Super clean restrooms
Amber S.

This location is new. It was really delicious. I had a salad and it was fresh. The service was wonderful. Hubs had the power bowl and the beans took a long time (?) ... I guess they make and mash them there... other than that, everything was excellent. The restrooms are super clean and the store is bright with tons of windows. They have an amazing 25% Military discount so be sure and ask for it!!!

FIRST TIME VISIT! This is a brand-spanking new business in my neighborhood on the Far Westside of SATX. I had read reviews on social media from neighbors saying they weren't impressed but on a Saturday night with the anticipation of a Bears vs. Packers Playoff game and no dinner plans yet, I decided to make a hard left while driving home on Potranco and give this place a shot for take out. THE LOCATION: Easy to find on the far left end of a strip mall that has just a few other businesses including a Dollar Tree and Mr. Teriyaki and several vacancies, too. (I love that my neighborhood is comin' up with the development of new retail and dining establishments along Potranco and near the 211!) TONS of parking. THE MENU: Wow! I literally thought this was just a burger joint. I was delighted to see they had actual plates/entrees because I'm a "dine with a fork" kinda girl and my hubby can legit eat a burger every dang day of his life. Not I. So tonight, we both get what we want. The menu is comprised of burgers, brick oven pizza, salads, milk shakes and more. The cashier tells me you can mix the shake flavors if you like. And when she tells me that EZ's is known for their rosemary chicken, I'm sold. I order the 1/4 (white meat) chicken plate that comes with steamed veggies, a white rice w/black beans and corn and focaccia bread. The hubby gets a bacon cheddar burger combo and we each sample a milk shake, chocolate mixed with cherry for me and an Oreo cookie shake (cuz he doesn't take risks when it comes to food). LOL! BONUS!!! They offer 25% discount to military and veterans! THE SERVICE: First off, the cashier to (wo)man the front was extremely competent, gave me suggestions and made me feel confident in my selections. All the staff behind the counter was busy minding their tasks, busy hands, all movement. No one standing around twiddling thumbs. I love it. THE SPACE: I was welcomed to sit and wait at a cushioned bench at the far end of the restaurant. I took advantage of the opportunity to check out the back hallway and women's restroom. The restroom, while mostly functional, was not impressive. At all. It didn't look like a brand new space in a brand new building, nor did it smell new or pleasant, has only 2 stalls, one of which was not in working order. The best thing about it was the pretty faucets. Mind you, the water was even slow to drain from the sink. Ick. As for the dining area, it has a cool diner vibe. Nothing flashy, but a simple, modern space. I was happy to see almost every table occupied by chatting couples and groups. I'd say the noise level is pretty moderate. The kitchen is open and you can easily see kitchen staff preparing meals and shakes and popping pizzas into a pretty tiled brick oven. I also noticed metal silverware at self serve stations. THE FOOD: I enjoyed the taste of my rosemary chicken. The chicken portion was off. It was like half of the chicken breast was cut away, with just the rib bones attached. I loved the crispy skin and seasoning. The meat was a bit dried out and I had difficulty swallowing it, literally choking once or twice, but I'd order it again to see if the experience gets better, ordering the dark meat instead. The steamed veggies were comprised of thinly sliced zucchini, carrot and yellow squash and tiny broccoli floret pieces. Very simply prepared but enjoyable. The rice was not very flavorful but I still enjoyed it. Also a very simple side dish that is combined with few pieces of corn kernels and black beans. The focaccia bread had a crispness to it that I loved. If you read my reviews, you know my favorite texture of food is crispy. :) My husband's burger was a very good size. He always leaves out the lettuce, onion, tomato and pickle so his burgers are usually pretty pathetic looking but this one still had volume. Impressive. He enjoyed his burger a lot and commented specifically on the taste of the beef patty after his very first bite. Our shakes were fine. I don't care for chocolate syrup in my shakes so I wouldn't do chocolate again as it tasted heavily of chocolate syrup, but the cherry was a nice touch! They use the juice from the maraschino cherry jar since they have cherries to garnish the tops of these frosty drinks. They didn't make my shakes to-go so I asked for lids and they weren't domed. Afraid some contents would come bursting out the sides of the lid, I ate both cherries and held my breath as those lids snapped into place. I also asked for a drink carrier and it is surprisingly heavy duty! Corrugated cardboard! See photo. THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE: Good. I'd like to eat in-house next time and change up my food and drink order for a different experience. I hope they improve on the women's restroom. I will be back. * sign up for their rewards program. You get a 25 pt. sign up bonus and I believe you get $10 credit for every $100 or 100 pts. earned.

A very small hotdog. For the price you should be getting two of these.. this is like a kids meal and it's on the regular menu
Debbie V.

Your evening staff (cashier) described the hot dog to be a good size and it wasn't. And then they were out of chili. Highly disappointed. The chicken sandwich is probably the best on menu. I will speak to gen manager about this. Staff was unprofessional

1st time trying their establishment. Got a Chedder Burger (Med-Well), fries, and a Diet Pepsi. Welcome to the neighborhood. I will definitely be back.

My husband and I ordered a classic burger which was 1/2 pound of beef. It was very delicious! I ordered a side of fries and my husband order half/half (half fries and half onion rings). The food was good and the atmosphere was vibey! The customer service was really good too and we had a good experience overall. Coming back soon! Food rating: 9/10 Atmosphere rating: 8/10

Jersey Mike's Subs

When I tell you I love Jersey Mike's, I mean it in a deep, borderline-spiritual way. Not many know…read morethis, but during my college days, I managed a Jersey Mike's. I had a small, scrappy team of 12 who could whip up sandwiches faster than a Formula 1 pit crew. Those were wild times. We didn't just make sandwiches; we made giants-absurd, cartoonishly large creations. These were Scooby-Doo-level sandwiches: towering monstrosities where you'd need two hands, a spotter, and maybe an engineering degree just to take a bite. I swear, some of those subs looked like they were designed to fuel Olympic athletes for an entire season. And the meat? Oh, you'd think we were carving up slabs for a medieval feast. But I digress, let's snap back to why we're really here. Today, I ordered the #8 (Club Sub), a turkey and ham classic with provolone, bacon, mayo, and a crisp layer of lettuce and tomatoes. Now, let me be clear: I'm usually a #9 guy. The #9 is my sandwich soulmate, my ride-or-die sub, the one I'd defend in a court of law if it ever came to that. For reasons unknown, the app didn't let me select it, and I'll admit, there was a moment of panic. But then I looked at the #8, and I thought, "Alright, let's give you a go." And let me tell you--this sandwich was beautiful. The turkey was tender, the ham savory, and the bacon crisped to perfection. That mayo brought everything together, and the veggies were fresh enough to remind me of my mum's garden back in the day (a bit of an overstatement, but you get the point). I got it "Mike's Way," of course, because who wouldn't? The vinegar, olive oil, and seasoning drizzle made this sub sing like Sinatra on a good day. Picking it up in person added another layer to the experience. There's just something about walking into a Jersey Mike's. The atmosphere hits you like a warm wave of nostalgia--slicing machines humming in the background, the aroma of freshly baked bread in the air, and the hustle of the team working in perfect sandwich-making harmony. It's fast-paced, but not rushed, with a sense of order and camaraderie that feels oddly comforting. It's the kind of place that makes you feel like part of the process, even if all you're doing is watching from the counter. This Jersey Mike's team absolutely smashed it. Their focus and hustle reminded me of my own crew back in the day--working hard, probably having a laugh or two in between orders. So to those workers today: Enjoy your time with each other. These days may seem fleeting now, but someday, you'll look back and realize you were building something special--sandwiches and camaraderie alike. I'm proud of you lot. Keep making those subs with heart and pride. Five stars, no question.

Also, the subs were delicious!

Being that each sandwich costs a little over $11, I was highly disappointed... If I wanted a veggie sandwich, I would have ordered one, being that the options were available. You can taste the lemongrass but not overpowering. My favorite part of the bowl is the nuoc mam sauce that is poured over the warm noodles. Then you let it sit for a minute so the sauce is absorbed. We had the chance to try their mochi donuts before the machine broke. They are smaller than the mochi donuts that we usually buy from the other side of town. But their donuts are always fresh and the icing is not too sweet. It is sad that they don't make donuts anymore. I was heartbroken when the lady at the counter told me that they will stop making the donuts because they wont be replacing the donut machine. What did we choose tonight? *Fried Mushrooms were unsatisfying. Slacking on flavor, breading overpowered. *Southwest Turkey Melt Sandwich, full of creative ingredients. Avocado, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pico de gallo, and even some kettle chips! Turkey was tasty deli thin cut, flavors came together well. Texas Toast was grilled with the right amount of butter an oil (you know how often places serve it drenched in oil!). I will say that the cheese was a little firm and the sandwich a little lukewarm for a "melt". Chose *Potato Salad as the side, which was tastier than expected; appreciated that there was not as much mustard or vinegar as most. *Mushroom Swiss Burger ironically had cheese that was far more melted than the Turkey Melt. Which was awesome, of course. Fresh and flavored sliced mushrooms (unlike them fried ones), a tasty fat patty (moist, tender, maybe a little extra flavor needed), and buttery, slightly sweet buns. Overall excellent. Came with *Fries, which were satisfactory; some were burnt and dry. Dessert was a *Fried Twinkie with Raspberry Drizzle. Oh, it was heavenly.
