Plain glaze, chocolate cake, chocolate frosted
    Logan D.

Few patrons inside around 8:45AM on a rainy Sunday. Out of Boston Creams (or weren't making them that day--couldn't tell). Pros: -Some parking Cons: -Cash only -- $3.35 for 3 donuts Plain Glazed Donut Plain glazed yeast donut. The base dough is pretty good--more light and fluffy. It could have had more glaze, but it was still decent. Chocolate Frosted Donut Yeast donut with chocolate frosting. Another solid donut. Chocolate Cake Donut Glazed chocolate cake donut. This one was a little bit dry, but not as bad as others I've had.

Lemon, cheese, raspberry danish. All exceptionally fresh and delicious

This place is one of the last locally owned treasures that still exists. Every staff member I have ever encountered greeted me with a warm small and fantastic service. My personal favorites/suggestions would be to get a slice of zucchini bread or homemade pastries. You get spoiled with the quality here. You will never want to settle for a chain coffee places baked good Ever again. Cash only here

The staff were very friendly, really great coffee and pastries - particularly the lemon bars. Everything looked amazing.

Great local coffee shop, kids loved the cupcakes. The place has a cozy welcome feeling and the staff is so kind. Defiantly a hidden gem.

Everything looked good but the whole cash only thing is a pain. Didn't have cash on me and had to walk out.

VERY VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED BREAKFAST. I was so hungry one Friday morning and I saw it out the corner of my eye on the way to the market. I had to circle around quite a few times before a parking spot opened up. I walked into the store on the lower level and the line was long and winding. I was craving just a bagel and was hoping it would be worth the wait. Well, the line went quickly and when I walked up to the register, I was BLOWN AWAY by the donuts and croissants and other pastries that I saw cooling on the bakers racks! The girl behind the register informed before my order that it would be at least a 15 minute wait. So, I ordered just the plain bagel I was craving with their "special" veggie cream cheese. It was ready and brought to me within 5 mins. LET ME TELL YOU! THIS BAGEL was the BEST BAGEL I've ever had!! I even have to admit that these were even slightly better than my own homemade sourdough bagels! It was so SO fresh and that "special" veggie cream cheese was next level! It was just a bagel with a little bit of wait, but slacktide has made an incredible impression on me. I can't wait to try some of their other breakfast offerings... sometime when the parking lot isn't so full (I've been watching and no such luck yet ). THIS PLACE IS WORTH THE HYPE! 5 STARS, ALL FACTORS WEIGHED!

Unfortunately, by the time we arrived, most of the baked goods were gone, and that is what we went there for so we were able to try a ham and cheese croissant and also a chocolate croissant. They were good, I feel like I need another experience to truly be satisfied because it looks like a cool place with Good potential, we wish there were more pastries we could've tried but they were all out. I will have to go back and try a coffee. Prices are a little bit on the high side. There is indoor seating. Service was good. Parking is available in the lot.

As a self-proclaimed connoisseur of cafes and a lover of unique local spots, I'm thrilled to share…read moremy experience with Slack Tide Coffee Co., a fantastic new addition to Kingston that opened its doors in May. The name itself, "Slack Tide," immediately resonated with me, bringing back memories of Chincoteague Island's pony swim - that perfect, serene moment when the tide is just right for safe passage for ponies through a narrow channel when the tide is neither coming in or going out. True to its name, this coffee shop aims to be "just right" in every aspect, and it absolutely delivers. I've had the pleasure of visiting twice since their opening, and each time has been a delight. My dirty chai was perfectly balanced, offering that comforting spice kick without overpowering the espresso. The London Fog latte was equally impressive, a smooth and aromatic treat. They've clearly mastered their beverage game, using quality ingredients and a skilled hand. Beyond the excellent coffee, Slack Tide offers some truly memorable eats. On their very first day, I snagged one of their limited-supply donuts - a big, brioche beauty that was utterly delicious. But the real star, and a personal favorite, was the Weekend Special Pub Breakfast Biscuit ($9.00) I enjoyed with my goddaughter after a softball game last month (see photo). This sandwich is ridiculously good: a perfectly fried egg, crispy bacon, a savory house-made pimento cheese spread, and a unique red pepper jelly, all nestled on a homemade biscuit. As with all biscuits, it's a bit crumbly; a multi-dimensional bite. It's worthwhile to stay in-store and devour it versus take it on the go and lose some of the magic to your shirt while attempting to navigate your way on MA-27 or to the laws of thermodynamics once you get it home. I ate on site while my favorite kiddo enjoyed a banana and peanut butter treat. The sandwich was a flavor explosion that I'm still thinking about. Also, I sent family members pictures while they were at brunch at some fancy Newport spot and they were quite jealous. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff are friendly and efficient. It's the kind of place that makes you want to linger a little longer, whether you're catching up with a friend or just enjoying a quiet moment. If you're in Kingston or passing through, Slack Tide Coffee Co. is an absolute must-visit. They've quickly become a favorite, and I can't wait to see what other delicious offerings they'll introduce. Don't miss out on this fantastic local spot - it truly is "just right"!
