Gwadar serves some of the best-quality Indian-Pakistani dishes I've ever eaten, all the while with excellent service to boot (an abnormality in Paris, that is). Ordered samosas to start, which came piping hot and delicious, although they may or may not have been frozen before. Rose lassi was okay, but tasted artificial. Main dish was palak saag, which was lamb and spinach cheese curry. Came with rice and naan, and it made for a hearty meal. Lamb was slightly on the tough side, but the spinach and cheese were creamy and smooth. It was a lot of food, as I could barely finish everything on my own. Unfortunately, I'd gone on the weekend, which didn't allow for a lunch special: I would definitely recommend going on the weekdays, as my food came out to nearly 30 euros (bread and rice were charged extra), as opposed to 16 euros for the special. Food was pretty good, but it was the courteous and welcoming staff which made my experience in Gwadar a good one. Worth a try! read more

Was in Paris three weeks ago - ate dinner here and I still remember it being delicious - so worth reviewing! We ordered garlic naan and spicy tandoori salmon and a full bottle of wine. The food was absolutely divine here!! It's true that portions are not what I am used to as an American, but this meal was not bad for the price we paid, and I would have paid more in New York City at an upscale Indian restaurant for sure. The people who work here are very kind and true to their Pakistani roots, and the service was wonderful. It has your traditional Indian/Pakistani restaurant ambiance with the instrumental music and dim lighting - and after a full three days of being a tourist, it was exactly what I needed to experience in that moment. The only regret me and my fiance have: We should have ordered the chicken makni. This was some of the best Indian food I had in a very long time. The staff was also very courteous and attentive. Felt like home. They heard it was my birthday and went above and beyond with complimentary cake and a special birthday song. I would definitely eat here again and again! Located in one of the smaller size streets just a block or two from the ritz and glitz of 5 star hotels and name brand fashion outlets is this unassuming and fairly generic looking Indian restaurant. Until you look on the window and see Michelin stars for 8 consecutive years. The menu is standard fare and not ground-breaking. Prices by Parisian standards are very low..it is possible to get a vegetarian entre for less than our hotel charges for a bottle of Coke! We tried the chicken palak and dhaal that were both spiced to the desired level and scrumptious. The garlic naan was piping hot, fresh and very garlicky. While I cannot say this was the best Indian food I have had it certainly rates as very good to excellent. The owner is engaging and as noted elsewhere is fluent in English. read more

Stopped here on a cold and snowy day for a warm meal. The service was exceptional. Friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the middle value priced meal and had at least 4 selections for each course. The cheese nan is beautifully puffed and fresh. The chicken Tikka first course was beautifully cooked chunks of marinated chicken with a small salad. 3 tasty sauces provided. We stayed at an AirBnB adjacent to the restaurant, so the aromas of the food forced our hands during the dinner decision process. Since we were traveling, I tried a few delivery apps to see if pickup/takeaway was an option. But after failing there, I walked down to try my luck. The owner was very kind and helpful. This was the worse Restaurant Paris experience I have ever had. I and my spouse just came from this Restaurant. Now we have been to so many restaurants in Paris which customer service has been #1. Immediately we arrived we were seated immediately and the menu was provided. Now the menu is in French no explanation in english..which is fine! We are in Paris after all. However, all the other restaurants we have been to EXCEPT this one, the waiter will come by and ask "have you been here before..or would you like help with the menu or I recommend this or that or this is normally the house specialty or mostly ordered or offer some form of assistant" Mr. Fida who "tried" to assist basically just came to the table rushing and stated "this is poultry, lamb and chicken". Mind you this menu is like 3 pages long. I am not asking to translate in English everything on the menu but at least show an interest to want to assist. He made us feel as if we were wasting his time because we could not speak French. More importantly telling me the head line of the menu is NOT ASSISTANCE AT ALL! How do you know if I am not allergic to the peanuts that potentially could be in any of the six dishes listed under the poultry section of the menu. I will not recommend this restaurant to non french speaking individuals because you will be looked down upon and get no help. read more

We stopped here while in Paris for dinner. The restaurant was quiet and cozy. We had the Chicken Madras and the Chicken Tikka Masala with rice and garlic naan. Portions were perfect. Food was delicious! Spice level (heat) was on the low side, which was nice and would definitely cater to broader tastes. We enjoyed a bottle of wine with our meal and finished with gulab jamin. They added a nice touch of a little shredded coconut to it which we really liked. The syrup was light and very flavorful. Would definitely return! read more

The garlic naan and pickle was really good though. The quantity, compared to Paris standards, was fairly decent. The service was great! As an Indian myself, I found the other food just okay (we had vegetarian food, meats may be good) - couple reasons - there was no paneer in palak paneer (rather was some cheese that had melted), the dal had little flavor. read more

This place is so good both on the quality of food, the ambience, and the level of service. I ate here during dinner hours and the ambience was really inviting and cozy. The servers are really nice and very helpful explaining the menu. And they speak a bit of English which was helpful! Last but not least the food, very good! I have to try Indian restaurants everywhere I travel, Gwadar was a really good place, the food was delish and veggie friendly.

Simply fantastic food! Everything we ordered was great and you could tell they put time and thought into the food. The Garlic Naan had garlic inside instead of the outside to keep it from falling off. The curry dishes we got were well spiced and extremely flavorful. The chicken tandoor was our tables favorite; the chicken was tender on the inside and crispy on the outside simply packed with flavor. If you're ever in Paris you should try this restaurant and see why the deserve their place in the Michelin guide. read more

This is a Michelin-starred Indian restaurant right next to the Louvre museum. You should check it out! I went there for lunch today with my mom and sister, and we paid roughly €12-14 per entree. Happened upon this place by accident, but what a nice surprise. Very attentive wait staff, clean restaurant. I told the waiter I wanted something spicy yet different. Amazing! Arrived on Christmas morning in Paris 12/25/17 from the USA. My husband was born in India, by far best Indian food we've had since visiting India. Actually I believe it's a Pakistani owned restaraunt, great staff and service. Manager or Owner fantastic. Food perfect spice level, not bland at all. Chicken and Lamb cooked perfectly tender. Veggie dishes awesome! Naan and paratha yummy! Desserts beyond the best we've had, my husband said better than India. We tried Persian, Italian and Thai after here- all rated 4-5 Stars, not only were they- Persian was "so-so" Rude staff, Italian hip concept "okay, bland food" no so good, Thai was beyond horrifying. We came in here after wandering for a long while looking for dinner. Menu was French, but if you eat Indian, the dishes are recognizable, and the server spoke English very well and was so helpful! Worst Indian restaurant I have been to around the world. Food was terrible. Chicken tikka was heated in microwave and was rubbery. Service was even worse. They should have a board saying Indians are not welcome. My simple order took them 45 minuets but table next to me occupied by locals was served within 10 minutes and complicated order. I love this place!! I came across this place by a recommendation from my Indian friend after he knew that I was going to visit Paris. Food was good. Yep, I was probably expecting a bit more really in terms of spiciness as after asking for an 8 out of 10 for my vindaloo it was about a 4.5 on the Australian scale. The food notwithstanding, was still very good. The service was excellent and the wine was superb. Went here for lunch with a friend and we both really enjoyed the food! He had tikka masala, I didnt try it, but he ate all of it, so it must not have been terrible! I had the palak paneer (my favorite Indian dish), and it was really good! The actual palak (the cheese chunks..) were a little bit too soft (I've never had them melt before this), but besides that it was delicious. The prices were super reasonable, and they had a good selection for wines as well. read more

Have been here twice. First time was impressed with the fresh, crispy samosas. The dal was really well seasoned. Second time had the spinach dal which was even better and the vegetable Corma. My tongue danced with all new exotic spices. Tip: order the nan to come with the meal so it will be fresh off the grill and hot with your curries.
