We used Ratchet Industries on San Pedro for hail damage repairs on our truck through a USAA…read moreinsurance claim. Our communication was with the owner, Rori. The truck was dropped off on August 28 and was not marked "ready" until November 21, nearly 12 weeks later. During the repair process, we were repeatedly told it would be "two more weeks," but the completion date kept moving. Communication with both us and USAA was slow, inconsistent, and often nonexistent. Because of the shop's extreme delays, we incurred additional rental car costs. Ratchet Industries agreed to reimburse us for the rental expense, and USAA has a record of that agreement. The amount still owed to us is $1,604.84. After agreeing to pay, the shop again repeatedly told us payment would be made in "two weeks," but no payment was made. At the shop's request, we even tried working with them on a payment plan, but those payment dates have long passed and they are no longer communicating with us. As a final attempt to resolve this, we offered to accept half of the amount owed if paid by the deadline we gave them, which is now about six months after we incurred the rental cost. We still received no payment and no communication. When the truck was finally marked "ready" on November 21, it was not actually complete or properly put back together. The new drip moldings had not been installed, the interior paneling had been put back loosely and needed repair, the middle light housing was broken, and screws were missing from the tailgate molding. We have been very patient and gave Ratchet Industries many opportunities to resolve this. We are requesting payment of the $1,604.84 rental reimbursement they agreed to pay, or at minimum a written response and immediate plan for repayment.

When I got the car, the ppf had bubbles and the edges were not aligned well or evenly on the left and right side. The owner said I need to let it cure for 2 weeks then bring it back and he would fix the issues. I paid in full, which was a mistake. I scheduled twice to fix the problems, and the owner didn't show up either time. He just left me waiting outside his shop, no one was there and no one answered the phone when I called. He generally won't pick up the phone when I call and doesn't reply anymore to text messages. I also never received the STEK warranty. He claims to be a STEK authorized installer, but his business doesn't show up as one on the STEK website, make of that what you will. Poor quality work and unprofessional, I'll never be back.

We let them take our car and work on it because it was half the price, but weary as well. Across the street was the restaurant supply store so we went inside to kill some time and by the time we were done it took maybe another 10-15 mins but we are super impressed!! During the repair, ABQ Collision forgot to re-affix the under-tray, which came lose, and replaced the entire thing at the cost of the part. Some areas for improvement: 1. ABQ Collision did not promptly let me know that my replacement headlamp had arrived and I could bring my car in. I found out the part was there when I called to check since I hadn't heard anything for a while. 2. ABQ Collision was reluctant to admit that the under-tray issue was their fault, and did charge me around $60 for the part. I would have expected that to be written off since that was their mistake and the cost was relatively small. Still, I'd gladly come back.

I contacted numerous companies to get quotes and to try to get in their schedule. I was most pleased with this company on their quick and professional response to me. Because of this, I was willing to wait for a few weeks before they could get me on their schedule. I have never gotten windows tinted because when so many different options to choose from and I didn't know anything about the options prior to arriving the day for install. The woman at the front desk did a great job explaining to me my different options and what to expect for the asthmatic look and what the benefits of each tint would be. She was very patient and did not rush me at all as I was trying to decide. The work that was done looked very professional and it's been over a month now since install and I haven't noticed any issues. I cannot believe how much cooler my car is with the tinting and I can actually drive without my sunglasses now if I forget them. That's saying something! This is one I will not be using again. I scheduled a service call to have a sliding glass door repaired. The rollers and weather seal had failed and needed to be replaced. A tech named Joe came out to the residence to perform an assessment and take measurements if the door had to be replaced. It was a month before I heard anything from them about the estimate and that was only after I called them. In hind sight this lack of professionalism should have been a clear indication that I should have gone another route. But nevertheless I scheduled the repair job with them. The day before our scheduled appointment I received a call from their office rescheduling the appointment due to an issue with her technician. They did come out on the second appointment and did fix the faulty rollers, but the tech did not address the issue of the bad weather seal. I personally asked him if he was going to fix the weather seal prior to him beginning any work that day and he informed me that "it needed a moehair" and he would have to wait until he had the door uninstalled to determine which one it needed. Well he uninstalled and reinstalled the door without replacing the mohair unbeknownst to me. It was not until the following morning when I noticed the tremendous amount of freezing cold air pouring into the house under the sliding door that I realized he had not done as requested. I called the office to mention that he forgot to address the issue and was told that my door was old and the correct part was no longer available. Of course I then asked why it wasn't replaced instead of being charged nearly $400 to "repair" an old door that they don't make parts for. She gave me a long run around before finally convincing me to let them come back out and see if there was a solution. We set an appointment for the following, week which required I move things around on my schedule. Once again the day before the scheduled appointment I received a call from the office rescheduling the appointment. Long story short that same thing happened 2 more times before I decided to hire a different glass company.
