I visited Sandy's with a friend on a stormy Saturday afternoon. The salon is large and there's plenty of space at the nail stations to avoid feeling like you're cramped. We had appointments and we were seen promptly after our arrival. There are tons of DND swatches to choose from with countless color options, which was great since I'm a fan of that brand. We both got a gel pedicure and the quality of my nails came out great. The pedi was pretty basic, no massaging or hot stones, which I guess I've become used to at other salons. I also received a gel manicure and my tech kindly repaired one of my broken nails prior to painting. I definitely plan to return for a new color when it's time, but I do have to dock a star since one of my tootsies was cut during my pedicure. read more

Was recommended by my friend who came here for a really nice set of gel and dip with designs (snow flakes and glitters). I think she paid $65 for it which isn't bad. I got a gel and dip manicure for $35. It was my first time getting a dip which I heard it's better for your nails. Picked my peachy fuzz color (#589) and a red glitter for the Holidays. The woman who did my nail (forgot to ask her name), was pretty detailed and sanded my nails a couple of times. At times, I experienced a tiny bit of pain with minor cuts on two fingers but overall, I am satisfied with the outcome. The cost of the service is on average or cheaper compared to Northern Jersey. I've been coming here since I was younger and I did not fully appreciate this salon until recently now that I've tried others in many different cities. They charge $25 for gel and $30 for dip (plus or minus $5, just giving myself a buffer because it still sounds too good to be true) which compared to some cities is wildly cheap. My technicians name was Hannah. I got dip with gel polish and design and the work she did was great. Initially I felt rushed because it takes me a while to pick out colors but she did a great job on my nails. I showed her pictures of what I wanted and she did a good job replicating with my adjustments. My total service was $40 which would not be the case in any other city I've lived in. read more

This is a fairly average nail salon. 3 of us went to get a pedicure and they did a good enough job for all of us. However, don't bother making an appointment - we did but we still did not get seated at the same time, which was less than ideal. But I suppose they can't say no if they have guaranteed clients already in the store, at the risk of a no-show. Everything seemed clean and they had older, but still pretty good spa chairs with a massage. They took credit cards, but it did not have a place for a tip - so either tell them to charge you for the service plus whatever tip you want to leave or make sure you have cash (they did not tell me there would be no tip option). Prices were about average - $20 for a pedicure and $30 for a mani-pedi combo. read more

Tara did my gel manicure, made sure I loved the color and the price beat every other gel manicure I've had to date. Updating since my last review, gave them another chance and they have really improved. It seems they have weeded out all the unfriendly staff and they now use individually packaged sterilized tools. Your nails will look pretty but don't expect the relaxing mani/pedi experience. Just expect good nails. They really skimp on the massage part of manicures and pedicures. I continue to go here for the good price. Just wish they gave a better more relaxing experience. People here always are lounging on the chairs and soaked up on their iPhone or iPads. read more

This place is great, the girls are great, they do a pretty good job when it comes to regular pedicure/manicure, either acrylic, gel or normal. I say a-okay because I don't like to carry cash, otherwise than my $10 for emergency. And I hate when places don't let you tip in the card. I tried this salon for the first time this past Tuesday from a referral from a cousin who goes here as well. First I "shopped" around from around this area to up in Morristown since I am in that area weekly. Being a college student I feel the cheaper the better. This salon was the best price I could find for what I was looking for. That being said I am pretty happy with what I had done. Don't let the outside of the building fool you, the inside of the salon is rather nice. It was not at all what I was expecting when I saw the outside. There was no wait when I went at 2 pm but around 3 pm it got busier. I got greeted right away and soon the process started. I had Lynn do my nails. It seems like they know their clients by name. I consider myself very lucky to have found Sandy. She was previously with another area nail salon which was recommended by a coworker - I ended up doing a walk-in and got Sandy that day. I was impressed with her work and followed her when she opened her own nail salon. I've tried numerous places in the area...you either get a gel manicure that ends up lifting after a week or average nails at best. I've had my nails done by Sandy and they have lasted well over 3.5 weeks (which is the maximum I will let them go without a fill). There is never any lifting and I always receive compliments on how nice my nails look. I recommend Sandy to anyone in a heartbeat! She's worked very hard to update her nail salon and the passion and love she puts into her work shows. Salon is always clean and inviting. I've never had any issues getting an appointment in the evening time. Parking is a little crazy but I can't fault Sandy for that...the building has three stores and a smaller than average parking lot. read more

Only giving 2 stars because my nails always did look nice and lasted a long time (LCN gel tips). I've never had a pedicure here and I've only ever had Sandy. Here's my problem. I was never charged the same amount of money every time I came here. I got the SAME thing every time and she charged me a different amount of money each time. She came highly recommended from a childhood friend but I wasn't impressed. She rushed and you never got that relaxing feeling you should have when you get your nails done. Wasn't very pleasant or happy. And insisted I pay in cash. She did accept my debit card however stressed each time she prefers the cash. I found that very off putting. I had to even go to the Bank of America up the street once to get money out of the ATM for her. Sandy was never mean to me. But I didn't feel valued. I get deceived and cheated and taken for a fool. As much as her prices look appealing, I never actually paid the listed prices. It was always a different amount and I have bank statements to prove it. I don't go here anymore. read more

Decided to try them yesterday for a shellac manicure while out running errands. After being seated I was told to wait at another table while the person attended to someone else. When she brought me back, she was very chatty until she tried to push a pedicure on me as well. "It's only $20." "No, thanks, I'm trying to save money. I just need the fingers...I can do my toes myself." "Why? You should let us do them. You can afford it." I was ready to walk out right then. I said no, don't try to push it on me! For the rest of the manicure she not only wouldn't talk to me, she wouldn't even LOOK at me. I had nail polish all over my hands, including the base of my thumb. It was very uneven, blobs in places,and huge bare spots along the edges. A day later, it's already peeling off one nail and another is chipped. I guess that's what I get for trying someplace new without researching first! read more

We have all had our nail person...the one you love! Moving seemed great, yet I had to find someone new for gels. My neighbor recommended image nail salon in bound brook. Place is on a busy street and parking was terrible. However, Tina did my nails. I would walk the distance for the perfect nail girl. My nails were flawless and I was very pleased. Gel fills were $30. i have been going to this salon for almost a solid year now, faithfully every 4-ish weeks, starting with getting acrylics for my wedding. i have never had to wait very long for anything i've needed done, they are always friendly, and i've never been "cut" accidentally with the drill or nail file. i've had acrylics (full set and fills), pedicures, and waxing done here, and they always do a beautiful job - i am always getting compliments on how good my nails look. they have asked before if i would like some other service done, and if i don't have the time or money, i tell them no, and they never push the issue. i've even taken my 11 year old daughter to get a mani/pedi, and she loved it. the shop is always very clean and well taken care of.... this shop was recommended to me, and i have recommended them to several people since. and in fact - i'm on my way out the door right now to get my fill done! read more

I was disappointed with the job the girl did. she layered the polish too thick I had to sit for atleast 30 minutes before they felt dry but turned out they weren't dry as they smudged when I left. read more
