Although they have a menu with wide variety, don't stray too far from something you can easily make yourself. During a family vacation, I came here twice. Once, on a Sunday night we ate at the restaurant. We were literally the only people eating there Sunday night and it still took forever to get our food because multiple people came to get takeout. We ordered the broccoli cheddar bites and stinging honey garlic wings for appetizers. The broccoli cheddar bites were really good, highly recommend. The wings were okay, a little dry, nothing special, but solid.
I ordered the cranberry apple walnut salad, my mom ordered the Cobb salad, brother ordered the southwest fiesta salad and my dad ordered the special fried haddock sandwich. All the salads were pretty good. I really enjoyed my salad. My dad said his sandwich was alright. The sweet potato fries were excellent. The curly fries were pretty good. The regular fries are NOT good. The beer selection is EXTREMELY limited. Overall experience the first night was pretty good, with slow-arriving food.
Second night we ordered takeout. Broccoli cheddar bites, crab quesadilla (special), and spinach and artichoke dip for appetizers. Crab quesadilla was pretty good, the spinach and artichoke dip was cold by the time we ate it, but if it were fresh it might be serviceable. The broccoli cheddar bites were great again. Unfortunately, I ordered the crab roll (special) for my sister-in-law but they didn't include it. So, she just ate most of the crab quesadilla, giving us a couple bites. Brother ordered a pizza with mushrooms and peppers with tomato sauce.
The pizza is similar to something you might find in a below average elementary school. Thick, undercooked dough with too much cheese and basic ingredients. DO NOT GET THE PIZZA. The menu should have given it away by not having any pre-made pizza options, and only make your own. I got a custom burger with mushroom, bacon, cheddar, etc. it was very good. They didn't ask how I wanted it cooked though so it was medium (at least). Mom and dad both ordered the scallop basket with clam chowder and the scallop basket was skimpy and subpar. The clam chowder was very good. Overall, it's one of the only places open on a consistent basis with a good selection of food. Don't stray too far from basic options (broccoli cheddar bites, clam chowder, cheeseburger, wings, salad) and you should be okay. Don't expect fast food, good service or edible pizza and you'll be satisfied. read more
