Communicates well. Gives you what you asked for. My eyebrows didn't come out exactly identical but hey you know the saying, they're sisters not twins. I guess the price is reasonable. One star because I actually like how my brows came out, though the process was slow and painful--the girl an obvious novice to the profession. I went to pay with my card where I'm told it's a "twenty dollar minimum" when I came last month and was able to use my card. I hand her a twenty and in providing my change throws the singles on the table despite me issuing payment in her hand. When I asked: "You couldn't put it in my hand?" Found this business on Yelp and decided to stop in because I needed my lashes done for my birthday. The owner wasn't present just an older woman who asked me if I had an appointment. She told me to have a seat and someone would be there shortly, after about 5 minutes a young woman walked in, sat her bags down, asked me what I'd like done. First thing I noticed was that she opted to sanitize her hands rather than wash them. This was a little bothersome to me considering we're still very much in a pandemic and she'd have to touch my face to render the service (eyelash extensions, eyebrow threading and tinting). I later learned that the restroom was out of order so it made sense. I'll likely come back to this review to remove a star because I began to lose lashes the MOMENT I got home. I live 10 minutes from the salon so I find that unacceptable. My right eye is very clearly less full than my left from the amount of lashes I've lost since 10/15. I've had my lashes done in the past and this was the only time the service was completed in under 30 minutes. Not sure if the tech was rushing but my right eye looks nothing like my left and I paid $75 for this hybrid set. I've also NEVER had lash extensions done with clusters, I'm not against it and the result is nice, I just found it odd. The woman who did my lashes also began talking about another customer while rendering my service and it was extremely unprofessional and awkward. I'd go back because my brows were done perfectly and I'd only go for back lashes if they discounted my next set significantly and if the lashes were applied by the owner, Sana. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at Sana's. I pass this strip mall all the time when I visit Gino's pizza and never once thought of coming here. Two weeks ago I was desperate to get my eyebrows done and was not in the mood to go to my regular spot deep into Queens and wanted to try something a bit closer to Long Island where I recently moved. Well, let me say, this was the best decision I've made (as beauty regimen changes go), in a loooooooong time. Sana was totally worth it. She shaped my brows, and noticed that one of my brows was terribly shaped and she adjusted it and advised me that it will be a work in process. I so appreciated that because normally, they would just thread off more hair to fix a shape and I'm left looking like an old broad from the 1920s. Just sayin'. Once she completed my brows, I was about to pay and leave and she mentioned she does lashes and that they are legendary! I thought that was cute and appreciated her confidence. But more importantly, I go ALL the way to Manhattan to get my brows done for a million dollars a set and I was surprised to hear that there was someone right here. Well, Sana was booked and told me to come back later in the day and she would take care of me. Suffice it to say, my hair salon appointment went quicker than expected so I called Sana and asked if I could come in earlier and she advised that her next client arrived early and she could squeeze me in. I loved my eyelashes, I may go a little lighter next time as I am a simple woman, but her process and the outcome was beautiful. My only problem was that one eye needed a refill like 3 days later. I know some people would think that's a big deal, but I don't. I am going to give Sana another chance and hope the lashes hang around longer. In the picture you can see how many of my real lashes fell out. Literally have bald spots on my lash line. They were rushing because of the amount of customers that didn't have appointments and were just doing walk ins. They didn't even separate my lashes individually they just stuck them on to any one hence why all those lashes came out. A very strange little place... The first thing you will notice when you walk in is that it is very small, cramped with chairs and very dark which is not very inviting or welcoming. I got a wax and when I came home (where I have proper lighting), I saw that there was so much hair that was not removed! Not sure if the issue is the waxing technique is wrong or if the place is so dark they can't see what they're doing..? No clue. read more

Had them for two days until I went back for her to take them off, wouldn't even give me half of my money back so I can go somewhere else to get them done correctly ! Sana is very unprofessional and changed her prices too often. She's very rude when she is not happy with the tip and started talking about you with her staff in her language. She uses very cheap products and expect to receive big tips. If I am not happy with your service I will still give you a tip but don't expect too much. She lacks of customer's skills. This was my first time getting my lashes done. She told me about different types of lashes and the prices and what she recommends. I was really anxious about the whole process but overall I had a good experience. I love my lashes. I got a mix of synthetic and mink. I think I will go for a more dramatic look next time. Update: so it's been a few days and they still look beautiful but I had some irritation and I didnt think anything of it but this morning I had to remove some of the extensions because of discomfort and some swelling. Upon removing some of the lashes I realized they came out in clumps. They were all stuck together and pulling on my natural lashes which is why there was swelling. I've been going to Sana for about 2 months for eyelash extensions. She changes her price every time. She charges all clients different prices. And she doesn't do a good enough job to be paying all that money for extensions. Eyelash extensions are expensive and if you are going to pay all that money, then I'm sure you expect to get what you want.
