Still 5 stars after 10 years! Penny has been my nail tech for a decade now and her pedicures are still unparalleled. I also get gel nails with her and do waxing. I wanted to address one of the concerns I keep hearing and that's of the owner's attitude. Lee has a huge group of customers who would only go to him. Admittedly he has a personality that can be abrasive sometimes. But it hasn't prevented me from going back to Penny monthly for the last decade. The service is that good! The owner is VERY nasty when making appts and when in salon he is constantly yelling at his customers. Also his Prices keep getting raised - he charges what a full nice spa charges with all the amenities... this place is in a run down tiny strip mall with no parking. If you want to be overcharged & have a hostile environment then go here, otherwise STAY AWAY from this NASTY owner who acts extemely unprofessional who treats all his customers poorly and is very nasty to all his staff too. The owner does nails really well. That was when I first started going there. The second time I came back for a manicure I was always a walk-in. It's like he seemed to get annoyed and frustrated at that. So I asked can I do a pedicure while I'm waiting for him? Oh he was upset because I asked to do a pedicure while I'm waiting for him to finish somebody else's nails and he was like, oh I won't be able to do your nails again wow. How unprofessional was that so I went back again and the guy the other guy did my nails. he's really good but he's really slow and taking like two hours to do your nails. then I went back a third time and the lady who's on the same side as the owner the last chair she really doesn't care she does nails if it's falling off, she gonna glue that shit back on and continue to do what she gotta do. I wouldn't use her. She's not a good fit for nails. She better off at doing pedicures that's her perfection. She can't do my nails. I'm gonna try the other lady who sits across from the owner in the first chair and see how that works out. That's if I ever return. I've been here a few times BUT I AM NEVER COMING BACK! I got a coffin shape full set & the nails were all different heights. There was a white residue on my fingers that wasn't cleaned off. I asked for a REGUAL Polish with matte on top and they neglected to tell me they no longer have matte finish AFTER they put the color on. Got my nails done for the New Year and since I am going on a trip soon. My nail technician was a man, I forgot his name but he was super nice and he made sure that my nails looked the best. He was having trouble with the look on one of my nails and did it over FIVE times to make sure it looked perfect! Which made me very happy. I got the dip, with a nude base and a black ombré effect on my nails. I would have given it five stars but the price was a bit much in my opinion. I paid $52 for my nails. I love this salon I've been going for the last eight years, but I have never gotten my pedicure there but just two days ago but a few days ago, I decided to check it out . The lady who did my pedicure appeared to be older and she had the first station. Everything was going great until she got to the massage part at the end of the massage. She started slapping my foot and I have sensitive blood pressure and that hurt really bad and I told her to stop she said okay. But when she got to the next field, she did it again and I told her to stop again! Maybe she didn't understand me, but that hurt really bad! I will continue to go to the salon for my hands, but I will never get my pedicure done ever again read more

From the outside, you might expect a little hole-in-the-wall type place - but this salon is actually quite clean and spacious, with updated furnishings and a good selection of colors. The technician was kind but not talkative. She was efficient, AND gentle on my nails (a big YES in my book). Was happy with how my nails turned out and the manicure only cost $10! I will definitely be coming back here. If you like fancy nail art, they have pictures of some of their work in photo albums on the front desk - really beautiful, incredibly detailed stuff. I love the way my nails get done and the lady is always available. However, on my last visit I asked for an specific color, since it was deep powder, I thought the color was going to improve or the lady was going to fix it. She ended up putting a gel coat to fix it. Went home sad, the next day I went and asked the lady to fix it because I didn't want my nails to look that way for the next 3 weeks. I asked the lady to go ahead and just take it off and do gel manicure, she replied " no no I do for you powder" when I was done she got the nerves to tell me that I have to pay again! As this was my first time at this salon, I decided to wait a few days before writing my review. Although I found the staff professional and courteous, their services are subpar. My daughter got a full set of acrylics with gel polish on Saturday, 5/2. By Thursday, 5/7 she was already missing a nail. As of last night, 5/12, she's now missing 4 nails. They literally fell right off of her fingers. Her pedicure is holding up well, though. I do not recommend this salon. I get my nails find at another salon. Best place to come get your nails done! There is no better place to go to get your coffin/stilleto/almond shape than here. Lee does his job very well and really cares about the way your nails end up, so he really takes his time. I love the way my coffin nails always come out. It was my first time at the salon. I called and I made an appointment for 6:30pm. When I arrived I waited 20 min before they could take me. And thats only because the person who was in the middle of her manicure already, didn't mind waiting. So unprofessional. I've been getting SNS manicure for a while now and I know the right protocol. The woman who did my nails did not follow it. She didn't even use the base or top coat from the SNS system. I didn't say anything, and I probably should have. She left the nails feeling rough, uneven and surrounding skin covered in glue. Very disappointed. I wasn't gonna leave a review at first, but my husband said that I should. After reading other reviews about this place, I decided to try it out. I had gotten my nails done (full set, acrylics) with my mom in PA but needed a place closer to home. They were very courteous in setting my appointment, and let me pick the best time for me. When I arrived, they put me with Lee, and asked what I would like on my nails. I showed him a picture of a design from Pinterest and he said "no problem!" He filled my nails quickly, but efficiently, and kept cracking jokes with me. When he started the nail design, he wasn't satisfied until it looked perfect, which I appreciated. At some point he asked me my name and he called me by name from that point on. I just called today to make a new appointment and Lee remembered me! My nails turned out great, and they didn't chip or anything. Highly recommended! I found my new nail salon! read more

I will never go to this place again , First of all it took 2 hours to get a manicure and pedicure . I made an apt with Christine and ended up getting a male that worked there. He started by doing a pedicure and cut off my skin on my toe that bleed for the entire time I was there besides being the worst pedicure I have ever had .He then did my manicure and used a Motorized file that hurt like hell on my nails . This is an okay spot if you're in a cinch, like me. I came for a gel manicure, and immediately was rushed once I sat down. I was a bit thrown off because the tech was eating an orange on her station and didn't clean it before she had me sit down. She gave me a basket of nail samples and asked me to pick a color, but was rushing me once I picked up a color. I'd hold onto one so I can compare it to another that I would choose, and the tech would ask if that's the one. I asked if I could do the chrome colors, and she just shook her head and said no, which gave me an air of "I really don't want to do that one right now." I didn't get why I was being rushed, because I walked in to one other client with three techs just sitting there and an hour and a half to closing. My being rushed forced me to pick a color I didn't like, and while she was filing my nails, I spotted a color on the wall I liked. I asked for it, but once she put it on, it wasn't as dark of a color I was looking for; because she rushed me originally, I said whatever and just stuck to it. She put 2 coats, and being that I compromised on color I figured I'd ask for 3 so to make it darker, and I told her it was to make it darker. She didn't really like that idea but did it anyway (of course). Something was iffy. She was making phone calls while doing my nails. Again, if you're looking for a quick mani, this isn't a bad place, but you get what you get here and you can't ask for anything else. Probably won't come back. read more

A woman named Penny did my nails....I asked her if she had done nails before because she took so long on each nail, had trouble shaping them, and seemed flustered. I spent $75 on my total tab and here we are one week later and every single nail has lifted and/or fell off. Been coming here for about 5 years. I live down the street from here. My mother in law goes here as well. Always friendly and if you are always in there they get to know you by name and remember you. They do beautiful nails! All the reviews about pain and waiting... you go to a nail salon you end up waiting I have been to many other nail salons where I have had to wait. I am only giving one star for being compensated five dollars for my experience. My experience was really terrible. I waited quite a long time and then was took in by a woman. She took quite a while to even start my nails and the woman next to me went through two people when my woman wasn't even close to done with mine. She cut my skin three separate times and I was bleeding, she was filing and I told her that I was bleeding and she continued to file on the bleeding. The product they used to prep my nails burned extremely badly. They gave me to another person to finish it because I was clearly uncomfortable and cut multiple times. The man apologized and finished my nails, which still took a long time and then compensated me five dollars off of the whole price, but the prices didn't match what the site said anyway even with the money off. I was there for over two hours total, I get my nails done regularly and this is the longest I have ever been in a nail salon in the most I have ever been injured I almost cried from how much pain I was in and I just wanted to get the hell out of there. He also told me that my nails looked funny because of how short I wanted them. Worst experience. I am now concerned about infection on the three cuts on my nails as they kept working on it, didn't put the usual bonding stuff most nail salons do. Overall a terrible experience. read more

I had been to this place first time looking at all the positive reviews and yet again I got fooled! I got gel mani with light pink shade for handsome $25...which is standard I guess...what do you expect....you want it to stay for at least couple weeks...of not a week max....??? Mine started coming off from sides on day 4!!!! Imagine what is the feeling! Not just one finger, but on multiple fingers, glue started coming off n on one finger, it broke the paint too. Apart from this, I had very tiny bubbles in two of the nails which I didn't bother to call them for fixing...I just overlooked it. But when I went back to get those two broken nails fixed, they didn't acknowledge that there are bubbles! And they fixed my mails with simple mani...not the gel..... and now my nail is looking bad with dark spots beneath the light polish! ....Thank goodness at least they didn't charge for fixing those two nails... This is an Asian place and what they speak is little unclear to me due to accent...and what they spoke within themselves about my nails was another mystery! Felt sad that they didn't show any concern as to how come it's coming off so easily..... Lady said calmly that when nails grow glue comes off...it's normal.... then what did their sealing glue did????? I already referred my friend here looking at nail art done on someone sitting next to me...n now I repent as to why did I rush to refer If you still feel positive after reading this review, you may flush your money down the drain .... read more

Love this place. Nails last forever!!! They are willing to try any design you want, try being the key word tho. If they can't do it, they can't, but for the most part have been able to do any design I've asked. Very nice. Takes a little long, but worth cuz it lasts for a long time, very durable. I will never come back here. I made an appointment for 6. I walked in, first time there, and she told me to pick a color. I didn't know where the color samples were. I had to go up to her, interrupt another person's pedicure to ask. She should have told me or handed me the box since I clearly looked lost. So rude already. I waited 40 minutes to be seated in the pedicure chair. Something told me to leave after the first 20 minutes but I stupidly stayed. The woman noticed I had a cut on my finger. I have anxiety and tend to pick and bite around the nails which is why I was getting tips on in the first place, it completely alleviates the problem. I was embarrassed because she kept starting at it but I still let it go. Then I sat down and my nail tech clearly told the other one next to her, doing someone else's nails, about the cut and they were both staring at it. Once again, very embarrassed but I just let it go. While she was filing my nails, she filed my skin so hard she actually made a cut with the file. It was on the same finger as the cut I already had but it was on the other side so I know it was from her. It was an old, used file so I hope I don't get an infection. Then the brush that she was using to put the powder on my nails fell on the floor and she didn't even wash it, she just kept on using it like nothing happened. Then, I told her I want the nails as close to the skin as possible since my nails grow like weeds and it's hard for me to function with long nails. Some of us have jobs where we have to type and need to be able to use our nails. I told her the first time she cut them they were too long, then again. I figured she would file them down after she was done, which is what other places have done for me to make them shorter. No one has ever had a problem getting them basically down to the skin. I was too nervous to say something the third time, so I stayed quiet. Then she finally asked if it was okay and I said they were too long and this woman rolled her eyes and said, "Oh my God!" so loud everyone could hear. I couldn't believe it. Then the other nail tech said, "You should have told her before" but I DID tell her I liked them to the skin and she didn't do that. I was honestly about to cry so I just said okay and looked down. I'm a very nice girl, I treat everyone with respect, especially those in the service industry since I worked in it for years and I know what it's like. Even if I have a bad experience I won't ever get rude or yell. I was extremely polite to them the entire time. Some people have trouble speaking up and this is exactly why. You don't treat paying customers like this. They embarrassed me so badly. They just very obviously kept talking about me in their own language. I was mortified and I just wanted to go home. The final job came out horrible. Some nails are uneven across the top, they're all still way too long, and the color I chose was very transparent so it definitely needed a third coat but since they took so long to take me it was well past closing by the time at that point and I was too uncomfortable to tell her what I needed. The whole set looks terrible and my nails are going to grow so fast I'll need to get them done in a week. Some people like them short and there shouldn't be an issue with it, especially since I've gotten exactly what I want other places in the past with no problems. I don't exactly have money to be spending on my nails every week, even two weeks most times. Now I have to go somewhere else to get them fixed. This place is to be avoided at all costs. read more

I decided to give this place a try and This place is very clean and professional. The lady who did my pedicure was really friendly but never asked me if I was comfortable. I was sitting in the massage chair in a Awkward position that made me feel tense. She never turned on the massage chair and proceeded putting plastic wrap on the sink bowl, I'm guessing for sanitary purposes but it felt weird. The water at first was very hot but then she changed it to a cooler temperature. The pedicure wasn't bad but it wasn't relaxing and it wasn't much of a massage. The best part about the pedicure was that they put a hot towel on my legs. I'm not sure if I will be returning because this is out of my way and wasn't too happy with my experience.
