Galway, Ireland.

The space itself is small and cozy, with just a handful of tables and a private room, which gives it that intimate, tucked‑away feel. I'd 100% go back. They offer two specialty cocktails and a wine list, and while the cocktail selection is limited, the wines are unique and fantastic -- definitely worth exploring. The food was outstanding across the board. The monkfish scampi isn't what you might picture, but it's fantastic -- super crispy and full of flavor. And you have to get the bread: tomato focaccia or brown bread, then topped with the fennel, thyme, and maple butter were all unforgettable. The bavette steak was delicious, and the mashed potatoes were truly out of this world. The sea trout was incredibly fresh; just a heads‑up that the gremolata is spread over the whole dish, so it ends up almost poached in olive oil -- worth noting for anyone sensitive to that, but the flavor itself was excellent. Definitely end the night with the affogato and the shortbread cookies (chef's kiss). Who doesn't like to dunk their dessert? Highly recommend, would absolutely come back.

It reminds me of a country home by the water. The service was friendly and young. I got the plum salad, fallow deer, and roasted peach/caramel ice cream. The salad was spectacularly tasteful and fresh. I felt like the deer was a little too salty for my taste, but presentation was good. I was disappointed by the dessert. My ice cream was partially melted and the peaches were cold. I would give the environment/ambiance 5/5, service 5/5 and food 3.5/5. Overall 4/5.
