It's not really 'good' except for washing down bacon, eggs, and the sweetened refined carb of your choice. Now imagine that, but weaker, and you've arrived at PS Gourmet. I appreciate they may have more flavors than days in the month. However, I take my liquid gold with cream and sometimes sugar. Without anything to mask it, I realized I was served Pyrite!* it had virtually no flavor notes, and not much more flavor than the melted ice of a Dunkin! Spülwasser instead of coffee. Finally, there was the croissant, requested heated. This poor thing resembled the pre-packaged croissants sold at big-box discount retailers, only sliced, warmed, and wrapped in foil. The air fryer helped breathe some life into it, though I really shouldn't have to keep cooking supposedly prepared food. I wanted to say PS Gourmet has a place. It's cheap, and good to grab when you categorically don't want Dunkin' or Starbucks. I have lived in the area for about 5 years, and always try to support local businesses. However, interactions like today make it very hard to want to continue to do so. I came into PS Gourmet for an iced coffee and a breakfast sandwich. While ordering I was informed that the toaster was down so it would be a few minutes. Not a problem- I had no issue waiting. Long story short, I waited 25 minutes for my sandwich as multiple people came after me ordering drinks and food and getting their food first. I asked how much longer and they assured me it was coming up, and then they proceeded to serve 5 more people their breakfast sandwiches while I continued to wait. Very frustrating that about 15 people were served their food before me, when I arrived way before them. Doubt I'll be going back. read more

I have only come here when I want to treat myself, I rather make my own coffee/espresso at home. Their signature - PS Special. It's just mocha and cinnamon. I would recommend 50% sugar unless you have a sweet tooth. I like that they have online order, but wish they would not show both your phone number and email on your coffee cup(bucket in this case). read more

I don't know anyone who doesn't enjoy PS Gourmet! My top choice is the PS special coffee. The line is usually out the door (especially on the weekend); however, it does move fast as the employees are very quick and knowledgable. There are only two sizes of coffee -- regular and bucket. WOW! Best coffee ever! I have been all over the country and love coffee, and this just hit my top 5 easily! First-The location is small but enough room for a crowd and is very clean. There is four big chalkboards with clearly written menu items and they have alot to choose from which next time I'm in the Boston area I'll be coming back here to try something else. The staff was really friendly and fast as well. Waited about 5 minutes and was out of there! Second- whenever I visit a coffee shop for the first time I always just get a hot coffee first, and my god was it good. Seriously I could drink a couple a day. It was perfect. My fiancé got the caramel delight mocha and she couldn't stop talking about it! We grabbed a couple bites for the ride into the city and they were delicious. They do have breakfast sandwiches and everything is very reasonably priced. It's a good spot and I HIGHLY recommend checking this place out! read more

Stopped be here today after 1pm. I had the cinnamon toast crunch. That and the lime rickeys has always been my go to when it was in dorchester. The cinnamon toast crunch taste exactly the same and like how its suppose to taste. Yummy!! Will definitely come back for the lime rickeys!! read more

Coffee is fantastic. But today I was waiting for two sandwiches and I was given one. So then I had to wait for my second one while everyone else was readily getting their sandwiches first. Ok. That's fine. But I get in my car and my sandwich is completely inedible. It's burnt throughout and does not taste good. Finally PS has come to Braintree! Not only can you get a multitude of flavored coffee you can also get a breakfast sandwich to go. There are very few places which offer a grab and go coffee that also offer a homemade breakfast sandwich. I am not talking about a frozen egg patty thrown on a bagel, but made to order, real egg and cheese on a bagel. The coffee tends to be a medium brew similar to Mary Lous. They offer a variety of flavors in iced and hot, right not my favorite is Bananas foster. The service is quick and efficient. They do have a $10 minimum on credit cards which is not my favorite. read more

Finally, the good stuff has arrived! I just moved into the neighborhood and hearing that they were opening up a place right next to me was the best news yet. Their coffee is not insanely sweet, perfectly milky/creamy, and the people working have been pleasant. I look forward to trying all the flavors and also the breakfast foods. PS Gourmet there's a certain thing called the cost of doing business and credit card fees are one of them, you are a coffee shop you can not expect you customers to pay a minimum of $10 to use a card...$5 I could see but you want more then double the price of one cup of coffee?? And then your suggestion is that I just buy one of your gift cards or use your ATM (which has an additional fee), you've now made my quick coffee run into a multiple step process. If you had anything else going for you maybe I would give in to this absurd minimum but you don't so unless you change it I won't be back. So many people use cards we shouldn't have to spend 50% more every time we come in! read more

I love getting coffee here. My BF used to live near the Dorchester location that burnt down and we would drive from Braintree to the southie location as a treat. I won't give more than 2 stars until the coffee in the afternoon tastes fresh. Every time I have come after 2:00 PM the coffee has tasted like it's been sitting around all day. And I get it-it's much easier to use coffee, however long it's been sitting, until it runs out. But during slow times, if the coffee has been sitting for 60 minutes plus it should be a part of operating procedure to make new coffee. It's a coffee shop. The main thing sold is coffee. I was excited to try this place for coffee but was left with disappointment. Although they have an impressive amount of flavors the coffees I ordered tasted like flavored water. Despite putting regular for the amount of milk it wasn't enough. I had to go back home and add more because it was that bad. For the hot coffees I would say it was better, but for the iced coffees they overload with ice so there is no coffee in the actual cup. It makes me question whether or not the employees know how to make a coffee and if they know what they're making taste good. I don't think I'll be getting coffee here anytime soon. Don't waste your time here! Just go to Dunkin or Starbucks it will save you the trouble. read more

The coffee here is ok. It doesn't seem to be any different than its closest competitor in town that also has he flavor in the beans. What I really dislike about this place is that they have a $10 minimum to use cards which is crazy. On top of it, they expect you to use their ATM with a surcharge to get cash. I won't be returning based on that because I never have cash on me and a $10 minimum is nuts. Best coffee place . I was said when the Dorchester one was closed down because of the fire because i work in Boston and pass it every morning . The one in Braintree is good and close to my house but i leave for work before they open. The only thing about the Braintree one is the customers . It's not like Dorchester and southie. The ones in Boston customers are quick , in Braintree you got all the school kids and it seems like every customer orders more than one sandwich. So that usually leaves just one or two employees making coffee for a packed house . read more

I saw another review that said their coffee isn't as good in the evening and I actually agree with that. I go here twice a day sometimes and have gotten subpar coffee a few times in the evening. So I hope they fix that. Other than that it's great. read more
