He is very responsive and informative. We scheduled an initial phone consultation and ended up booking Reid for our wedding. Close to the day of, Reid made sure to follow up with us several times. This put us at ease. Reid promptly showed up at the venue with his 2nd videographer, Joel and introduced himself. He was like an old friend. Reid is professional, easy to talk to, work with, and has a wonderful sense of humor. Not to mention, he worked quite well with our photographers. He and his partner were also quite helpful throughout our wedding when our day-of coordinator was nowhere to be found. We were very surprised at the quick turnaround with all the videos. We really enjoyed the highlight, the longer video, and the ability to download snippets of all the videos he took. There were so many little events we didn't see or notice. I was married 9/28/14 and had previously arranged all vendors except for videography because when doing the initial budget I had to make priorities, and dj and photography came first. As my wedding date neared I realized I really wanted to have the ceremony at the very least recorded. This vendor Transcend Videography along with many others replied to my ad. Based off his email response, website presence, videos of previous weddings recorded I decided to hire him over the others and he agreed giving me a set price and confirming he would be there. I had the money envelope prepared for him just as I had for the makeup artists, photographer, dj, hairstylists, etc. It wasn't until I was walking down the aisle and I looked around that I noticed no one was filming. I was extremely disappointed but refused to let it spoil my day. Later on I asked my sister, aka one of my bridesmaids if she had seen the videographer or paid him and said she saw no one either. Because we had the extra money I spoke with my photographer and he stayed an extra hour so I got more photos and he said had he known in advance he could have been able to set up a video camera too :( This was my wedding, the most exciting, expensive and happiest single day in my life. And all I have is a tiny, grainy, cell phone video my aunt took of the ceremony. All he had to do was let me know in advance he couldn't do the job. Even the night before. Something! I could have found a replacement. If this is how Brad Betts plans to start his business, I suggest to all brides to look elsewhere!

On my wedding day they barely tried to get a microphone to my ceremony so that our guest could hear. They played EVERY song that I said not to. He has a beautiful and welcoming studio attached to his house wherein jazz musicians, punk and metal bands, as well as all kinds of folk and rock musicians have recorded. He runs a very relaxed and open studio, but he is a very professional guy and when you tell him it's time to get down to business he is more than ready to work. I have know Jason for about three years now and our recording relationship has lasted just as long. After recording at both Dub Narcotic Studio in Olympia, Wa and Arcade Studios in Tumwater, Wa I settled down at Jason's studio. Jason created a much more welcoming experience. At the other studios I felt thrust into a musical competition but at South Sound Sound I am treated as a friend. The music is first and foremost for Jason and it shows with both his interest and willingness to improvise and create. I am not an easy musician to please. I often play every instrument in a song, randomly jumping from what ever instrument I get the impulse to play. Jason has a strong understanding of Microphone placement and use and responds to my random bursts of inspiration with ease. Usually, I leave the mixing and mastering process entirely to Jason. I trust his ability to create a sound I like and if I don't like something he quickly alters it to the best of his abilities. He often adds ideas, clips, etc to enhance a song and has a strong understanding musical direction. Jason is more than an engineer at a studio for me, he is a friend and I appreciate every time I return to his studio.
