Ok so let's talk about Sangeetha and why I'm giving it such a high rating. Sangeetha is located down the street from a couple of other Indian restaurants. We tried a couple of the other places down the street, but hands down Sangeetha was the best and most accommodating to our dietary restrictions. Certain members of my family eat a semi-Jain diet and do not eat any food items with onion or garlic in it. Because of this, traveling can be quite difficult and it's often very hard for them to find food items that they can eat, especially while abroad. This restaurant was very understanding about their dietary restrictions and was able to modify dishes for them so they could actually have a full meal. Service was great and the interior was clean. Chaat service does end at a certain time so you can't get it later in the day, but their menu is still pretty appealing. Honestly, one of the better Indian restaurants in Paris esp if you have dietary issues. read more

Visiting Paris from the US I decided to give Sangeetha a try. It wasn't anything spectacular, and it wasn't terrible. It was above average. I had the Dahi Poori, Gobi Manchurian, Rava Masala Dosa. The Dahi Poori is a lot smaller in portion size than the poster on the wall leads one to believe and you only get 8. They're pretty bite size and half the size of a typical Poori you'd find in India, or most other restaurants. The Gobi Manchurian was tasty, and not that spicy compared to other restaurants we've been to. The sauce was a bit oily/watery but the flavor was still there. The Rava Masala Dosa was also average but the disappointing part was the small portion size of the sambhar. They only give 3 spoonfuls before you're wanting more because it's that good. I believe you can order a large bowl for two people to share but it's an extra cost. The service is great, the tables and restaurant are clean, and there is free tap water which is always appreciated as someone traveling around. Since it's on a street with many other Indian restaurants I'm sure you can find one better, but you can't go wrong if you decide to eat here. read more

English spoken here, very friendly attitudes, and absolutely delicious vegetarian food! Very near the best money exchange rates in Paris, which is Tempo on Magenta. Sangeetha has something most South Indian restaurants in the area do not have: a view into the tidy kitchen though perfectly washed windows and open door. The menu is short: dosa, uthappam, thali, biryani and a lovely dish made from mini idly - kaima idly. All items are fresh, moderately spiced and inexpensive. Sparkling new stainless steel implements and friendly manager and staff. I live in this area, the Gare du Nord section of the 10th, and am a vegetarian. This is a fine addition to the area. read more

This is my go-to Indian restaurant in Paris. Authentic and fresh. I'm always pleasantly surprised at how delicious it is. My favourite dishes are the North Indian thali, palak paneer and aloo gobi. Don't leave without having the delicious dessert, rava kesari! Amazing, soft, sweet and rich! Next time will take photos! read more

Food is just OK. The dosas are thick and ordinary. They are relatively small, eg a paper dosa anywhere else would be good 2 ft long and paper thin, here it is around a foot and no different than a standard dosa. Vada sambhar was soggy. Sambhar wasn't up to the mark, neither were the chutneys. Filter coffee is meh. Service is very slow. Will not go back. read more

For an Indian couple, one vegetarian and 10 days away from home, this was the place to be on the day we observed Vrats (fasting) for Lord Shiva. My husband and I visited this place after surviving on Pizzas and Boiled eggs for a good 10 days and so the sumptous South Indian meal at Sangeetha was like heaven on a thali (plate). The preparation is authentic South Indian and the sambhar gets 10/10 (but not the quantity of sambhar-it was too less). The chutneys were delicious and had a tinge of tamarind, coconut, chili flavours. We are definitely looking forwrd to spending many of the weekends, when we get terribly homesick, at Sangeetha's. read more

"Destination for vegetarians in Paris" My friends - all French, and myself just thought of having some snacks like samosa, bajji and then move out to a non- veg restaurant, but after having samosa we decided to taste masala dosai. Oh my god, what a delicious preparation it was. We asked for the menu card again and ate four more kinds of dishes there. We enjoyed all the dishes to the core. As the taste was very good,one of us doubted that perhaps AJINOMOTO was being used in the preparation One of my friends wanted to see the kitchen , and was permitted by the owner. He found the kitchen was very hygiene , the vegetables were fresh,oil and other groceries were first quality and above all he found out that AJINOMOTO (a hidden substance to improve taste) was not being used in the preparation of the dishes. There were no traces of AJINOMOTO anywhere in the kitchen. The staff are knowledgeable and they explain the menu in and out.The quality is superb and the prices are fair . Vegetarians and vegans will be delighted at the menu and even meat-eaters like us will enjoy themselves.The cocktails,fresh juices with many house-made ingredients, are creative and addictive. I ordered numerous items from the diverse menu, the Dosa was decent, def good for tourist food. However the North Indian food was by far the worst I have had in my travels. It was so bad, we threw most of it out. Naan no butter, Paneer65 was dry, Mushroom 65 had no taste. Portions where tiny as well. The Goni Manchurian was a disastrous. Prob my mistake for ordering North Indian food from. South Indian place. Gulaab Jamun on the other hand, delicious! read more

Really enjoyed this restaurant and hospitality. The host where we are saying in Paris suggested it and it did not disappoint us. Staff was friendly and helpful. Had a great experience going there, feel like being in home. Dont forget to taste the varieties of Dosa's and Chola batura is one of the best. During evening time tried Combo Chat (deleicious and best among all).Also had an opportunity talk with Owner of this Restaurant, very friendly and provided the service as we expected. My one of the best place to visit in Paris also will suggest my friends for the same. Even though if i found out any mistakes or unhappy about the food(sometimes roasted) but the service mase us to forget all about this. read more

As a tourist to Paris we were looking out for Indian food found good reviews about this place then we decided to go for lunch. Our experience with this restaurant was terrible. We ordered two Thali, paalak paneer, Daal, nan roti and roti. The rotis were frozen ones they were under cooked being experienced cook myself I could they heated frozen chapati and served to us. The food was stale no flavor. I understand we went late afternoon but they could have said the cook was not availalbe but instead they prepared the food. The rotis were cold when they brought the food I complained to the waiter about uncooked rotis he didn't apologize or bothered. I am totally blown away by seeing the customer reviews. I am guessing these reviews came from their friends and families. The prices are so high for the poor quality food. I highly discourage people going to this restaurant. There are better places out there. read more
