Two new cars, need tinting & paint protection film to protect the front from rock chips, plus the cinders etc on icy roads. Sent out a price request and Josh reached out within about 45 mins. Made an appt to do both cars. Wife's 1st, then mine. I was still waiting for delivery. We went with the Global Film for her windows. It came out excellent - perfect after allowing it to cure. Took a step up with mine. We went with the Autobahn Black Ceramic. A little better heat rejection. (Keeps the car cooler in the summer) I could tell the difference as I left the biz. Application was flawless and both cars look great. After comparing prices and product. Josh's prices were extremely reasonable. He's both knowledgeable and experienced, plus he's been around for a long time. That says a lot! I have no problem going back or referring others. Excellent service, quality and communication! Josh explained the different tint options and their benefits quickly and simply, without a bunch of jargon. The installation was done quicker than advertised and afterwards he gave me clear and simple instructions on how to let it cure. The final product looks amazing! It also reduces heat and glare as much as the product claims, which is the most important thing here in the frying pan. Interior vehicle temperature went down at least 20 degrees. If the outside temperature is below 85F, I can just circulate interior air without AC and save gas. We went with the ceramic film at 20% all around, on top of the factory tint in the back. I am a repeat customer at Desert Reflections Tint since moving to Albuquerque NM in 2021. My much loved 2020 Subaru Forester Touring got tinted windows right away after we arrived from Wisconsin. the factory tinting was insufficient in Albuquerque. Extreme conditions warrant extreme measures, and while we do not get multiple feet of snow in sub-zero conditions like Wisconsin does, Albuquerque has very strong, bright sun! Chad did a very professional job, and he also recommended I get the Ceramic infused windshield protection, and I'm so glad I did that, too. I just replaced my 2020 with a 2023 Subaru Forester Premium, mostly for the updated Eyesight safety system, as well as having fewer bells and whistles. I rarely drive and "Touring" was way overkill for my limited driving needs. So the first call I made after picking up the car was to Chad to set up the window tinting. Note: in the short time the cars were parked side by side outside at Fiesta Subaru as I was transferring my personal items, it was OBVIOUS the tinted windows made a huge difference. While they were working on my car, some scratches occurred on the paint. I would have just ignored it, but Chad and Josh INSISTED I call Tom at Lucky Stripes, next door, and he would take care of it. Believe me, in this day and age, to do business with such candid, honest people is a pleasure! Their professionalism was greatly appreciated! PS after assessing the scratches, Tom advised against repainting the mirror! He is getting a top rated survey, too! Last but not least, I did not realize that unlike Subaru's "Touring" trim level, "Premium" does not include dark tinting on the sunroof...once again it was caught by Chad, and on his recommendation it was taken care of in one visit. I found Desert Reflection on Yelp with great reviews, so I thought I'd give them a whirl. I spoke with the owner Josh, made an appointment, and got a follow up call about an hour before my appointment letting me know he was ready whenever I was. He quoted that it would take 30 minutes to tint my front two windows and that's just about exactly how long it took. I hung out inside the office space and waited patiently for my windows to be finished. It was comfortable wait and I was happy to see a restroom (although unused). My windows look awesome, price was very reasonable, and I was advised not open them for four days to ensure proper curing. I was surprised and thrilled to see some tape over the window opener buttons to provide a reminder on this forgetful brain. Haha. Josh told me what to expect and followed through - no surprises. Looking into where I should get my windows done for safety reasons and to cool my car off a little, Josh's business was the only one with 5 star reviews and now I know why. I called about a week ahead of time and Josh was able to accommodate my weird schedule. The location was a little hard to find, since my GPS led me in the wrong direction. I wasn't quite sure of what I had wanted when I got there (he explained the legal tints here in the city and that most people don't get their front windshield done), but I ended up with my passenger and driver seat windows, since my little Hyundai already came with the factory tint in the back. They were able to match the front ones to the back (so about 27-28% tint). They had sodas, water, and magazines in the waiting room. Josh said it would take about 20 minutes, but by the time we sat down, he was back in no time. Even with the higher-end ceramic tint and a Yelp check-in, it was about $80. Way less than the estimate he had given. We spent some time chatting at the end and he made sure to give a recommendation for some of his favorite fishing/ camping spots. On the drive home, I could already tell a difference in how cool the car was and it was like having sunglasses on for my car! It's been about 3 weeks since I got my tint done, and I am happy with the way it turned out. I would recommend Josh hands down. read more
