Excellent beer! Located inside Coors Field in a preserved and restored building. I enjoyed their flagship beer that on the outside is known as Blue Moon. Remarkably I have never had it before, but figured I better try it while visiting here. I had been told by my tour guide the day before that it tastes particularly fresh here compared to what you might find in the bottles. Glad I stopped in and I thoroughly enjoyed their draft beer! Well, there's not much to say about this place because it's just a place to grab a beer before the game. Yes, they have food. But I didn't get any food. They have plenty of seating which my friend and I were able to sit down for awhile before the game. Staff was friendly. I had one beer which I enjoyed their draft. There are several good things about this brewery, such as they stay open late. This place serves drinks after the 8th inning, which is when most of the spots at the stadium stop. Also, they have the original blue moon beer recipe on tap before it was sold to coors this anywhere else. There are several different beers on tap that aren't served elsewhere at the coors field. They do serve food but stop after a certain time. There is a place to drink indoors, and they have you exit where the sidewalk is as they close up the stadium. The people working here are all very friendly. The place itself is clean. read more

I don't like to leave bad reviews. But I was very disappointed with the food here. The burnt tips were not burnt, but more like steamed chunky dog food. The "Texas toast" was just a slice of bread not even toasted. The potato salad wasn't bad. But that wasn't what brought me in. Way better choices in the stadium at the smaller venues. read more

As an avid lover of baseball, beer AND The Sandlot movie I knew when I was coming to a game that I'd have to stop here for a beer. The spot is located in Coors Field which was really cool. I hoping for more of a brewery/beer bae vibe but it really wasn't. Next to the bar to order was a bbq spot. It made the whole area smell like sweet sauce which wasn't bad but the location was a tad bizarre. The beer however was good but nothing really special. Just Coor's mainstays renamed. Whatever, I was still excited. I order the Smalls Pilsner, cause duh, it was killin' me (I'm lame, I know). The price was on par with everywhere else so it's not like it's a bad deal. The staff was sweet which helped too. I def recommend a stop here for a good pour. read more

We went to Sandlot after a Coors Field Stadium Tour on a non-home game day this May. It only had a handful of people in there and the bartenders were very attentive. They even moved the TVs to face us and turn up the game. We sampled several beers ($2 samplers) and settled on a couple for a full pint (Agave and a Sour). I love the easy, laid back woody look of the place. I am sure it gets crazy on game day (when the Rockies are at home), but I would give it a try. Beer during game day! Kind of a cozy woodsy look to the place. Nice bar to hit up during game days for the Rockies. Seemed like a spot to enjoy a few Blue Moons as it seems like it was the main featured beer here. As you are in Denver beer paradise they do offer other beers too but it's really a Blue Moon bar. Stopped in for a brew before the game when I was here on biz not too long ago. Attentive bartenders with a nice easy going vibe here. Worth a stop if wanting a beer and in the area for a game. Just don't expect a killer craft beer selection. Other than that there are a ton of other bars in the neighborhood to check out as I would assume this place is very quiet off season. read more

This is one of the few spots my husband and I had not yet been to at Coors Field, so we decided to stop in before a game the other day. As long as you have tickets you're welcome to come in on game days. It says they open 90 minutes before the game, but we got there 2 hours before and we still got in. The Sandlot itself is just a bar and brewery with a few tables and chairs in the corner with some TVs. There is a little food area right next door so that you can grab some food and go sit down though. It's a little cramped, but it's cool to see where Blue Moon was started and grab a beer before the game. Fun place, good beer. And don't forget to try the 20th Anniversary Ale while it's available this season. read more

Came in here while at the Rockies game and it was a decent joint. I ordered the burnt ends, a loaded baked potato, and IPA to wash it down. Burnt ends were good, not a home run, but good. The loaded baked potato was on par and the beer was nothing to complain about. The service was decent as well. I would come here again but would just stick with the burnt ends and a beer. read more

We come here occasionally when downtown and needing a Blue Moon fix. I've only been here once during a game, and so can't comment on it or any sort of food items. We seem to luck out and come at the times where the same solo bartender is working. She's lovely, very friendly, and full of wakeboarding tips and stories. Drinks are reasonably priced and you can get tiny tasters for cheap to try out their seasonal options. I believe little snack options are available for purchase as well, like pretzels or peanuts. The decor is what I love the most, and how there are so many seating options. We always enjoy sitting at the bar as you get to meet out of towners and interesting locals. We've never had a bad time and look forward to our next visit! read more

I visited the Sandlot during the debauchery that is GABF. I was here for 5 days and this was one of the stops on the tour. I am a beer nerd and for me to give such a high rating to something that is owned by Coors and serves Blue Moon shows how good this place is. They had all German traditional styles pouring at all of their stations and the couple i had were just darn good. The Pilsner and Helles Bock were clean, crisp and refreshing. It was honestly a nice change from the rocket fuel 2xIPAs and Imperial Stouts I'm used to drinking. Everyone I was with was also quite impressed. The layout is nice and has a nice pub feel to it... with the requisite sports memorabilia and view of Coors field. I did not try the food, but the beer more than made up for it. I wish PETCO park had a place like this!!! Highly recommended read more

Came here after a Coors Field tour on a non-game day. Love the ambiance here with all the woods and with the games on the big TV's. Service was stellar and the bartender even turned one of the TV's over for us and turned it up so we could hear the game. I'm sure it's a madhouse on game day, but I'll definitely be coming back! I love me blue moon, all the varieties and to have the option to enjoy the beer - batch brewed a mere few blocks from my house - yes please! It is still amarak operated establishment - but they do train their people on the beer, and the specialty beers that are available for tasting. The place was redone in all beetle kill wood and opened up to feel more homey vs cafeteria like! We don't go to baseball games, really the only reason we would would be to come here, and now we don't have to pay the "cover fee" of the game ticket to get here - they are open 2-8 most days. There are some hour restrictions on game days, so be aware of that. I like supporting locally brewed beer, and hopefully the anti-coors snobery wont keep the masses away, it's a nice place to enjoy a brew, great patios once it gets nicer! read more

Came here for a Crafty Ladies Beer Club event and had a pretty good time. The brewery itself was interesting and it was fun to get to try some of the lesser-known/secret brews that Blue Moon and Coors are working on in this small brewery connected to the ball field. With as many baseball games as I go to every year, it really is a surprise that I haven't stopped in here before. I'm looking forward to getting some of their lesser known brews in a few years (cuz that's how long they take to get them out...) The only bummer, and I'm not sure who was to blame for this, but the food ran out really quickly and more than half the attendees were left snack-less. When serving A LOT of high alcohol level beers, you have to make sure the food doesn't run out or you are gonna have some drunkies on your hands. read more

So, I was one of the fortunate participants of Craft Ladies that was held here in November 2012. 5 STARS for the AMAZING brewery tour. It was so fun to get to explore the inner workings of this great brewery. And, we got to try one of the beers right out of the fermenter (this was definitely my favorite brew of the night). 3 STARS for the beers that we tried. Most of them were really good, but a few missed the mark in my opinion. One of my favorites was Proximity, which is a mix of beer and wine-DELISH. However, there was a farmhouse ale that really missed the mark for me and most of the other ladies at my table. Will definitely return this summer before/during a Rockies game! read more

So glad they're opening during the day every day now, and you don't need a ticket to a game to get in (at least on non game days) I admit, I'm a blue moon drinker... and this place is kinda like Blue Moon disney land. Of course you can get the more or less regular stuff, as well as their tasty seasonal stuff, but you can also get stuff that you can't anywhere else, possibly ever. Tongue Thai'd... taste like beer thai food. Beer brewed with actual coffee beans? Yum! Lots of other stuff, and it changes weekly or so. They did a great job re-decorating the place too. Ok, so I am only giving them three stars because I know they can do better than they did today. I would only give a one star today. It is Opening Day so I will cut them some slack. Their food is better than the other food in the stadium so we typically stop here before the game starts. I love the pulled pork sandwich but it was cold today. Not sure why? I waited in line for more than 30 minutes for a beer only to be told sorry they aren't taking credit cards today. What??? They should have put a sign up to inform their guests before everyone waits forever in line. Everyone was getting so upset. This obviously was not the day to eat here, and to be honest I don't know if I will be back anytime soon. We are regulars at Coors field so I hope they can do a better job in the future. read more

It always amazing me how uncrowded this place is on non-ballgame days (Yes, they are open throughout the year now). They have a fantastic selection of beers - truly some of the best in Colorado. If you think it's nothing more than a Blue Moon, then you should definitely give it a try, because you'll be amazed by the variety. I have also been very happy with the service I've gotten. A solid place to drink and hangout during Rockies games, but it has a library like atmosphere on off days. Listen, you have one of the best venues to have a bar in the city of Denver and the people who run this place do not show it off. The staff does a great job in service and knowledge of the all the products in the bar. Beers and other spirits are second to none in this town, but where is the advertising for other events? I would like to see a full menu of food to complement the bar all year long, and expanded hours for this location to entertain during other events. Lots of potential....but a management staff that needs to use the home of Blue Moon beer to its full advantage. read more

Popped in here for a drink last Saturday night. Sat at the bar with a few other folks. The bar has the most comfortable chairs. They look like director chairs, only higher end and are surprisingly, light and easily moveable. Hubby and I enjoyed a beer and gabbed with a very friendly bartender. Enjoyed the place and beer glasses so much that we bought two beer glasses to take home. Place is off the beaten path. My take is outside of baseball season this is a pretty quite place to go. The beer is average at best. Here is a tip for first timers....you can get a couple of the beers at stands on the mezzanine. You don't have to circle the stadium for it. It is a neat place and a good change of pace from the rest of the stadium. Thats the positive. Here are the facts....Have had awful experiences in this place. The patrons and the barkeeps made me want to.....I wont say in case it ever happens. If your a beer nerd either go somewhere else, or just watch the game and be happy. My girlfriend and I stopped by on a Wednesday night during the offseason and was blown away. The place was nearly empty, but the manager struck up a conversation and told us about all of the history behind Blue Moon. The beer they serve is all brewed in house and tastes fantastic. I haven't eaten at all the places in Coors Field (although I may eventually get around to it some day), but the BBQ in the Sandlot Brewery is one of the more enjoyable places I have eaten at. This is for one reason primarily - the baked potato you can get topped with pulled pork. Is it the best pulled pork I've ever had? Nah. Heck, it's not even the best baked potato I've ever had. But, it beats the pants off of most foods you can get at a Rockies game and it's reasonably priced. Plus, while you're in that area you can get wine from the bar if you aren't feeling the beer route. Being a Blue Moon bar, I was hoping they would have more exotic Blue Moon brews on tap that I didn't have the chance to try before. Ah Blue Moon! Having gone to college in Golden, home of Coors and where the more commercial Blue Moon beers are brewed, it was a blast to go to the real thing. The beers you will get in here not the big names you'll find in your local liquor store. This is where the master brewers get to experiment and test what beer can really be. Best time to go is during the day. Get the tasters, they'll let you taste a lot of different beers, and they're cheap! read more
