Loved that they have freshly squeezed OJ! It was delicious! Costumer service is good. A few numb faces and low smiles, but their intention and service is good. Can't knock that. They split our meal into two plates for us so that we weren't eating off one plate and fighting for a turn to chow. read more

From the outside, Sandy's doesn't look like much. The old grey and pink building doesn't do justice to what is found inside. Sandy's is a classic local breakfast/lunch joint that rises above those in it's category for two reasons. The first reason is the food is damn good. From the moment I walked through the door, I met with the smell of delicious cooking. I'm not a breakfast fan, but the chorizo breakfast scramble that I ordered was fantastic! As always, I took time to scope out entrees ordered by other patrons. All dishes looked fresh and plentiful. The second reason that Sandy's stands out is the caliber of service provided. I have never seen so many servers work so quickly, efficiently, and with a smile. Everyone in the restaurant was constantly bustling to bring us our food, coffee refills, clean tables, etc. Our server was amazing. I asked for extra burned hash browns. She brought our food without the hash browns and explained that she took the initiative to send my under-cooked hash browns back to the kitchen for further cooking. I appreciate her taking the time to check our food orders and correct an error before bringing out to us. The only downside to this great place was that the coffee was pretty weak. But not everyone loves the same coffee. After scoping out the hot cocoa with whipped cream and sprinkles served in a boot mug at the next table, I will easily remedy this by mixing it up next time and ordering the cocoa instead! Good food will make me like a restaurant, but great service will bring me back. I look forward to becoming a regular at this newly discovered gem. read more

I received really good service here. They could have greeted me and my daughter but I understand they were truly busy. Their was a wait list we were fifth in line but we were seated within ten minutes. As soon as we were seated a gentlemen walked up and asked us for drinks. He was very kind and had a smile on his face. We got our drinks within two minutes from when we were asked. Since the restaurant was very busy the manager ended up coming by and taking our order. His name is johny and he seems pretty young and enthusiastic about his work place. Not only was he very attentive but his service and communication was on dial! He checked up on us every five minutes and if he didn't I would be brought more coffee or water whenever my cup seemed to be running low without having to ask anyone. My food was very good. I had eggs Benedict with country potatoes. Whenever I see this at a breakfast joint I can almost never reframe myself from having to taste it. In this case I am very glad that I did not. Because I loved them second best eggs Benedict I have ever had. First time with spinach on it. Very delightful! Not to mention the food came out hot and even my daughter was refilled with orange juice without extra charge. I mean this was one of the best experiences I have had at a popular breakfast joint. Besides the food and service they even had color crayons in a little tin bucket with a large variety of color crayons not just a few like most places we have gone too. The only down side that I could think of to the restaurant was the fact that it took pretty long for the cashier to get to me I waited probably around five minutes for her to finally get to me. Besides that I have nothing but good things to say about this place. Even the atmosphere was awesome certainly says it in the name. Country and junctioning! This is certainly a place I will be returning to with my daughter in the near future and I would recommend this to anybody who loves breakfast like me and my daughter do. After an ultrasound visit of my grand baby to be, my family decided to head over to Sandy's Junction. So the first problem we came across when arriving was the lack of parking, we ended up parking 2 blocks down. Normally I would've said forget let's go elsewhere but I work swings so time matters at this point. So our waitress was prompt bringing our drinks and taking our orders. The 2nd issue was the wait time getting our food, I think 27mins was a bit too long for 3 people but the coffee came around. Finally we get our food, well it looked great, right? (Pics included) only took a pic of my food. It wasn't what I expected....bacon was stiff & hard, the country potatoes were nearly mashed and the all raves about biscuits & gravy was defiantly not what I expected. Don't judge a book by its cover! Meanwhile.....as we sat eating, while the table to the right of us walked out cause their food also took too long, my daughter sees a baby cockroach coming from a frame on the wall walking towards our table. It was a small roach so she used a napkin to kill it. Well just minutes after that....the bus boy was clearing the table where the party of nurses walked out as he moved their table a huge cockroach came running from the table! I pointed at it and told the bus boy but he too seen it and then stepped on it smiled it off and continued on with his work. He didn't bother sweeping it up or anything just left it there. So we had enough left our more than half eaten plates, except my son in-law who ate all his food but we said nothing, paid our tab left our tip and will never come back to Sandy's Junction till it's fumigated because we all know roaches do not have just 1 baby in those sack!!! The lady said it would take about 20 minutes to get it while I waited in 20 minutes came and went so I just got up and I left and I told the cashier I'm not paying for my breakfast since I didn't get my entire order. this is. The waitress came and gave me the pits and gravy after I was paying and I said I don't want it and then she said thanks a lot for wasting my time and I told her no thank you for wasting my Saturday morning because it said it came with biscuits and gravy, and that's what I wanted. I will say this. I noticed a restaurant has gone down in the last five years. The quality of food is not the same. I don't know who is the manager there but the service is really bad. I'll never go back. I can't believe that the cooks didn't make enough biscuits when they know that they have a rush every Saturday and Sunday. We had breakfast at Sandy's Country Junction yesterday. It is a really good restaurant. The portions are large and tasty. The atmosphere was pleasant and warm. The staff was very attentive and helpful. Both Hisauro and I ordered a special of the day. I had the bacon, eggs, country potatoes with biscuits and gravy. It was very good. Ask for their chili salsa. It was not too hot and very tasty. I loved the biscuits and gravy. Hisauro had the most unique omelette. It was made with ham, pineapple and Swiss cheese. It was outstanding. We both loved the potatoes with red and green bell peppers. They have a good cup of coffee. It is strong and good but we had to use more creamer in it. I suggest they get a better creamer for their coffee. Everyone at the restaurant looked like they enjoyed their meal. There is a nice patio area outside with umbrellas, tables and chairs. We had breakfast here today on their patio, which is dog friendly! The servers were so nice and all came out to pet our dog (and washed their hands afterwards, of course). One of the servers even made him a water bowl, without us asking him. They had a lot of exciting things on the menu and the perfect location in Old Town with the perfect patio. I was super excited to try this place out because most of the reviews were pretty good. The place itself has a family feel to it and there is a lot of "regulars" so that looked like a good sign. The waitress who took our order was very nice and made us feel comfortable. I ordered the "chicken fried chicken" because I've never been to a place that served that before. When the food came out it looked amazing, the only thing negative about the way it looked was the toast. At most breakfast joints they bring you two buttered slices of toast that look quite large honestly. The toast that was brought out looked like it came from those 68¢ loafs of "bread" from Walmart. My chicken that came out was actually steak so they had to send it back. What came back out a few minutes later looked delicious. But boy was I wrong! The chicken was chewy and stiff at the same time. It had a rubbery/waxy texture that I could not eat. I was very disappointed. The gravy had good flavor I must say. The rest of my plate was a disappointment. I'm giving 3 stars for the ambiance of the place and how nice the employees were. read more

Ok now , I've been wanting to dine at this spot for a mad minute. Well today was the day, now I will. say pretty busy. Coffee was hot , service did take a bit , but finally assisted with beverages. Orange juice is served either freshly squeezed or Minute Maid. Menu is decent and offers the normal variety or omelets and such. I've heard the biscuits and gravy are top notch in the area, but did not try . Ordered the corn beef hash, hash browns little extra crunch , egg over easy. Meal was pretty prompt, bus service and follow through very distant. I had to inquire on refill of beverage, server was smiling and energetic, but could use more customer service, integrity. Now my post I solely based upon the numerous Elites that have posted , regarding, food, service and such, now I must say none of that was present during my visit, so my review has been derailed to another junction , like the normal breakfast spots locally. Finally got to try this place. Normally when we drive by there's a line of people waiting but not on this day. To get inside you walk through the outside patio area. Walked in and waited a few seconds before someone acknowledged us. It was busy but not crazy. The place is quaint with bar stool seating, tables and booth seating. Once seated we checked out the menu, lots of options to choose from. It took a while for a server to get our drink order and food order. I ordered the orange juice, freshly squeezed. It was to my liking with lots of pulp. For brunch I ordered the bacon, mushroom and cheese omelette with country potatoes. Food came out quickly and portions were perfect. The omelette was yummy, the potatoes not so much, I felt like they needed more seasoning. The coffee was ok, they do have vanilla creamer which was a plus. The decor is country home style. I did notice that there was random napkins and stuff on the floor, which made it look dirty. Coffee refills were timed perfectly. It's a little tight where the tables are so I always felt like I was sticking out too far for people and staff walking through. Upon checking out, the front cashier took a while to take care of us, so overall my opinion of customer service was they are laid back. For two of us, the bill was $45, which was pricey for what you get - standard American breakfast. I was surprised the freshly squeezed OJ costs $6.99, that's a little high if you ask me. I mean it was good but still. I'd like to try this place again and maybe try something different off the menu and enjoy a table outside. read more

This was a little hard to find on my GPS but my phone quickly walked me to it and the food was well worth it. I ordered the hot turkey w/ mashed potatoes and corn. It was absolutely delicious. The turkey was charred or grilled, big scoop of mashed potatoes and the turkey gravy was thick and had so much flavor. Huge portion so I even have leftovers for dinner. Parking sucks so be prepared to circle the lot a few times but it is worth the wait! I have to recommend the Italian omelet but be prepared for huge portions so come hungry. This has been my go to breakfast place for years and have decided to give them a review. I've tried many breakfast place in Fresno and this is my favorite. My Three things I look for when choosing breakfast: waffle,eggs Benedict, steak. I always get my usual STACK EM UP with waffles. The eggs Benedict is ok. My bf always get the STEAK AND EGG because he likes steak. I'm not a steak lover but I do love their steak because it has good flavors and not bland. ---Food: 4 star - sometimes flavors are not consistent but overall it's good. ---Service: 3.5 star - The service does need more improvement but they have gotten a little better since they hired more workers from years ago. --- Parking: 2.5 star - it's in old Town Clovis so parking is very limited. Go early if you want to avoid searching for parking. ---place: It's not that big of a restaurant so depending on the time they do get pretty pack. I've never had to wait longer than 10 min for a table and I go around 10-11am. read more

We came to this place because we needed breakfast and the guys at the tire shop recommended it. We were in a hurry as we were trying to get on the road for a backpacking trip. We had just sat down and ordered when we heard the tire was done earlier than expected. My husband went inside and asked to get the food to go. The waitress then brought us silverware and I told her it we didn't need them cause it was now to go. The waitress got really upset. After she walked away, my husband told me he had just told her that and was unsure of why she was upset. We then waited a long time for the food, which ended up being messily thrown into to go boxes. The food was good, but the old, short haired waitress needs a talking to. Requesting to go shouldn't be the end of the world, nor should it have to be repeated.
