Hidden gem, food melts right in your mouth. I can't even tell you what I had but it melted in my mouth. Yummy. The service was really good and the ambiance was good. Great find! We got another lunch place to visit. Great sandwiches, fresh and tasty. The soup was surprisingly good. Definitely hesitant when it's roasted carrots, but delicious! Only downside is the wait was quite long as they're short staffed. Overall the food was so good! Lots of healthcare workers during lunch. Plenty of tables and outdoor seating when weather is good. This seems to be a locally owned sandwich show. Definitely does not look like a chain. The guy taking the order was super helpful. He was running the register, running the food, and bussing the tables. He was very nice. I settled on the cheesesteak and the jalapeño corn chowder. The sandwich was awesome. I would have liked a little more heat or spice or flavor in the soup, but it was good. It had a cafe feel with some Paris vibes. It was clean. I'd say better than a chain. Support local. read more

A friend told me that Sandwich De Paris had the best sandwich's in San Antonio, and he wasn't exaggerating in anyway. I had the cheese steak sandwich, which was absolutely delicious. My wife had the teriyaki chicken sandwich and a cup of tomato soup, which she said was fantastic. We eat lunch at Sandwich de Paris every month. It's always good & fresh. I've had a variety of their sandwiches & all were very good. Fresh & tasty. The side salads are also very good. Fresh yummy sandwiches but a tad pricey. I got the tsukemono sandwich and it was really good. The bread was soft and fluffy and the meat was tender. It was about $10-12 for a sandwich and chips/soup/salad which isn't overall bad but I think it is more on the pricey side for sandwiches. The workers are really nice and the food came out quick. read more

Yay! another restaurant with good food, attentive and friendly service, and pleasant (and softly played) music. The sandwiches were tasty, the salad was fresh, the drinks cold. Loved chatting with the owner (?). Loved sitting next to a family with two little girls. They were a joy! And for many who might have read some of my reviews, I am ecstatic to note that I could converse with my wife and the owner, and have some fun smiling with the little girls without constantly having to plug my ears. Had a long wait at the Medical Center and had to quickly search for a sandwich place, came in at around 230 pm on a Monday and there were 2 people eating, I was able to order quickly! Decided to try the Tsukemono to go with a side of chips. The cashier suggested that next time to dine in because of how great the bread/ meal is when eaten fresh, so I decided to eat half of the sandwich as soon as I sat in my car, it didnt disappoint at all! The bread was fresh, the meat was flavorful, juicy and it blended well with the pickled veggies! I saved half of it for my husband to try! read more

First experience here. Great sandwich. I got the French ham sandwich -- best way to describe it is a slightly non traditional banh mi. Crusty nice baguette , cilantro , carrot but is made with a sliced , cured ham that has all the banh mi flavors -- 5 spice , etc and has a garlic aioli. 8/10. The ham is moist and tender which is an improvement on many banh mi where the pork slices can get to thick or dry. Will be back to try their pork belly sandwich and their cheese steak. The place was super cute and quaint, good service, and a delicious sandwich! We heard about this place when talking to a friend and she mentioned the French onion soup was bomb. Unfortunately, they were out when we went but the food was still great! I got the avocado chicken grill and the meat was juicy, bread was crunchy, and cilantro was a great touch. 15 years ago my wife was it regular at this restaurant. But after she finished her schooling she had to move away. After I married her and we relocated back to San Antonio for work she took me to this restaurant for lunch one day and I discovered it's amazing food. We come here regularly now for lunch, a few times a month. It's one of my favorite lunches in the city. My go-to is the vegetarian sandwich, every ingredient feels fresh and so clean. The mayo they put in their sandwich is so full of flavor it's unbelievable. The side salad is a perfect compliment in their house vinaigrette is delicious. I always judge a sandwich by its bread, And their bread is delicately soft with a crisp exterior. The service is great and fast and the main host waiter is is hilarious and quick witted. If you're not paying attention his jokes will go right over your head. Ambiance is what you'd expect for a cozy family run restaurant. I expect will be coming here for many years to come on the regular! read more

*no pics because I was too hungry to bother* We stopped by Sandwich de Paris (SDP) after a medical appointment and were pleasantly surprised with our experience. The cafe is located off of Louis Pasteur in the medical center area. There's plenty of parking, though the parking lot did seem crowded during the lunch hour when we went. It seems like employees no longer bother to greet customers these days, so the hearty welcome we received--complete with a detailed explanation of the menu and specials--was a nice change of pace. Throughout our visit, the employee taking care of the front of the house cleaned, bussed tables, and engaged everyone who walked in or out of the restaurant, asking everyone how they enjoyed their food. The same employee took our order and was still courteous, personable, and authentically engaging. You could tell he enjoyed being there and assisting customers. My husband ordered the Tribbiani wrap, which was their special, with butternut squash soup. He devoured the wrap (loaded with three types of deli meat) and the soup in record time. He did say that the butternut squash soup tasted more like chicken stock than anything, but it may have been an ingredient he couldn't identify. He enjoyed it regardless. I ordered the tsukemono sandwich with a side salad dressed with balsamic vinaigrette. The grilled sirloin was tossed in a soy marinade and was tender and juicy. The meat was topped with tomato, cilantro, pickled veggies, red onion and aioli on a soft baguette. I asked for an additional cup of pickled veggies because I felt the sandwich needed some acidity to balance the sweetness of the marinade on the meat and the aioli. I would love to see the option to add thinly sliced jalapeños or maybe a kimchi option (though I know I'm venturing into another cuisine with that suggestion). Maybe add some heat in the form of chili sauce or toss the pickled veggies in nuoc cham to stay true to the overall vibe of the sandwich. The balsamic vinaigrette on my salad was too thick and sweet for my preference. I would prefer a thinner vinaigrette with more balsamic. It leaned more towards a ranch or Caesar dressing thickness and less towards a vinaigrette consistency. This hearty lunch for two (with bottles of TopoChico and Fanta) was around $30 with a tip. I highly recommend SDP if you're in the area, and even if you're not in the area, I recommend swinging by to check out their food. In a day when customer service and good food in a clean establishment are few and far between, this gem needs to be appreciated and supported. read more

This is such a hidden gem in San Antonio right next to the schools. The restaurant gives off "home vibes" and the person taking our order had such a great sense of humor! I went during lunch as soon as they opened and they were busy very quickly, so I would try to get there as early as you can. I had their Tsukemono and their Pork belly sandwich. Both options were great, but I was most impressed by their pork belly sandwich. Each one came with a side of your choice(salad, chips, or soup). I went for the salad, but it wasn't anything special. Tsukemono reminded me of a banh mi sandwich. The meat was super flavorful and tender with pickled vegetables and cilantro. The pork belly sandwich will be one I will come back for. It was so tender and I was surprised by how easily the meat melted in my mouth. It was packed with smoked flavor with pickled onions on top that balances out the greasiness of the meat. They are a local business and I will come again to try more sandwiches. read more

I stopped to purchase a drink to accompany the homemade sandwich at this quaint establishment. The ambiance felt cozy and welcoming. One of the patrons happily pointed out his plate and said, "This is today's special." It looked like a Philly steak sandwich oozing with beef, cheese and vegetables from my vantage point. I was so tempted to dump my homemade sammy for something "shiny and new" after smelling the aromas and seeing this Philly sandwich but I stuck with my lunch plan, got my delish bottled blueberry/lemonade tea and got myself homemade brownie, which was amazing!! Stopped by here after an appointment in the area. I don't think I have ever been here, but I have no idea why. This is a locally owned small business. The menu is creative, and the service is especially friendly. I had a delicious lunch in the cafe style setting and I really enjoyed it. I opted for the Mediterranean sandwich on a wrap. I really appreciate the wrap option. Sometimes, you are just not in the mood for the extra bread. My food arrived quickly despite it being lunchtime. Very impressive. The wrap was filling, and the flavors went so well together. The dressing added the extra zing to the wrap. This came in a combo where you can pick soup, chips, or a side salad to compliment your sandwich. The portion is enough to make you full without needed a nap after lunch. Perfect size. If you haven't been to this little gem, you're missing out. Chef Matthew is killing it with his fresh ingredients and culinary approach to delicious soups, sandwiches and baked goods. We arrived as soon as they opened and were greeted by chef who helped us make our decisions on the sandwich choices. Everything we ordered was incredibly fresh. Seriously, chef's kiss!! I've never been much of a sandwich person but this place quickly changed my mind. The menu is a fun fusion of Asian/french and chef produces amazing options for all dietary needs. Support small businesses! This is my go-to lunch spot guaranteed to brighten your day. They have a lunch special that includes their soup de jour which is always so good. I always check out their special of the day because it's loaded with goodies. I like the herb royale and the tsukemono. It's very NY/Northeastern deli feel (they're from Pittsburgh, but you get my drift, right!?). No nonsense. Small inside area. No tables inside. Just enough room to look at the menu, order, and go wait outside. I opted for the chicken bacon ranch on hoagie. What came out was a decent size sandwich, but incredibly messy and soggy. There was so much juice/ liquid the sandwich quickly became unmanageable and just disintegrated. Look, if you're going to serve a sandwich that messy, please upgrade your napkins. It was a one bite - two napkin ratio. The sandwich was good, but the mess and difficulty eating it just took away any enjoyment. Additionally, the flies outside rivaled the worst I've experienced. Do you remember the scene in the Lost World, Jurassic Park movie when the hunters found the Rex nest!? Okay, okay, maybe not that bad, but it was a lot. Hang some fly bags or strips or somethin'. Found price to be a little high. By the time I bought chips and a drink, plus tip: $22. Just FYI: my co-worker disagrees. He thought it was the BEST SANDWICH HE'D EVER HAD. So, yes, go give them a try, but bring a beach towel for clean up.

While preparing my sandwich, I watched the employee place ham directly on the scale without wiping it down, using parchment, or putting down any kind of barrier. When I asked if they could place something underneath the meat before weighing it, the response was simply that they "sanitize it." The scale clearly wasn't clean. I could still see leftover meat on it and given that this location serves chicken, turkey, roast beef, pork, and more, cross-contamination should be a major concern. Customers should never have to point out that a dirty scale needs to be wiped before food is placed on it. What makes this even more frustrating is that I've experienced this same issue at other Potbelly's locations. I drove farther out to this store specifically hoping it would be different, but unfortunately the same unsanitary practice was happening here as well. Food safety should always come first, and this experience left me questioning whether proper sanitary practices are being followed across the chain.

The faux rustic vibe is nice break from the busy outside shopping center. Parking is super easy, but again, it can get busy. Lunch here wasn't super busy when I went but it does take a little long to build these sandwiches so plan ahead.

The bread was fresh, the vegetables were crisp, but I have a strong preference that the meat isn't wet or saucy and Banh Mi 102 puts sauce on their grilled pork. I also saw that they have a special pho coming soon and a fish cake banh mi on the menu. I wish I had seen that one before ordering because it sounded delicious! Maybe if we find ourselves back in the area, I'll try it next time!
