We called Sandri Oil when our landlord's usual contractor, Country Oil, made faulty promises and went back on their promise to bring us oil (we had no heat) for our newly rented house. While Country Oil charges $120.00 for emergency deliveries, Sandri charges $60.00 Sandri reps were courteous, responsive, and set up our new customer account and got us our oil within 1 & 1/2 hours. Now, that's service! read more

Update: after continuing to have the same error code and paying $1300 in 3 months for repairs I still continue to have an issue and now they are not returning my phone calls, Sharon tells me she needs to talk to Rudy the service manager to see if he wants to bring daikin, still have not heard back. On top of that Sharon must be screening my calls because she finally picked up after a month and me complaining to reception and didn't address who she was nor ask for my name or address and knew exactly what I was talking about. I would go with another company but have been told since Sandri already has mucked around with my machine so much others don't really want to get involved in a warranty issue, buyers beware go elsewhere and don't use Lauren as your salesman! read more

I am steaming! Sandri Energy installed our mini-splits some years ago. In recent days--and two years ago--we experienced a leak in our bedroom closet. At that time, we called the roofers who put in our roof, and they fixed the chimney flashing. We thought this was the end of it, but again, our closet ceiling is leaking. The roofer returned, and checked. All good. He suggested that it might be our mini-split on the third floor that was leaking. I called Sandri, only to be told that our last service call was 2022--and they discontinue service after two years. We would be considered "new customers," and they were not taking on any new customers! How on earth can this be a good business model? This is "customer service"?????? read more

One of their employees passed me in one of their company vans in the middle of Charlemont, MA in a no passing zone, double lane in front of a school. I reported it to the Company with no respone. Very unsafe employees. read more

This company treats their employees like dirt. I spoke with one of their plumbers more casually and he admitted the owner messes with customers, holds grudges, has no sense of understanding and most of all, is driving the business into the ground. I told the guy to go solo - and he might! read more

We have had trouble with the high-efficiency gas burner Sandri installed. Even though we have a service contract, we were charged $450 for a service call that did NOT fix the burner, and then were told we needed a $700 part (plus installation labor) to MAYBE fix the burner. When we balked at that, we were told that the burner was too old and that we should replace the burner. I am having Sandri and another company quote a replacement cost, but am inclined to drop Sandri altogether for their poor and expensive service. read more

This company has the worst attitude and customer service I've come across in my 45 years of owning houses.

I gave 1 star because I have to at least give a star... They aren't even deserve Negtive 5 stars.... Terrible service! They kept sending wrong person to my house and did not right. I used about 2 months to deal with them! And most important, the heating system has not not been fixed!!! Incredibly awful! Don't give them business and you will thank me! read more

they took all my information, credit card, tel number, made appt time and day- then I waited and waited- they did not show up at all- I called, was told guy was out sick and other in "training" no apologies, rude unprofessional read more

As I write this I am in bed and the house is over 90 degrees in the middle of winter. It was going like that all day while we were at work, using up who knows how much oil and doing whatever damage to the system. A technician made a mistake with some installation and I came home to a house that was super hot. Then I sat out in the cold then in my car for an hour and a half waiting for this company to respond. What upsets me is the way they handled the situation. Up until now they did a decent job but today was a bumbling fumble. read more

Further information on Sandri. When I had the geothermal system maintenance done in 2014, we found that Sandri had put in a regular furnace filter and not the filter that the system required. It was further confirmation that Sandri did not put sufficient time into this very expensive job. read more

A case of the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing -- I gave Sandri Oil many chances, but they keep making dumb mistakes! I've had a total of three refunds or adjustment to my "bills" as a result of screw-ups and technical incompetence by the Sandri folks. Good that they admitted the mistakes but at this point I've had enough. Example 1: I needed a standard annual tune-up for my oil burner, so I called for a quote. When the bill came, it was about $15 more than the quote, for no reason. Called to complain-- 1st refund/adjustment. Example 2: I called for an estimate for a new water heater as mine showed a small leak at the bottom. The guy showed up very soon, let himself in as instructed, and inspected my water heater. He called my cell - "where's the leak!" he angrily asked. Apparently he was told it was an emergency when it was not. I got a bill for $70 or $80 for the emergency call -- 2nd refund/adjustment. Example 3: My oil burner started clicking off and frequently needed to be reset. This time I called Surner Heating to come and inspect. They told me that the electrodes were not installed correctly (when the tune-up was done). I called Sandri to complain, and after some argument with some jerk, and sending in my Surner bill, they compensated me the cost of the Surner repair -- 3rd refund/adjustment. I've known Surner heating for 20+ years when I lived in Amherst. But thought I'd give Sandri, the local company, a chance when I moved to Montague. Big mistake. Unpleasant office/phone staff on top of the incompetent technicians - never a friendly experience for all the times I called for an oil delivery. And by the way, the estimate for the water heater was excessive to say the least - "$2400 for everything" I was told. Ridiculous. I got the job done by Mal Cichy for about half the cost. Surner's oil price per gallon is a few cents cheaper too. Sandri Oil owns several golf courses as per their website. Perhaps that is where their heads are at... read more

We discovered after normal business hours Thursday that we had no hot water. Every interaction we had with Sandri, from Kathy who took our after hours call and got us set up for first thing in the morning, to the office person who called us at 7:32 a.m., our service tech (Avi?) who showed up at 8:30, and our new water heater that showed up with another great service tech later that morning - it was really seamless and perfect. We had hot water by about 1:00 if not earlier. Great job everyone! Renee and Harry Keramidas read more

In all fairness, I need to add that the manager called us and apologized for all the problems. A technician came the next week and cleaned the furnace for free. read more

called Sandri to service my propane generator. A few months ago they had a big splash in the advertising that they had acquired the company that installed this unit so I called and got an appointment well over a month in advance. I have 1 weekday off and schedule the things I need to do during a "normal" workday. When I got this appointment I rescheduled the other things I had on that day because getting this generator up and running is very important. On the day scheduled the office person called 10 minutes AFTER the scheduled time and said they needed to reschedule. Got another appointment on a day of the week that I work with the understanding that it was as early as possible (I ended up with a 10:30 appointment) and let my work know I'd be late but would be in by noon. My dog will only let people in if I am here to let them in. After that she's fine. I waited until 11:15 with no calls and no service techs showing up. Left and went to work. It's after 6 and I'm home. I don't think they ever showed up. No message on either phone, no note on the door, nothing. How does a company get so important that they can disrespect their customers in such a blatant way? I will find another company. I will never suggest this company for anyone to use. They used to be a very good, reputable company but no more. read more

Just called Sandri for a fill up on my 1,000 gallon propane tank that I own. They quoted me $2.49 per gallon. I got quotes from others for $1.59 per gallon. How can such a large company like Sandri not be competitive on price? Consider this scenario. You need a fill up in your car and one station is charging $1.59 and a station across the street is charging $2.49 for the same gas. No brainer on which one you are going to buy from. Sandri is a bandit! . read more
