My son passed away two years ago. Last December I was thinking of a way to honor him and the idea of recording a CD of songs that I could sing to him came into my mind. Up until then my singing had been confined to my basement. I made a few phone calls to recording studios in my area. After speaking with Kevin, I decided to meet him and discuss this idea. I went to his studio and he explained the process of putting together a ten song CD and what it would entail. Kevin was so encouraging, positive, and enthusiastic about my project that he made me believe it was doable. So, he gave me my first vocal exercises and the journey began! I think I could write a book on how amazing the entire experience was working with Kevin for six months - he provided me with an emotionally safe environment to sing to my son. He treated me with kindness and respect. There were days when it was very difficult, almost impossible to sing in the studio. But Kevin's patience and encouragement and awesome vocal coaching got me through. I got easier as time passed. Kevin is so comfortable to work with. He gives instruction with positive reinforcement which really helps build self-confidence!! Kevin is vastly talented. He is all things musical rolled into one! His singing voice is so beautiful. He graced my CD with his voice on a duet I asked him to sing lead on. He is a great songwriter, vocal instructor, plays many different instruments, has his own recording studio, and is a touring musician in his own band!! Kevin also helped me with his graphic design skills to create the jacket for the CD which includes a photo collage. He does it all, and I know it was serendipitous that I was led to him! With his help and guidance, I have a tangible and lasting musical tribute to my son that I will cherish and share with others.... And the best part is that because of Kevin, I have music and singing back in my life. I am going to continue to take singing lessons from him and feel ready to sing for fun again. Thank you Kevin!!!! read more

Kevin is one of the best musicians I have ever encountered, hands-down, and I know a lot of musicians and am one myself. I reached out to him for vocal lessons because I was hitting walls in my ability to compose and perform for a musical I am writing. In a matter of a few weeks, he unlocked so many things for me and helped me make rapid progress. More than that, though, he gave me hope. I always thought that people were either great singers naturally or not, and it wasn't really something that could be learned, but now I know differently. He showed me all sorts of techniques that I just never knew about before, and I would say I am at least 50% better than I was before if not more so. Kevin has a very easy demeanor and his teaching style is very non-threatening and comfortable. I highly recommend him to anyone who wants to level up their singing or musicianship! read more

I can't say enough amazing things about working with Kevin! From day one, he has been incredibly patient, encouraging, and inspiring. Kevin has a gift for breaking down complex techniques into simple, easy-to-understand steps -- making both voice and guitar feel approachable and fun. I am sure it helps that Kevin has been a performer much of his life and takes absolute joy in what he does. His passion for music is contagious, and he brings so much energy and positivity into every session. I always leave lessons feeling not only more skilled but also more motivated and excited to practice. If you're looking for a knowledgeable, talented, and genuinely supportive instructor who will help you unlock your potential and fall even more in love with music, I can't recommend Kevin highly enough. I've worked with Kevin since 2022 and my singing has progressed far beyond what I thought was possible. I came into singing nervous and self-conscious, but Kevin was patient and offered me many tools to build my confidence. Kevin does a great job of blending fundamental skill development (through exercises and music theory) while tailoring lessons to individual interests and genres. I have had a great experience working with Kevin. I started taking lessons with him to strengthen my belt and mix as well as to learn how to use my head voice for musical theatre style singing and have improved greatly after just a year. He provides vocal warmup audio files that I can use on my non-lesson days and just being consistent with using those have been a game changer. He also provides some insight as to how to strengthen a song that I'm working on acting wise, and using dynamics to convey more emotion through song. Would definitely recommend! read more

I absolutely love working with Kevin. I started lessons with a little bit of confidence in my voice and a desire to improve. With consistent lessons and affirming, informed feedback from Kevin -- my confidence has doubled. He has definitely helped me to nurture my vocal skills, discover my range, and claim my talent with pride. I have ADHD, so am sensitive to how people teach and coach me. Kevin is kind, patient and consistent. I always feel safe and free to express myself and ask for accommodations when I need. Kevin is fabulous at his craft. read more

Kevin is an incredible instructor! I have always felt comfortable and encouraged by him, even when I felt a lot of self doubt regarding my current singing level. It is a judgement-free space where I can really grow as a musician. Kevin has a lot of professional experience and is able to give meaningful, relevant feedback. Other instructors I've worked with were either too rigid in their approach or just not relatable. Kevin's also super accommodating when it comes to my varying work/school schedule. Would highly recommend K. Rose Studios!! read more

As a new singer, I felt Kevin was able to recognize the different ways of using my voice. I would always lose my voice when coaching/teaching after a few weeks. So he helped me remedy that. One of my best investments and still want to learn more when funds get better. My goal was to sing at a Karaoke bar and got my top songs in. I think I found out I have a 5 octave range. It helped I had a musician background and love music. read more
