Donuts and iced lattes were so cute and yummy! They had a great selection of seasonal items with fair prices.

I went to Donut King after someone suggested it. I decided to try double cup with one side being the cookie butter latte and the other side being the pistachio latte. And as someone who love lattes I can say that the lattes were 5/10 for me. They both had an artificial aftertaste that I didn't like but if I had to choose between the two, I'd pick the pistachio latte. I noticed that the syrup for them weren't mixed in and but sitting on the very bottom of the cup (especially the cookie butter side) and it was a little hard to mix them with the straw I had. In regards to the service, when I walked into Donut King, there were only two people seated and already eating (as this cafe also offers breakfast food), I was able to order with no issues however within 5 mins a swarm of people came in (about 15 people, not all together). I heard one lady speak about how she seen a video on TikTok which led her here. Either way although I ordered 5 mins before they all walked in, I ended up having to wait about 15/20 mins for my order while some who came after me ordered, received their orders, and left. This made me feel a little weird. I thought my order must have been forgotten but it was eventually called out as I was getting ready to ask an update on my order. read more

Place runs like a well oiled machine. Unique donut choices are worth the money. Coffee was equally as delightful. I honestly would come just for coffee. I'm not a donut person but my family loves donuts and these are by far the best ones. Yeast raised donuts are well risen, fluffy, light, and a tad sweeter than my liking but is still way less sweet compared to other places. Cake donuts are evenly textured and well flavored. All the donuts are very eye appealing. They also make special donuts and take special orders. Staff is super nice and helpful. If I had to pick a favorite - I couldn't. Like literally they were all helpful to customers and to each other. You could see that they enjoyed working there. Place has potential to be better but with boxes stacked high and orders getting cranked out, I can see why they haven't had the time to put thought into it yet. This mom&pop is so cute! The bakery is kind of small but the air smells like donuts even from the parking lot. You get to see the donut cakes that have been ordered and also the donuts they have in stock. Ok, so the donuts looked great, but I stopped in to pick up a dozen donuts to bring to the nurses at South Shore Hospital, and 6 donuts were $15 ($14 and change). Whereas, a dozen donuts from the local DD was 12.99. Ouch. While I definitely understand that Donut King Donuts offer much more than the average donut from Dunks, I can't afford to return the next time I'm picking up donuts for the nurse's station. read more

HOLY SUGAR HIGH. These donuts are fantastic and I'm not even a big fan of donuts! My husband wanted to check the place out so we came in and grabbed half a dozen donuts to go. There were so many to choose from! I love how the donuts were decorated to go with whatever is happening in the world of pop culture; for example, there were donuts decorated for the Masters golf tournament and Taylor Swift's album release. The donuts were light, fluffy and HUGE. They had almost a cake-like quality to them. Due to the "lightness," it felt like I could eat a million of them! Donut King has very fresh and very tasty donuts. They get extremely busy and it is very hectic trying to get a pickup order vs ordering at the counter. Preordering the day before is the smoothest way for pickup on weekends, though you might still find yourself waiting. The staff are very nice and helpful and the donuts themselves taste as great as they look. Only suggestion would be to try to figure out a better pickup vs ordering system because the lines for both seem to confuse the patrons. read more

I discovered Donut King after moving to Weymouth during the pandemic, and I have never stopped going since. Every time I get a chance to go, I never pass up on it. I loved waking up early and driving minutes here to grab a donut before I began my work day. They offer a huge selection of donuts, with rotating flavors depending on the holiday or season. My go-tos are the honey-dip donuts (especially when fresh!!!) and the Bavarian cream donut! They also have other breakfast items on the menu, such as the ham and cheese croissant, which I usually get with my donut. All their donuts are SO fluffy!! Even if you save it for the next day and microwave them for 10-20 seconds. I recently stopped by their booth at the Wey-mas farmers market and couldn't resist getting half a dozen cutely decorated donuts (I will post pics if I can find them). It was money well spent. You can also follow their Instagram to get updates on new flavors they offer each week. My sister and I would occasionally do this, but for the sake of my diet, we had to stop!! We got a dozen of the Halloween donuts. They are *very good.* Most are classic yeast risen donuts. If you're a donut fanatic these are comparable to Union Square donuts but a bit lighter. I'd categorize them as *very fluffy.* We picked up on a drizzly Saturday morning. The line out the door was really long even on a rainy day. That says something about the quality of the food, but also I recommend ordering ahead and be ready to show your order. There are only maybe two tables inside. Little donut shop with nice selection of donuts. Tried the apple cider donut holes which were big with a crisp outer crust. Cinnamon sugar on the outside, I could have done with more cinnamon but I really like my spices. They were out of Boston cream so I got this behemoth of an eclair. When you walk in, you're immediately engulfed by the wonderful smell of fresh donuts and the sight of colorful pastries. Highly recommend getting here early so they don't run out of your favorite. I was so happy to get the last strawberry shortcake donut. It was absolutely delicious, probably one of the best donuts I've ever had! The donut is light and fluffy, perfectly glazed and not heavy. Then the cream is whipped and sweet, but not overly sugary. And lastly they pack it full of freshly cut strawberries. All together makes for a delicious bite! BUT don't let that (or the long weekend lines) stop you from grabbing the most fun and whimsical donuts in town! Not for the healthy or gourmet crowd but if you like some good old fashioned greasy donuts with sugary cereals and other crazy decorations and toppings, this is your place. 4.75/5 - As someone who eats a lot of donuts, I'm impressed by Donut King. I just happened to be in the area and came across their storefront. Considering there was a lot of traffic coming in and out, I thought it was a good idea to give it a shot. It was BUSY when I came in around 7:30 on a Saturday, but the wait in line wasn't long at all. They have a nice list of donuts available and you can see them as you get closer to the counter in case you're still deciding. Everyone we interacted with (staff, owners, and other customers) were super friendly and it seemed like a nice and well run family-owned business. On to the donuts themselves, I absolutely adore their dough. It didn't have that overwhelmingly heavy/fried taste to it, was beautifully soft yet bouncy, and wasn't too sweet. The fun designs are appealing and the fillings were also pretty yummy. My favorite was their "Holy Cannoli" and "Banana Cream Pie." The one caveat is that some of their filled donuts could use a bit more filling... It's not so noticeable, but if you're used to donuts with decent fills, maybe be aware that these donuts might not be as filled as you might like.
