Barfight Brown and Angry Red Head

The brewmasters at buzz bomb talked us through every beer and were super fun! 10/10 beer, 10/10 service. Buzz bomb is worth the trip from VT! I would highly recommend!!

located right down town Springfield with outdoor seating makes it perfect for people watching great selection of beer

Beer flight

Love the look of the spot. Very cool stickers all over the place. The glassware was very unique. Smaller spot but just what you are looking for in a micro brewery. Our bartender was very friendly and had great advice on the beers. Also, the free stickers is a nice touch!

a glass of beer on a bar

Went to a few places around town, but this had the best beer selection. We don't like sours so this place fit our taste preferences. Staff super nice. Loved looking at all the brewery stickers. Local supporting local! First time visiting, but definitely will be bank! Kudos guys, keep up the great work!

I had a blast at the June session of buzzed bingo! The staff was very friendly, and there were several appealing seating areas. There were a variety of beers on top, and I enjoyed the Things We Don't Talk About IPA.

Uno and beer - what more could you need?

Husband and I came here on the first Saturday night that they were officially open to the public (I think!). We were THRILLED that this place exists in our little Springfield! I'm old enough to remember when The Plaza occupied this narrow space of downtown. Rest assured, it doesn't look (or smell, lol) the same at all. The decor is hipster and fun without being over the top, and the beers are excellent. We started with a flight - Milkman Chocolate Stout, 217 Common, Stay Golden, and Barfight Brown. They were all really good, but the Stay Golden was probably my favorite. Barfight Brown was really good too, but at 9%, I wasn't ready to have too many of them! The upstairs was where the magic happened for me. They have bookshelves filled with all kinds of different things to pick up and read, and some games to play. When we first got upstairs it wasn't too busy, so we played a few hands of Uno, but then it got noisy pretty quick. All in all, I cannot wait to go back and try some more of their other beers and hang out. If anyone needs me, I'll be reading upstairs!

This brewery has some great beers to choose from and the naming of the beers is super fun! Great local watering hole. The decor is industrial and yet modern by using restored building materials, making the ambiance enjoyable. Friendly staff.

Good variety of beer and other drinks. Bartender was awesome. Let us try a lot of beers. Space is small.

Great selections of beer, chill atmosphere! Bartender was awesome and even gave up some stickers on our way out for our beer fridge.

After stopping by the Abraham Lincoln House and library, we came across this microbrewery and had…read moreto go in! They also have a cidery, but it wasn't open during this season. Thankfully we still were able to get one cider, and they had a selection of other beers. The cider was tart and refreshing, and I really like the berry mocktail, which had ginger beer, and a mix of berries in it. As for food, the Nashville hot chicken sandwich came with a lot of heat which was great. I got the dry rub version, which is spicer than the saucy version. The horseshoe sandwich is a local favorite, which is an open faced sandwich with sliced bread topped with meat (we got the angus beef), fries, and cheese sauce. It was quite heavy and creamy because of all the sauce. Overall we enjoyed our meal and our server was very friendly, although service was on the slower side.

We came here on a Sunday before a matinee at the Hoogland -- full of hope, hungry, and maybe a…read morelittle too optimistic. The building is beautiful, the location is perfect, and we thought, "Hey, maybe those bad reviews were just people having a bad day." Spoiler alert: they were not. Service started strong. We were seated right away, and they even brought coloring pages for our kids -- a nice touch that gave us false hope. Then the food arrived, and it was like watching a plot twist in a bad movie. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Pony Shoe. It came out looking like someone microwaved a bag of frozen chicken tenders and tossed them in buffalo sauce for moral support. The cheese sauce might have been homemade -- it was grainy enough to make me believe someone whisked it themselves -- but there was barely any. Also, who hides the cheese under the fries? That's the star of the show! I had to beg for more, and even then it arrived lukewarm, much like my excitement for the meal. My wife ordered the Pork Schnitzel with "spaetzle." Except it wasn't schnitzel; it was a pork cutlet that had clearly seen the inside of a freezer longer than most people's leftovers. And the "spaetzle"? Nope. Straight-up spaghetti noodles. The mushroom sauce tasted like it came straight from a can labeled Cream of Disappointment. Two of the kids got cheese pizza -- or as I like to call it, "Frozen Circle of Regret." My son's "chips" were somehow both soggy and chewy, a texture I didn't even know existed. Frying them until they're crunchy shouldn't be rocket science, but here we are. Everything was bland, flavorless, and missing any sign of seasoning. The best dish of the entire meal? My daughter's burger on her Pony Shoe -- mostly because it resembled real food. And just to add a little flair, nearly every plate was dusted with dried parsley. Because, of course, nothing says fine dining like sprinkling dried parsley on frozen food. This place has serious potential -- it's got the space, the charm, and the perfect downtown vibe. But if your secret ingredient is "frozen," no amount of parsley is going to save you.

I tried this place with a friend. We had reviewed the menu online so we would have an idea of what…read moreto eat when we got there. The in house menu does not match the online menu, but we both enjoyed our sushi rolls. So you walk in and upon approaching you can't miss the beer garden. If it wasn't so windy that day it would have been a perfect dine outside situation. But because of the wind we got a booth inside. In the middle of the floor is bar height tables a chairs, booths along one side of the room. The booths are only on one side because the other side is a beer wall. That's right, I said a beer wall. A wall full of taps. You get a swipe card and it charges your swipe card by the ounce. I don't drink beer but my friend appeared to be really happy with the selection. Because she couldn't pick just one, she made herself a flight. That's right, you can make your own beer flight from the beer wall. So for you beer drinkers I imagine this west side establishment is a hidden gem. I'd definitely come here again, with spouses and adult children in tow. There was fun food, good drinks and some entertainment. And not just karaoke either. We played name that tune. There was a prize at the end but we didn't stay long enough to see the winner. Well, we also didn't play competitively enough to be the winner either. But we had a great time and for a fair price. So, let it be said...I give this place 2thumbs up and definitely give it my seal of approval.

The food and drinks were good, not mouthwatering, but definitely enjoyable. Not to mention this place has a wall of taps that are self-pour! We had a couple of beers, cocktails, and sushi and were pleased with all! The staff was meh. A lot of waiting on our part, but we're overall kind when they did check in on us. I wouldn't write home about this place, but if you're looking for a cool place nearby with good beer and good sushi, then it's your place! Outdoor patio is dog friendly which is a plus.
