My iced tea was tasty. I got the fried brussels sprouts and the southwest chicken tacos. The brussels sprouts themselves didn't have any flavor unless I dipped them in the ranch. The southwest chicken tacos had lots of toppings, but looked like they were missing something. I mentioned to my companions that they were awful dry when I was eating them. Afterwards, I pulled up the menu on my phone and realized they were supposed to have salsa and ranch. I bet they would have tasted a lot better if they'd had everything they were supposed to have on them. It was surprisingly busy for a Tuesday night in a medium-size town, but there aren't a ton of food options there. They started out good. Good food and service. Now it is hard for me to enjoy my drink or dinner with knats flying close to my mouth when I drink my drink. The food is dry and the service is a whole other subject. I would not take children here because the dress code is nothing they wear what they want and they play with their hair while waiting for your food to come out. The cook had very thick hair with no net. The girls look too young to wear the attire they wear. It makes me disgusted that this management does not care about these issues. Another brewery in another small town, this one has a full food menu. Chili (with beans) was tempting as were the burgers, but I chose the Chicken and Bacon Caesar Salad. With it, their fine "Bur Oak - Old 63" Pilsner. Salad was tasty with lots and lots of bacon, and only one romaine lettuce core. Maybe too much dressing and I've never had a salad with cherry tomatoes but I'm nitpicking. It was good. Beer was excellent. Pilsner that tasted like pilsner. No wifi here, so I wrote my Yelp reviews on my hotspot. There are power outlets in one corner of the room and happily, my phone is now at 90%. Awful service from a place that serves cold food. Arrived at 7:30 pm on a Thursday evening and ordered a burger and a chicken Caesar salad. At 8:30 pm, the food finally arrived with a barely warm burger and COLD fries. Not lukewarm fries but cold. The chicken was barely warm as well. When we questioned why it had taken an hour to get cold food, the bartender told us that they were busy and got backed up. Slow food service might be expected on a busy night, but cold food should never be expected. Don't go to this so-called restaurant, unless you want an awful experience. read more

I have been a frequent patron to this business. However, last Saturday was a very bad experience. I ordered the pulled pork nachos because that is what I usually get. My nachos came out and were completely cold. I asked them if they could just heat them up, but they made me another order. This order was also cold, and had hardly any pulled pork on it at all They also forgot the sour cream and salsa. They weren't very busy at all and we ordered a hamburger to go. It took 45 minutes to get that order. I just got plenty of excuses from the waiter and have decided not to go back. There are too many other good restaurants in town. read more

I've been to Sangamo Brewing a few times. The beer is so-so. The food is typically really good. I especially like their walleye dinner. The service is frequently spotty. Despite liking their food, I won't go back...they have a large outdoor space and they are apparently not dog friendly. This was the third time I've been there. First time for three in our party of 5. It was a HUGE disappointment. We waited an hour for appetizers and an hour and half for food. When the food came out it was cold. It wasn't good. We had several drinks and the bill was well over $100. Our waiter was apologetic and gave us a $20 gift card. That was almost a slap in the face. I didn't pay for this meal or I probably would have been complaining more. It was busy when we got there but we actually left after they officially closed. Let me just say we will NEVER go back. This place is a complete train wreck and obviously had no management in place. Walked into a overpack establishment in a pandemic to greeted by no one. Finally someone comes up to greet us and we wanted a table outside, because the inside was way passed state issued seating capacity. The employee says it will be a while and I said their are empty tables. She responds with those are for bigger parties. Upon seeing outside they had lots of 2 tops sitting at 6 tops drinking water and not even spending any money. I was like whatever and decided to sit at the end of a bar where it was empty. Stood around for 10 minutes of no one greeting us again to offer us drinks. Another couple who came in behind us comes over and sits next to us and a bartender walks right up to them and asks what they want to drink, I was about to lose my shit when the couple said, I think they were here first. After getting our order, which the bartender was like frantic and far too busy to even give us more than 2 seconds, we witnessed a huge fight between two servers standing within 2 feet of us. Who needs tv to entertain you when you are about to have two girls start throwing punches with one another. Get our beers which weren't great either. The ipa I had wasn't an ipa. Pretty sure it was a kölsch they had tapped and posted the wrong info or gave me the wrong beer? If it was an ipa, yikes! As we are sitting we witnessed a lady, one person only, get seated outside at a table for 6. So moral of the story is: I guess if you suck their dick you get priority seating... Closed out and left. So we Have been here twice. Once for lunch and then for dinner last night. Lunch was Pretty good so we were looking forward to having dinner here. Great ambience in the restaurant. Portion sizes? 5 very small wings for the wing appetizer. Shrimp kabob appetizer was supposed to be blackened, but was pretty much inedible. 2 small kebabs with 4 very small shrimp on them. I was kicked out by one the owners because I confronted him about his establishment not following the Governors COVID mandate about social distancing and wearing masks by the bar area. Two of the patrons not wearing masks by the bar were co owners. All the employees were following the mandate and enforcing customers to follow the mandate. We love this place. The food is top quality but it is really the people that make the place great. I have never talked to anyone that was less than overly helpful, but not in an annoying way, they just come across as truly happy to help. Their house made Sangamo Sauce is a great addition to to pretty much all of their dishes. Everything we have tried has been a winner from the salads, appetizers, horse shoes, specials, dinner plates, we have loved them all. Really want to like this place. So nice to be able to sit outdoors and have some beers with friends. Two of us got flights and they were not the same beers in the correct place on flight board, which made ordering a beer confusing for the couple with us. Appetizers very good. Service can be so slow. My second time there. First time, a friend ordered a beer after her flight , it never came. When the bills came, they were a mess for two couples. Tonight, Bill was correct, just very slow service. This place is amazing. Went here today for the first time. Had the pork tenderloin and it was amazing. The cheddar cheese curds were awesome and the beer flight was great.
