My family plays and we messed about for quite some time. Michael was welcoming and warm. He gave us a CD that he put together. We were lucky enough to have a CD player at our rental. I visited here to see one of my favorite bands, and was VERY impressed! It is owned by Sue and Bill, two impressively gracious hosts and just amazingly kind people. The concert room is very comfortable and intimate, but not at all crowded. Volume levels are perfect, and the mix is great. All seats have a great view of the stage, and lighting is exceptionally well done. I was very impressed with and appreciative of the complimentary water, tea, cookies, crackers, and other snacks. There is a donations jar to assist with expenses if you're so inclined. There is plenty of on-site parking as well as free street parking. Peninsula Arts Center is truly one-of-a-kind, and I'll plan my next visit to Long Beach around Peninsula Arts Center!

What an interesting find!…read more First off I love finding record stores to rummage through when I'm traveling but this place goes above and beyond that. Truly, I have never seen such a wide collection of DVDs, cassettes, CDs, and vinyl. Another alarming thing is how many of these items, such as the cassettes, are in the original wrapper! It was like a museum to the past, and I mean that in the best ways possible. It reminded me of the 90s being at the local record store combing the aisles for something that peaked my interest. This place is decorated with lots of plants, musical instruments and cats. Yes, cats. Apparently proceeds of this place help our furry friends and the cats often end up here as a second-chance shelter, so how do you not love that? The guy working there wasn't the friendliest at first, but once I started asking questions and buying things, he lightened up. I'm not sure if he thought I was just wasting his time at first or not. I'm sure a lot of people come here just to look. This place is a gold mine for anyone who loves music.

Bad vibes from this store.

Exceptional friendly service beyond any thing I could ever imagine from this family owned business…read more Laura and Sarah are each helpful over the phone and in person. I had difficulty picking a Yelp category for this business as they are a tool and equipment rental but also do camping, clamming, party and baby supplies. "You can't take a gun on the airplane" I just hate it when people tell me what I can't do. "but it's not a gun, it's a CLAM gun" a clam tube, a clam rifle, or sucker. A clam gun is about two and a half feet long and will not fit in a carry on suit case, nor will it fit in the overhead compartment nor under a seat. Besides I didn't own a clam gun and the cost to purchase one on ebay or Amazon.com is around $50 and I needed two. The cost to check a bag on the flight is $25. So it was beginning to look like a very expensive Zen clamming trip. Ever since I saw the Youtube video, Monster clams https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EBxERHMUwrA I've wanted to try clamming on Klipsan Beach in Washington. I had booked the flight, booked the condo, and even signed up for the clam digging "lesson". But every one I talked to in Long Beach, Washington told me there was NO ONE who rented clam guns so even if I purchased two up there I would have to leave them behind. After much searching, I did find a web site for All Rents (they say they are updating the website). http://allrentsinc.webs.com/ Laura was very helpful on the phone and said yes, they did rent clam guns. I reserved two guns for the weekend we needed and slept much better knowing I had all my ducks in a row for a great weekend. When we went to pick up the diggers we were reminded that we needed to purchase shellfish licenses, which we did in Washington. The cost...for the two diggers $14. The memories...Priceless.
