My iced tea was tasty. I got the fried brussels sprouts and the southwest chicken tacos. The brussels sprouts themselves didn't have any flavor unless I dipped them in the ranch. The southwest chicken tacos had lots of toppings, but looked like they were missing something. I mentioned to my companions that they were awful dry when I was eating them. Afterwards, I pulled up the menu on my phone and realized they were supposed to have salsa and ranch. I bet they would have tasted a lot better if they'd had everything they were supposed to have on them. It was surprisingly busy for a Tuesday night in a medium-size town, but there aren't a ton of food options there. The ambiance was kind of fun, with an outdoor seating area in addition to the inside. read more

Is it a brewery or a beer memorabilia museum? Tasty brews and an absolutely amazing collection of beer signs and more. An old Rt 66 classic.

Another brewery in another small town, this one has a full food menu. Chili (with beans) was tempting as were the burgers, but I chose the Chicken and Bacon Caesar Salad. With it, their fine "Bur Oak - Old 63" Pilsner. Salad was tasty with lots and lots of bacon, and only one romaine lettuce core. Maybe too much dressing and I've never had a salad with cherry tomatoes but I'm nitpicking. It was good. Beer was excellent. Pilsner that tasted like pilsner. No wifi here, so I wrote my Yelp reviews on my hotspot. There are power outlets in one corner of the room and happily, my phone is now at 90%. They started out good. Good food and service. Now it is hard for me to enjoy my drink or dinner with knats flying close to my mouth when I drink my drink. The food is dry and the service is a whole other subject. I would not take children here because the dress code is nothing they wear what they want and they play with their hair while waiting for your food to come out. The cook had very thick hair with no net. The girls look too young to wear the attire they wear. It makes me disgusted that this management does not care about these issues. I will not be back. read more

Sangamo Brewing - And they are all playing or talking on their phones. - Breweries Near Me - Chatham, Illinois

Good food and service good buffalo chicken horseshoes and tasty French fries. Check it out

Awful service from a place that serves cold food. Arrived at 7:30 pm on a Thursday evening and ordered a burger and a chicken Caesar salad. At 8:30 pm, the food finally arrived with a barely warm burger and COLD fries. Not lukewarm fries but cold. The chicken was barely warm as well. When we questioned why it had taken an hour to get cold food, the bartender told us that they were busy and got backed up. Slow food service might be expected on a busy night, but cold food should never be expected. Don't go to this so-called restaurant, unless you want an awful experience. read more

The food was below average as it was very oily/greasy. The queso dip app tasted more like gravy than cheese. The beers were solid (Sangamo summer shandy was awesome) and the venue is nice. Nice big outdoor seating area. Service was decent for how busy it was and being sat outside. read more

Awesome tacos and margaritas!!! And the best bartenders, servers, kitchen staff. Fun atmosphere. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!

Very surprised by the quality and tastiness of the food this time around! Appetizer combo with shrimp kabobs and rib tips. Simply outstanding! Service was also prompt and friendly. Nice to be able to sit outside on a beautiful day enjoying good food, cold drinks and great weather! Only comment is that it would have been nice if they had some music playing over the speakers. I will be back! read more

I've been to Sangamo Brewing a few times. The beer is so-so. The food is typically really good. I especially like their walleye dinner. The service is frequently spotty. Despite liking their food, I won't go back...they have a large outdoor space and they are apparently not dog friendly. There are LOTS of other places in Springfield where we'll spend our money that is dog-friendly. Two thumbs down for me! read more

I have been a frequent patron to this business. However, last Saturday was a very bad experience. I ordered the pulled pork nachos because that is what I usually get. My nachos came out and were completely cold. I asked them if they could just heat them up, but they made me another order. This order was also cold, and had hardly any pulled pork on it at all They also forgot the sour cream and salsa. They weren't very busy at all and we ordered a hamburger to go. It took 45 minutes to get that order. I just got plenty of excuses from the waiter and have decided not to go back. There are too many other good restaurants in town. read more

Very good. We have eaten there on a few occasions. They offer a good variety of appetizer, entrees and beverages. We often get the chicken sandwiches. Always very good. The service is excellent. The atmosphere is fun. Great place for lunch, dinner, or just to meet up with friends for a drink. Seating inside and out make it convenient when the weather is nice. read more

I enjoyed my lunch of fish tacos and French fries at Sangamo brewing! Our waiter was friendly and helpful, and they had a nice selection of local beers. While we were waiting, we browsed through the brewery's collection of historical brewery memorabilia and signage. The food was pretty great! I'll definitely be back! read more

One of our go to places. Always good food and great service. Whoever decided to add a chicken, bacon, ranch Quesadilla to Taco Tuesday deserves a pat on the back. Very good. Our server tonight was Grace and she was outstanding. Great personality, great service! read more

Sangamo has become one of our 'go to' places since moving to Piper Glen. We have some menu favorites that never disappoint - salads are very good as well as the burgers. Servers are friendly, efficient and caring. Their outside seating area is especially nice when weather is good. Great service, great beers! Sangamo sauce and the horseshoes are fantastic! Just know that they put the cheese sauce under the fries. Will be back again! read more

This was the third time I've been there. First time for three in our party of 5. It was a HUGE disappointment. We waited an hour for appetizers and an hour and half for food. When the food came out it was cold. It wasn't good. We had several drinks and the bill was well over $100. Our waiter was apologetic and gave us a $20 gift card. That was almost a slap in the face. I didn't pay for this meal or I probably would have been complaining more. It was busy when we got there but we actually left after they officially closed. Let me just say we will NEVER go back. No way would I EVER recommend this place. read more

Good service, atmosphere and food. A favorite of ours! Tacos are good, service fast and friendly. Grouper Baha taco very good.

This place is a complete train wreck and obviously had no management in place. Walked into a overpack establishment in a pandemic to greeted by no one. Finally someone comes up to greet us and we wanted a table outside, because the inside was way passed state issued seating capacity. The employee says it will be a while and I said their are empty tables. She responds with those are for bigger parties. Upon seeing outside they had lots of 2 tops sitting at 6 tops drinking water and not even spending any money. I was like whatever and decided to sit at the end of a bar where it was empty. Stood around for 10 minutes of no one greeting us again to offer us drinks. Another couple who came in behind us comes over and sits next to us and a bartender walks right up to them and asks what they want to drink, I was about to lose my shit when the couple said, I think they were here first. After getting our order, which the bartender was like frantic and far too busy to even give us more than 2 seconds, we witnessed a huge fight between two servers standing within 2 feet of us. Who needs tv to entertain you when you are about to have two girls start throwing punches with one another. Get our beers which weren't great either. The ipa I had wasn't an ipa. Pretty sure it was a kölsch they had tapped and posted the wrong info or gave me the wrong beer? If it was an ipa, yikes! As we are sitting we witnessed a lady, one person only, get seated outside at a table for 6. So moral of the story is: I guess if you suck their dick you get priority seating... Closed out and left. Wont be going back... read more

So we Have been here twice. Once for lunch and then for dinner last night. Lunch was Pretty good so we were looking forward to having dinner here. Great ambience in the restaurant. Portion sizes? 5 very small wings for the wing appetizer. Shrimp kabob appetizer was supposed to be blackened, but was pretty much inedible. 2 small kebabs with 4 very small shrimp on them. Fish and chips was a decent portion size, but non of us could eat it because they tasted Like a salt lick. Fish tacos were ok, but once again small portion for dinner. Sorry, I love Local, but.... read more

Cool place. Can hardly tell this used to be Fat Willys. General Tao chicken sandwich was great. Southwest chicken taco would order again - with less onions. Maybe an extra shell because it was loaded. Pretzel sticks and cheese curds were good. Cheese sauce a bit thick. Brick 66 beer good. Cupcake bear only Ok. read more

I was kicked out by one the owners because I confronted him about his establishment not following the Governors COVID mandate about social distancing and wearing masks by the bar area. Two of the patrons not wearing masks by the bar were co owners. All the employees were following the mandate and enforcing customers to follow the mandate. I guess you get kicked out for trying to look out for other customers. I also took pics showing the owners not wearing masks while requiring their customers to follow the mandate. read more

Great patio but the beer I had was so bad I couldn't drink it. I don't think I've ever found a beer I couldn't drink before! There was something very off about it which was probably a mistake in the brewing process. The food was decent. The server wasn't willing to rectify the situation. Too many other good options. I won't be back. read more

Really want to like this place. So nice to be able to sit outdoors and have some beers with friends. Two of us got flights and they were not the same beers in the correct place on flight board, which made ordering a beer confusing for the couple with us. Appetizers very good. Service can be so slow. My second time there. First time, a friend ordered a beer after her flight , it never came. When the bills came, they were a mess for two couples. Tonight, Bill was correct, just very slow service. Not to hold against the server, just maybe need one or two more. Weather going to beautiful coming up, people want out!!!! I hope this place makes it!! read more

We love this place. The food is top quality but it is really the people that make the place great. I have never talked to anyone that was less than overly helpful, but not in an annoying way, they just come across as truly happy to help. Their house made Sangamo Sauce is a great addition to to pretty much all of their dishes. Everything we have tried has been a winner from the salads, appetizers, horse shoes, specials, dinner plates, we have loved them all. Some of our favorites include the onion rings, the tex mex quesadilla, and the chicken and bacon ceaser salad. read more
